Took my lad to his first soul weekend at prestatyn in Feb he loved it, keeps asking where are the dancing people dad. Hes only 3 and loves watching the clips on youtube.
Remember asking Ricardo Searlingo.... you know the tanned guy, for this when I was 13, at an all-dayer in Oldham... but he didn't have it...... but he played "James Mac & The Chicago Gangsters" to all twelve of us....... maybe six??..... and gave a value on my Five Stairsteps tunes on Windy C from the "junk shop"....... god I love Mexicans!! a general question. would u guys agree with me when i say northern soul tunes are more "swingy" and danceable tunes than other soul tunes (j.carr: dark end of the street; al green: change is gonna come). i'd say i like soul music a lot but cant really get into a lot of northern soul tunes as they are too "fast" (or something lie that). its hard to express. (also there are northern soul tunes i really love (patti drew: another). thx for answering. greets from germany.
