I couldn't think of anything worse than having to visit 15+ properties per day just to make my day rate. The phrase busy fool comes to mind. I appreciate it has it's benefits, security, repeat work, more customers could lead to bigger jobs etc... but it's not for me. Plus my customers are only ever talking shit about how their window cleaners never do a proper job, or they dont communicate or even don't turn up at all. I'm putting no work or money into advertising at all apart from my very basic website which is just there for show. All I've ever done since starting is post before & afters on Facebook and make the odd 60 second video. It's not rocket science, show people great results and the reputation and recommendations follow.
@@SMOUT_ I clean windows at plenty of property's that take a day rate, very rare I go to.15 houses a day, wfp window cleaning is easy on the body too, you won't be cleaning roofs until you retire that's for sure, whatever ever works for you at the end of the day👍
@@SMOUT_ Busy fool? Take away your costs and I would be suprised if you're earning much more than a decently priced window cleaner. Roof cleaning is literally the hardest work in the exterior cleaning industry. Your body will be broken in a few years. I've done both lines of work and the guarenteed and almost infinitely scalable business model of window cleaning wins every time.
A couple of points to consider, most solar panels have a 25 year warranty and most companies will void the warranty if any chemicals are used to clean them - they send them away to be analysed! If your cleaning method causes damage you might find your insurance company reluctant to pay out if you have used chemicals as it could be classed as negligence on your part! As for the solar panels being isolated indoors it makes no difference to you as the panels generate power in day light so they are 'live' no matter if they are isolated or not. Good to see a variety of work, great results on the gfs.
@@SMOUT_ Each panel is about 30 volts dc but they are connected in series so 10 panels are about 300volts! You would be extremely unlucky to get a fault that could cause you to get a shock. As far as I know there is no way to protect yourself unless you want to clean them after dark!!! The clx pole is a carbon/fibreglass mix and the bottom section is insulated so that helps. Be aware that the gvs power pole is all carbon without an insulated bottom section so never use that for solar panels and watch for overhead power cables when using it.
Technically you would want to be isolating the panels while cleaning, these switches should be in the attic or at the consumer board.... These tend to trip out in some cases in very heavy downfalls

The glass may look shiny but to have it that shiny they’ll be a film on the glass Which means contaminants will stick to the class, much quicker and easier pure water, 0 ppm is it only real way to do the job properly But I agree trying to spread yourself over too many different jobs/industries is either exhausting I’m not worth the time and effort to get that amount of information and knowledge. Alternative you could do is what I do I do windows and recommended the pressure washer service guy I know if they want that service and he recommend me to his customers when they want my service ie windows & gutter service
Window cleaning is less per job but regular monthly income compared to constantly finding patios, driveway, roofs jobs etc. I like to have as the base income and then offer the extra services to my 600 or so customers each yr.
Just came across your channel and I love it :) I've done roof cleaning, Power washing and window cleaning and I must say I find window cleaning by far the easiest way of making money, I hated power washing and cleaning roofs etc lol. I have moved over 100% to window cleaning, with the odd gutter clean and conservatory roof clean. £300 a day at a leisurely pace, with no real out-goings other than fuel and resin, (the resin is only £100 every couple of months) and all the other equipment is paid for. You can make better money with a consistent flow of power washing jobs, however it's a lot tougher on your body, you have higher out-goings and I personally find it quite stressful as there's lots of things that can go wrong, jobs can end up taking a lot longer than you anticipated and you need to return to properties to finish sanding and biocide treatment etc depending on weather. That being said, if you enjoy it and you've got a good flow of work, I'd imagine pay very well and be enjoyable as well, just not my cup of tea lol
I also tried videoing all the jobs, making content etc and all the hassle was just too much on top of cleaning lol I've got a new found respect and appreciation for all exterior cleaners who make videos!! Keep it up :)

Love all the tips and the chat sessions, have learned a lot and really really want to make a go at it. Had a crash last week, nothing to crazy but damaged the car so its out of action still, hurt shoulder and back slightly which hasn't helped as I'm already out of action from the back injury got at work.

mate, I have a commercial property with very high windows I will NOT be able to brush, can I get away with pressure washing them? can you give me a lil advice on how to buy a smaller version of this product? thank you. great videos.
Window cleaning is your bread and butter mate... When it goes all goes to 5hit (recessions) they always want their windows cleaning.. Pressure washing/gutters are just the icing on the cake...I personally would not pressure wash fascia. Roof timbers can get wet. Better off back pack and WFP if you don't have van mount.

Yes matey, super low dilution. Not necessarily recommending that everyone uses it. This is just what I've found that works for me.
