$49.99 at our local Ollie's store. No joke! Although they're factory serviced, they're sealed in George Foreman boxes with warranty, extra plates, instructions and all. They look and work like new!
This is the exact grill I have as well as another friend. No issues after more than a year of use. Sorry you had issues but my friend and I just haven't had any. One came from Target and one from QVC. QVC was higher priced. Target sells for the same price now as it did then. I love mine but hope you found something you like better. Happy cooking.
Only thing is, it needs higher ridges, those ridges are too short, if you put a piece of meat behind another, the one in front will just absorb or block the grease.
I bought this grill from QVC and love it...use it all the time. I do have a question....what is the cleaning tip for the top grill? I've tried everything....I don't like residue yuck on it. Thanks!
+Denise Macias I have a small foreman grill and am looking at getting this one, $69 open box on Amazon and was looking at reviews... Anyway... from Googling the small one on cleaning, best I found is after you cook something and unplug it, put a wet warm towel on it and close it.. Let it cool and just wipe. The steam and damp towel will scrape up the hard stuff. I wish I had known before damaging mine with some harder scrubbing.
Very disappointed I bought one and the plates do not clean very we'll :( thought they may be faulty but the company i bought if from refused to change the plates. I eventually had to buy some new ones and have not bothered to use again in case I have the same problem. Waist of money on an expensive grill. back to my frying pan that does not stick :(
I had the same problem. Proteins start to stick on the ceramic plates almost immediately. The cross-hatch pattern makes cleaning difficult as well. Your plate are not faulty, it's just a crappy product. The old school non-removable surface was much easier to keep clean. After having two Evolve grills (one died) and buying extra ceramic plates that still wouldn't stay clean, I have decided to ditch this for the classic model.
I agree Sonia it's rubbish non stick and I have not used mine since getting new plates :( some people suggest putting foil on them! but what is the point of it being advertised as non stick! expensive waste of money. As I said a good pan on my Miele induction hob is better and the pan just rinses off!
mallic I always cleaned mine right after I took the food off, even before serving the food. The problem was that proteins would stick and a paper towel wouldn't cut it with this grill. I have gone back to the original model with the original non-stick surface and I can wipe anything off completely with a paper towel. I don't even have to wet the paper towel.
mallic Yeah, I was literally wiping it down right away. Sometimes even still plugged in. I was extra careful with the second set, knowing that I had the problem with the previous set. It was good for the first few uses, but then things would stick. I could not get it completely clean. There was a residue left behind after just wiping, especially cooking things like fish and chicken. If you scrub on it to remove the residue the coating is compromised and it would be downhill from there. So I was left with grill plates that I didn't think were totally clean. I went back to the XL original grill with the original nonstick surface and I can get it totally clean with just a paper towel, no residue.
the blond whoman , looks as she newer cook before, dam what a mess, they shuld use somone that know how to use it and make it look nice, he he, i think the grill is ok i guess,

Why is she using metal fork with waffles? This thing has nonstick surface on which no metal utensils are to be used right?
Rubber tips on those metal tongs.

This is one of the worse grill with ceramic I thought I would never buy a George Foreman grill again but I did I love the George Foreman grill 6-1

Huh I haven't had an issue. I am wiping it down when it's 400 degrees or so. With a wet paper towel it practically steams right off.

Not a natural conversion at all. Just two people trying to get out their lines. They need a lesson from Cathy.
