However, when you first get in your car that has been outside the interior air temp is WAY hotter than outside air. Do Not put it on recirculate until you have driven a few miles and vented the super hot air from the interior (roll a window(s) down). Then, use recirclation.
What the heck the first method I never knew about that. No wonder when its very hot in the afternoon the AC never seemed to make temps any lower, but when I put my hand on the vents it feels cold. I've never switched it to thw re circulation mode. Thank you so much
They are not always located behind the glove box. GMs have it under the windshield on the passenger side beneath the plastic plate near your windshield wipers.
I always make sure the AC is turned off when starting my car to put less pull on the battery, once started , I turn the fan all the way up w the AC off to blow out the heat and drive w the windows down a couple minutes, once cleared, ill turn the AC on n then switch it to recycling the air once its blowing cold
*TIP: Roll down your windows, and leave OFF your A/C fan for the first few minutes of driving....whilst your A/C is on & set to "Max A/C".* This allows your system to get cold as fast as possible, and evacuates the excessive heat load within your car before your A/C attempts to cool it. THEN.....turn on your recirculate button, and your A/C will cool the vehicle faster than if you trapped that heat inside from the beginning.
I just kinda tapped out and vacuumed my cabin air filter cos i didnt have time to get a new one its obviously not as good but i made sure not to bend the shape will this break anything?
The car makes cold air then recirculates that cold air why’ll making more cold air so it just keeps getting colder. This setting however on older cars could freeze up the evaporator especially on cars that don’t cycle the compressor on and off. The fresh air setting won’t be as cold but the warm outside air stops the evaporator from freezing up.
Didn't know about the recirculation button. Only used it if i got stuck behind a car that had bad catalytic converter blowing straight smoke at me. Good tip on cabin filters and cleaning condsener. Also can clean your coil like that on home ac wall unit.
The best alternative way to increase cold is take the aircond pipe, wrap it using the home aircond insulation foam tube (the one in black color) and immediately you will notice 50% difference in it.. It preserve the cold and does not let the hot air from engine to interfere..
@@ozziesheppard17 yes, but by doing so, there is a big difference.. Living in a hot country such as Malaysia, many people do this and also, some people bypass the hot blowing air and shut it down totally..
@@qisrabutik7554 The refrigerant is actually still rejecting thermal energy until it passes through the txv or orifice, At that point it is absorbing energy (thermal) In any well designed system you want that orifice to be very close to the evap coil.
I change my cabin air every 3 months. Pressures also look good, next step I gotta do is cleaning my condenser I guess because my car blows hot as heck when it’s 100* out
Does your car have leather seats? My car does and has the same problem. When I first start up the AC on a warm to hot day, it cools faster with outside air. This is because the leather interior of the car soaks up heat and makes the cabin hotter than the air outside.

Great advice...
Yeah like Arizona 🏜 where the inside of your vehicle might just hit 145 degrees
@@nordicpride9708 and Texas idk what the fuck is going on here and my vehicle is black it gets upwards of 165 degrees in there
Good advice, thanks man.
I think recirculate is better period because it'll pull more hot air in from outside. The recirculated air will get cold faster

Wow! I been having problems for years turnt the recirculation on and it got colder. Bless you sir
Cheers mate used your first tip air Con gets cold twice as fast .thanks 😊😊
I was one of those people that didn't know about the circulation button. But I do now! Thanks!
I had NO idea! I'm gonna check all of that now. I have a 2018 Ford Focus and it's blowing hot air.
Thanks!
Never thought about the recirculation button,😄. Thank for the video.
This video was the cleanest , best pleasure ..
To catch a predator reference?
I didn't know about the cabin air filter. Hopefully that will do it for my car. Thanks

Recirculate is good for heating too in the winter time.
Actually in winter after engine warm I only use outside/engine warmth for heating. Never use actual heater.
Saw a video that recommended cleaning the drain hose with a special brush to unclog debris
and that can make a big difference also?
I didn’t know any of these tips ! Thank you
lmao i repair my own suspension replacing radiators etc and i didn;'t know about this. epic vid man :^)

Hello, a 4th good one is to check the ac drain hose underneath the car and clean/unclog that too. Regards

Thank you very very much 😄
appreciate your help a lot 👍

There isn't a cold air "pipe" the system used refrigerant to cool.

True! I had an Aircon guy regas my 4wheel drive. He said that's a good idea. No engine heat.
Your idea is better than the video
Thank you!
Super helpful thank you!! Earned a subscriber
Thanks for this video
Perhaps like you, I avoid the commercial condenser spray cleaners. I think they're too harsh.
Your advice for cleaning was best.
car door seals, windshield shade, foil window liners while parked
Thank you!!!
Thanks man
Always wonder what that button for.
Didn’t know about the recuirlation button, it was already set right, thanks tho
could you show us the difference in temperature in the reserc or outside air us viewers are curious
The ac should make 40 degree temps with the recirculating on the ac should go down to 30 or 20 on 100 degree days

Happy Birthday
Thank you. Happy Birthday to you too.
@@FlatRateMechanic Thank you😄
What it you don't have a Cabin r filter
Me sitting in my 2002 Cavalier with no circulation button. ☹️
Max ac is also recirculate
Ok
I didn't know about the the ac button
happy birthday
I didn’t know
I found out that the new Zero environment friendly refrigerant made with natural gas is much colder.
they think the blower motor is working faster on recirc there is the c60 option too
Lmao I didn't know there was a difference with that recirculation button!!!!! 😭😭😭
If ur recirculating air inside, it may have higher monoxide levels.
Scotty Kilmer beat you to this. Thanks
I should have known about the recirculation button I just didn't put two and two together smh
I didn't know that about the circulation button
Honestly I never know about that button
i keep telling my wife to put it on recirculation but she swears its colder the other way. smh
