    I am surprised I only just saw this video for the first time. It speaks volumes, in light of the madness and abject evil going on in Nigeria. I am so peeved about the country that after many years abroad, I am nurturing the idea to return home to run for office! It baffles me how a country can be so rich in resources, yet be economically squalid. There is a total lack of character in the land. From followers to leaders, we all need to change massively to move the nation ahead. A friend of mine returned to Nigeria to invest. She used her hard earned money to set up a poultry. She never made a profit from it because, her staffers stole her sily. The same people crying for a job...when they got it, they ruined it by stealing mercilessly from the poultry. Eventually, my friend wound up the business and went back abroad. And, they all lost their jobs. The land stinks due to lack of character and total absence of sound values. Politicians did not ruin my friend's business. People did. People also become politicians. That is why year after year, decade after decade, we stay rotten and poor as a nation. We lack Character and sound values!

    Falz keeps pushing the bounds with his cinematic interpretations of his views on society.
    The video opens with Demmie Vee in a public toilet with a long queue of people outside waiting on him to finish. This is actually a play on the line "people just dey do like say Dem no dey shit" meaning that the people outside would have probably insulted his prolonged use of the toilet as if they themselves wouldn't do worse if they were in the same position.
    The Camera follows someone who might be a house help going to clean the house she's employed, where she stumbles on her praying Madam, who turns on her immediately and starts abusing possibly for neglecting the same chore the house help was about to do. It's obvious her eyes are cloudy white, as if to seem she's possessed.
    The video rolls through and it depicts various atrocities people do everyday but their eyes are obviously clouded.
    Their eyes being clouded is reference to the song's message about being Hypocrites, because they would pretend to be the very same thing they are not. This is seen in the man who is gentlemanly to his wife until he gets possessed and bears his wife.
    The cloudy eyes could also mean they are blind to their conscience when they perpetuate these acts.
    Or they blame these acts on being possessed by the devil. Hence the very popular phrase, "it was the work of the devil o" people use when they want to absolve themselves of the consequences and responsibilities of their actions.
    It's important to note that the nation's electoral process is highlighted for the sham that is, thanks to the perverse security operatives whose jobs were to ensure a secure, free and fair election.
    Notice their eyes didn't cloud, this was probably to infer that they had lost their conscience long ago and didn't need to be possessed to act like demons.
    Also at the point where the politician was declaring his manifesto, an aide of his is seen sharing foodstuffs to the masses which they pay more attention to than the speech, this is to depict that the average masses would rather vote for if you fed his belly than if you fed his mind.
    The scene with the lawmaker signing the anti-gay bill is rather unclear. Is falz saying Gay people should have rights too and should be treated equally and that the bill is irrational as its assembly that signed it or is he saying that despite they signed such bills they are Hypocrites to the laws they made for they still lay with Gay people?.. A sensitive subject but it's clarity is somewhat muddled between the lines and the imagery.
    The television scenes depicts all the HYPOCRITES with their clouded eyes. Falz is on the TV and is still seen trying to speak to their consciences but it is quite obvious that they are either blinded or possessed by their religion, doctrine , power, wealth as they all watch the TV unmoved and unchanged, running through their motions and routines as if they were robots.
    Great voclas from Demmie Vee, his voice conveyed the emotion necessary for this song. Falz has once again outdone himself with this video, despite giving a clever show with the Curriculum.
    If you got here, you're the real MVP. I love to write Reviews for Nigerian music videos (this is the second o). Check out my first review on Burna Boy's Dangote.

    • @leggylasse6044
      @leggylasse6044 4 года назад +4

      @@patrickekpu4966 (ACCORDING TO MY RESEARCH)
      At the heart of the claim that the Bible is clear "that homosexuality is forbidden by God" is poor biblical scholarship and a cultural bias read into the Bible. The Bible says nothing about "homosexuality" as an innate dimension of personality. Sexual orientation was not understood in biblical times. There are references in the Bible to same-gender sexual behavior, and all of them are undeniably negative. But what is condemned in these passages is the violence, idolatry and exploitation related to the behavior, not the same-gender nature of the behavior. There are references in the Bible to different-gender sexual behavior that are just as condemning for the same reasons. But no one claims that the condemnation is because the behavior was between a man and a woman.
      There was no word in Hebrew, Aramaic or Greek for "homosexual" or "homosexuality." These words were invented near the end of the 19th century when psychoanalysts began to discover and understand sexuality as an essential part of the human personality in all of its diversity. Consequently, it cannot be claimed that the Bible says anything at all about it. The writers of the Bible had neither the understanding of it nor the language for it.
