Danny, this is such a fantastic remix video! In terms of visuals, it's easily your best yet, and the orchestral arrangement here is incredibly well-produced. I've really been enjoying watching this since you posted it earlier this week, and as you mentioned, it's a perfect way to usher in the warmer weather as everything comes into full bloom. 🌼 I'm always so impressed by how you're able to wield so many different instruments adeptly and create combinations that fit a variety of moods, ranging from delicate and pretty, to uplifting and cinematic, to downright threatening! For instance, the vibraphone at the start perfectly sets the stage as the scene opens up, and I can just imagine a dew-soaked garden as the sun is peering over the horizon. Then, with the rising sun, as everything begins to glow and warm up, you can really feel it in the music at:43 the transition leading up to 0:43. It sounds so professional, and if you told me that the music was taken from the soundtrack of a AAA title, I wouldn't question it for a second. The song flow here is downright superb, and I love how you lead into the appearance of the Bulborb with chords and dynamics that suggest a bit of unease at 1:11. You can tell immediately in the way the music shifts that it's not immediately threatening, but there's definitely some apprehension, and I feel like that's a very unforgiving task that takes a lot of skill and effort to pull off. This song is a real exemplar for creating and resolving tension, and I'm definitely taking mental notes here! But wow, I love how it sounds at 1:36, with those freeform phrases that sound exactly like what you might hear in an animated show or film where danger lurks nearby, and the characters are tiptoeing cautiously around. Then, at 1:50, you've turned the normally serene Forest of Hope melody into a bona fide fight theme, which is just creative and cool beyond measure. I honestly never imagined I'd hear this iconic theme presented in such a style, but it works so well, the way you've done it. And the way the song winds down at 2:39, with your amazing arranged ending creates a feeling that's hard to describe - resolute? mysterious? sad? placid? ...all of the above? And the fact that the visuals also create a cliffhanger ending adds to the intrigue of it all... what became of the Pikmin?! Speaking of which, holy heck, the visual presentation here is just above and beyond! I can only imagine the number of hours it took creating assets for the video, applying effects, and automating all the movements. I like how, as the music sets the scene, the title, maestro, and actors all emerge onstage. Stu D. O.'s design feels especially fitting here, as those green coattails sort of resemble sepals - a serendipitous detail! And I like the movement patterns in the Pikmin, how they jump in succession, and with different weights, too. But then, when the title and Stu go offscreen at 1:31 - with an accompanying shift in the music, no less - you can tell something sinister is afoot! The Bulborb scene is just next-level, and I love how you've precisely timed the Pikmin's movements with the articulations in the audio. Even those mallet rolls are synced with the Pikmin quivering in fear! If that isn't attention to detail, I don't know what is. It's neat how the rear side of the enemy is shown, just like how so many enemies in the game are encountered from behind; unfortunately, the Pikmin were not so lucky to escape its notice this time! The way it charges at them and the retreat in tandem was really well executed, and as Steel pointed out, the nervous sweat beads are a charming detail! I like how you've really given the Pikmin lots of personality here, with their fearless Blue leader and the easily-frightened Red one. Through their movements alone, you were able to convey that clearly, which is testament to how well-animated this is. And I admire Blue's final, yet feeble attempt at 2:31, standing up to the (relatively) gigantic foe, before the crew flees offscreen to an unknown fate... 😶 Seriously this kind of video is right up my alley, and I am so happy the ZGEV being used to such an extent, and to see such incredible coordination between audio and visual elements. It takes loads of effort and creative energy, but the end result is an engaging and highly enjoyable remix video! You may have set a dangerous new precedent for yourself... 😼 Keep up the phenomenal work, my friend! 💛
Thanks a lot!! I had the idea to do something with more of a story on a whim while laying out the groundwork. I was watching some older Looney Tunes cartoons and got the idea from the music stings when characters sneak around and such. I'm really glad you liked it!! I'm hoping to keep this up for a long while!
It's absolutely an art, it's beautiful! I'm really a fan of orchestrated music, and it fits very well with the atmosphere of the original music Finally, I really appreciate the animations from the middle of your remix. It shows that you care about the details, and it's really cool to watch! Keep it up :D
Just like how the outdoors are full of life, this cover is also full of life!!! I love the visuals in this! How it’s animated and synced to the music is really cute and brings me a lot of joy!
Oh man! I love myself some Pikman! A great way to celebrate recent warm weather! And WOAH, I was not expecting such an AMAZING transition in the middle!! I absolutely LOVE it! Even the sweat coming off of the red one at 1:48! And then the second half of the song burst in with some up beat orchestral energy! And that outro could not be a more perfect note to end the cover on! All around INSANE work on this man! Keep it up! :D
Wow, this is awesome! I think it's one of your best remixes! This is a really dynamic composition, it's rich and full of emotions! The orchestra is articulated very well, the instruments have natural sounding dynamics that go up and down, very well done! It's crazy how you barely have 100 subs, you deserve a lot more. The music and video quality is very good, so no problem there, it's just that the RUclips algorithm is unfair sometimes and pretty random if you ask me. No worries though, keep up the good work! 👍😃

I had the idea for the transition completely randomly as I wanted to spice it up, but wasn't entirely sure how at the time haha
