Thanks so much guys! I just came upon a job at a new shop that's struggling to find its footing. As an ex-Starbucks partner, I never had to do backflushing because the Mastrena 1 has a port for cleaning tablets instead of using portafilters. This will help me construct a care guide for training on the Aurelia!
Yeah, that's your best bet. You should really install a water filtration of some kind on your source water because these things can build up scale very quickly and then it's a costly repair. - Kat
Hi Brandon. Love the videos. I have a Program VIP. Have you ever disassembled one of the group heads? I am restoring a 2003 now and thought may have some insight on "how to" Thanks!!
Thank you for this very helpful video. I just also wanna ask , in back flushing and using the cafiza or that detergent, ain't that chemical going to the actual reservoir or the tank ? Tia!
I have a 3 group Aurelia. Are there any specific instructions on how to descale? Should I just mix the descaler in a bucket and put the supply tube in the bucket to draw in the solution? Thanks for your tutorials... they are very informative.
I have a used Aurelia II Volumetric - and randomly steam starts coming our from one of the group heads - like a lot of steam. What would be potential fix? Thanks!
Hi!! Quick question, the right side brew head pulls less water than the right side brew head. At first the right side used to leak but we fixed the gasket so that’s no longer a problem, but the volume of water it pulls is. Is there a way to fix that?
Hello, I have a Nuova Simonelli 2 compact s semi automatic (which I can't find a single pic online of this machine)..The left side doesn't shower out, it sprays straight down..I back flush every 10 days..The right side is perfect... The machine is only 2 years old..Any ideas?
Hello Bill Sanderson, You do not need to descale a commercial Nuova Simonelli machine. However, if you are purchasing a used commercial Simonelli machine, then I would suggest taking it into an authorized service center so they can clean and possibly descale. Descaling yourself is not recommended. ~ Sarah
The T3 is basically a whole different machine. The T3 has individual brew boilers which allows the user to change the temperature for each group if they want(Hence the T 3 or 3 temperatures). It only comes in a semiautomatic version. The T3 is can be used with single origin coffees that need a certain temperature and then the other group could be sued for a regal espresso blend. The Digit is just the Volumetric version of the aurellia with a full color display which allows for ease of use for programming modes and auto back flushing and other modes. - Jason
Kris Bell You can order a Black Eagle by Victoria Arduino which is essentially a T3 that only comes in volumetric. Arduino is just a body style, but it comes with a T3 inside. Let us know if you have any questions about it! - Jason

Great to hear! A clean machine is a happy machine (and happier customers, too!) :D - Kat

How do we clean inside of the steaming wands? My store hasn’t been keeping up on them and brown stuff keeps coming out.
How do I adjust my machine to dose less water per shot? my double shots are pulling and 2.5oz and im trying to pull them around 2oz

Not positive; let me check in with Brandon and I will post when I hear back. Thank you! :) - Kat

What happens if i leave the portafilter in the water that has the cleaner?
Great instruction! Thank you!
the 39 degree tilt in the red logo is quite essential
Do you have to descale the Nuova Simonelli too? I read somewhere that Nuova Sim no recommend descale their machines?

my machine has stopped putting out as much water with the water dispense nozzle, do you maybe know a solution? it just started
I would guess that there's some scale buildup or it just needs a thorough back flushing and cleaning.
Why did you do the back flush that way, instead of using the rinse cycle?
Okay I just realized yours does not had an LED screen on the front. Although I thought we both had the Aurelia II..?
I'm not sure what you mean here - Kat
Soo, what's the difference between the t3 and the digit Aurelia models?
The T3 is basically a whole different machine. The T3 has individual brew boilers which allows the user to change the temperature for each group if they want(Hence the T 3 or 3 temperatures). Seattle Coffee Gear is there any possibility that they will release a volumetric version of the t3?
Thanks for the response

Are you guys going to start selling it? I'm in the market for an espresso machine and i would prefer to buy it from you guys.
Kris Bell I have sent you a personal message with our contact information. Let me know if you have any questions.
His response was 'the spec sheet says it does' ....so ... - Kat
thank you
I do not agree that taking the screen off is optional. This needs to be removed regularly
I am from Indonesia, please translate in Indonesian
Hahahaha - You know I don't (can't!) judge ;) - Kat
Clearly BWW needs to cut back on the java! :)
Thank you 1000 times
