  • This is my Unboxing and First Impressions video on the BRK Ghost Plus in Sub 12 Ft pounds, .177 calibre. I purchased and did a part exchange with Richard Hartley, a fellow MeWe member, who was really welcoming when I went to his home to get the rifle and he’s also super knowledgeable being a well experienced shooter.
    Stay tuned for Part 2 coming soon and also Richard has some rifles which he said I could video; I think we’ll do a joint video soon on those rifles, which from his description, sound like the ones to beat!

      Thanks for the comment. You’re right, it’d be good to do a video on this versus say the Delta or the Impact. Let’s see how it does on the initial testing first :)

    Excellent review. Absolutely the first one I’ve seen that shows the cheek pad being able to slide back past the magazine slot👍. They could have easily cut out a profile on the piece to allow it to move even more forward if they didn’t want to force people to spend more money on the accessories. My .30 is arriving tomorrow, and can’t wait to put it to use in my business.

    Moved my cheek rest further back on the dovetail so that it cleared the magazine port - I can now have 2 magazines in at the same time. Looks like yours is set up the same. Saves getting the cheek riser add-on piece👍

    Having had mine for a few months now, I decided to swap around the cheek piece rest to see if it could give me better eye relief for my scope. I then tried to put the mag in from the left side but no matter what, once in, it wouldn't cycle a pellet! Not sure as to why yet. Looks like a trip back to the shop with it. I have also found the reach for me once shouldered, is to short. With no adjustability, it looks like I'm going to have to make and install a spacer of about 30mm. At just under six feet tall, my arms are not long by any account. An adjustable for reach butt pad would be a great addition on any MK ll model.

    Great review. Just saying that the chrono readings I got with my LNBR chrono with the same weight pellets were a tad under the test sheet I got with mine. Probably won't make much difference in the real world though.

    FYI - Both my regulators are at 180deg to yours which makes it easy to read when the rifle is up to your shoulder - you can simply tilt the rifle left or right to read each one with ease 😀

    • @zubysan
      @zubysan  Год назад +1

      Thanks for the comment Simon. I predominantly target shoot so I prefer the gauges in line with the rest of the rifle. I don’t like it when the bottle gauge is facing one direction and the reg gauge is another; inconsistency like that shouldn’t be on top rifles like this

    Glad I am not the only one noticing poorly installed regulator gauges. Received my new Dreamline in 7,62mm. It comes with an externally adjustable regulator. The access port is at 4 o'clock so I can get to it with a bipod fitted. Because of that the front tank gauge is also not in line with the gun.
    I expect more on a +1000€ item. 👎👎

      Hi Bear Face. Thanks for the comment. I haven’t noticed a ping but I’ve only just got the rifle and I need to clean it then lead the barrel in. Once I’ve had some time shooting the rifle
      I’ll be in touch. Also I don’t unfortunately have a decibel reader; it’s not been top Priority on my must-buy list. I can see if anyone at the ranges I go to have one and if they do, I’ll see what I can do

      @@zubysan thanks tons for reply. I just use an app on my phone. Well a few to check results agree.
      BRK techs actually described the Ghost as one big tuning fork to me! As I say I’ve managed to to make more bearable. Let me know if you find same prob will happily share what I did to improve it. To be fair in shooting conditions down the range with ear protection on I can’t notice it. Indoors I do.
      Also on a random one - please try RWS Superfields in your test selection preferably in 4.52
      They out performed most of the other top brands in my Ghost.
      I do use heavier pellet outdoors. I know ever rifle is different just feel these RWS are over looked.
      I do love the Ghost. Great trigger and many other great things. I’m with you on pressure gauges also annoys me lol I do wish there was a little less play in cocking lever up/down. I was told needed to be like that for heat expansion hmmmm My new custom air Arms HFT 500 has zero play in cocking level up/down .
      I’m gonna stick my neck out but from y findings the Ghost is superior to the FX Impact.
      Ps really enjoy your content and no holds barred attitude. Please keep going as we do value your reviews.

      @douchewigz Год назад

      Power deviation was about 7fps over those 12. All in all I wouldn’t swop my Ghost for anything else including a Delta Wolf. I have a few PRS bits on mine too and with decent BR scope it’s now a heavy rifle.
