What a bop! I love the percussion in this, especially that stuttering groove you have with the conga (if that's what it is 😆). The middle section with the beat drop and bass was super cool too. Great work! 😃

      Thank you very much! 😊
Yeah I used both bongos and congas to give it a more jungle-esque feeling and I love that it came across well!

Thank you very much! I got on a Wii binge while going about my days and this song came to mind almost right away, even though I'm not overly familiar with Wii Party haha

The Wii is one of my favourite consoles ever. Wii Sports especially was the king of family game nights!
Thanks for checking out remix! ❤️

Wow, man, this is such an upbeat and high-energy piece! Honestly, I had never given Wii Party much thought before, but you've shown that this game's OST has some serious untapped potential! I love that you're always covering these lesser-known songs, and I've been introduced to several new games and soundtracks through your remixes - major props for that!
As Glitchman mentioned, the percussive elements here really shine, and the bongo and conga lines (heh) really create a neat groove that adds lots of density and style to the beat. I'm trying to imagine what the drums would sound like without those, and it really would sound fundamentally different - I think they're really a feature element here! It also imbues the piece with sort of a summery, tropical feel, which seems fitting, given that it's the time of year when parties are most often held. In any case, I can't not mention the rest of the drums, because there's really a lot going on here, and it all works really well. I love the hi hats, and they're perfectly mixed with the kick and snare (love that snare sample, by the way), creating a solid series of patterns. The way you mixed up the snare rhythms at 1:08 was so sick, with that offset pattern in the second half of each measure, with a different rhythm in the kick, as well. Kudos for always keeping things fresh and dynamic in both the tonal and percussive elements!
This is a unique instrumentation you've created here, and it's lighthearted and fun, but with a little bit of wackiness, too. I've never played Wii Party, but I imagine that if it's like any of the other "Wii series" games, it probably doesn't take itself too seriously. XD I think the fact that a good number of the synths used here have a kind of voxxy tone works well, and there are some really cool LFO and pitch-bend effects that make some of the notes have inherent quirks, like that really neat synth used at 2:10 as the energy ramps up for a big finale. And man, I love that sound that warps up and down, like a tape-stop effect (first heard at 0:55)... I don't really know how to describe it, but I think you know what I mean. 😅 Honestly, there are just so many cool details throughout that it's hard to pick just a few of them to point out!
As always, I enjoy seeing the different iterations of Stu D. O. making appearances in your remix videos, and the fact that you have specific variants to reflect your three major domains of music is really a hallmark of your videos, I feel. Also, I hugely admire that you're being so intentional about shouting out different people in the VGM remix community in your videos from now on - like seriously, that just warms my heart more than I can put into words. 😊 It's so awesome to see Steel being mentioned, and I'm a fan of Shea's Violin, as well! However, I hadn't previously known about FreakVGM, but I'll be sure to check out their channel with your endorsement of it! Keep up the amazing work, Danny - both with your remix videos and your endeavor to help artists discover one another! 💛

Thank you so much for your kind words! It truly means a lot! ☺️
With the tape-stop effect I wanted to make a sound that would make remixes I do in this style more recognizable, kinda like a trademark in a way. I got the idea initially for the Cheetahmen remix I did but it stuck after experimenting with other ways to influence the sound!
And yeah there's a lot of untapped gold mines out there and making sure people know about them is super important! Even if one person discovers something new from this I'll be happy!
