Look, just reschedule the exam!! (No, there isn't a "last exam of the year." A quick Google search will show that.) They are administrated in a ton of places all year. The only thing is that there is a due date for college applications. So, just move out, practice some more to retake it and go to the four year school the next fall. You'll be more mature and more ready. Best thing you can do is to move far, far away from your psychopathic sister. Being homeless is better than living next to this monster. Even if she (the protagonist) goes to a community college, she can always transfer to a four year. I lived near Cornell University, which has a strong partnership with TC3 (Tompkins-Cortland Community College). A TON of very bright kids went to TC3 then transferred to Cornell on full rides because of low income and merit. It's a great way to get your gen eds out of the way and give yourself time to figure out your trajectory.

To all high school students out there. Missing a SAT test is NOT the end of the world. They are most useful for early admittance. And consideration for scholarships. If you are relying on scholarships, this is not the best path. Connections within your community are the best path. The media makes a big deal about people getting more scholarships money than they can use. They just get the money from the university they are attending. And Harvard has remedial tutoring programs.
A lot of schools are less reliant on the tests nowadays too. If they take them, they hold less value than they used to. Colleges know some people just suck at tests, so they look at your whole record and extracurriculars
You don't need a law degree to be a lawyer only need to pass the bar. And as a founder she would get more than just basic pay. A share of each won case is just the beginning.

Timothy dodged the bullet by NOT marrying Aurora. She would've been a weight around his neck and a drain to his wallet, since she lied about where she worked. Maggie on the other hand made her college education work. I feel the she should've slept on her ID and other papers she needed for the SAT test. Hind sight is 20/20. You get multiple chances to take the real SAT, not just practice ones. But even if she didn't take the real one 1st chance she could & that was the last one offered at her school that year, there are times it's offered at other locations. Plus you don't have to have SAT scores to apply to all colleges. Many will offer you their own entrance exam instead if you let them know there was some circumstance which made you miss the SAT. About the id thing itself though, maybe rules have changed recently but last I knew you didn't have to have only government issued id. Some teens, like me at the time, have not gotten a driver's license yet when time for SATs. I took the the real SAT at my school itself, so they let me take it with no id at all, only giving my soc sec number & full name. I knew others who took it at the downtown location set for those who missed it at their school, & their only id was their school id because they also didn't have a government id or driver's license.

Most states dont require any degree to be a paralegal. It may actual be more beneficial to get a job as a paralegal first as a lot of jobs will pay for you to get a paralegal studies degree and to take the notary test. That said 10 yrs in the field is kind of stretching it to then own a law firm

I retook the SATs at 27 just to see how I’d do compared to high school. All you have to do is pay for it.
Also you take SAT in junior not senior year not to mention in US it's becoming more acceptable to go to community college then transfer to a 4 year

Even if she (the protagonist) goes to a community college, she can always transfer to a four year. I lived near Cornell University, which has a strong partnership with TC3 (Tompkins-Cortland Community College). A TON of very bright kids went to TC3 then transferred to Cornell on full rides because of low income and merit. It's a great way to get your gen eds out of the way and give yourself time to figure out your trajectory.

@@emonighteverything4827 Not likely, but after what happened with Lori McLaughlin et al and Stanford, one never knows how far parents are willing to go. Also, a sibling might be willing at times. At any rate, when I took the SAT in 1995, the College Board said IDs were mandatory.

To all high school students out there. Missing a SAT test is NOT the end of the world. They are most useful for early admittance. And consideration for scholarships. If you are relying on scholarships, this is not the best path. Connections within your community are the best path. The media makes a big deal about people getting more scholarships money than they can use. They just get the money from the university they are attending. And Harvard has remedial tutoring programs.
A lot of schools are less reliant on the tests nowadays too. If they take them, they hold less value than they used to. Colleges know some people just suck at tests, so they look at your whole record and extracurriculars

Timothy dodged the bullet by NOT marrying Aurora. She would've been a weight around his neck and a drain to his wallet, since she lied about where she worked. Maggie on the other hand made her college education work. I feel the she should've slept on her ID and other papers she needed for the SAT test. Hind sight is 20/20. At least she is living a better life than when with that family.

You get multiple chances to take the real SAT, not just practice ones. But even if she didn't take the real one 1st chance she could & that was the last one offered at her school that year, there are times it's offered at other locations. Plus you don't have to have SAT scores to apply to all colleges. Many will offer you their own entrance exam instead if you let them know there was some circumstance which made you miss the SAT.
About the id thing itself though, maybe rules have changed recently but last I knew you didn't have to have only government issued id. Some teens, like me at the time, have not gotten a driver's license yet when time for SATs. I took the the real SAT at my school itself, so they let me take it with no id at all, only giving my soc sec number & full name. I knew others who took it at the downtown location set for those who missed it at their school, & their only id was their school id because they also didn't have a government id or driver's license.

Most states dont require any degree to be a paralegal. It may actual be more beneficial to get a job as a paralegal first as a lot of jobs will pay for you to get a paralegal studies degree and to take the notary test. That said 10 yrs in the field is kind of stretching it to then own a law firm

Going to a 4 year university means jack squat if you use it for nothing. Aurora likely is in so much debt from loans piled in with what she owes her ex-boyfriend. You will never get that dream job without your FIRST job. Very rarely does the first job equal the dream job. Aurora has a severe entitlement issue. It explains everything about her, really. The academic sabotage of her sister and the constant gloating of her so-called "genius." If she is so smart, why does she feel the need to lie all the time to others?

I wonder what the parents are thinking now? The mom's motor mouth(plus learning Aurora lied about her age, job & background) led to her original golden child not only losing her fiance & wedding but owing money to him. Even worse the unfavorite child the mom suddenly took interest in is doing great, has a reputation & financial status that is worth bragging about & is even Aurora's ex-fiance's boss however she's made it clear the family is dead to her for their past actions. Now all they have the "golden child" that hasn't done much for herself & now is penniless cause she was forced to pay her ex-fiance.
I can't help but imagine Aurora is likely throwing a tantrum & blaming the mom for ruining everything & switching sides though she can't do much else at least to her sister as Aurora has been made aware OP has the high ground. Also be funny if the family while suffering from all those losses see OP, her husband & Timothy happy on TV as something is mentioned/praised about their law firm. They all have to suffer knowing they'll never get bragging rights about OP & likely hold their breaths as they hope OP doesn't expose them for something as they know she has the power to make them suffer.(She obviously won't but they don't know & last time Aurora talked to her OP told her if she(OP) would show her who is boss if she tries anything again)
