Yesss starting with Rusty Bucket Bay!!! Thank you so much for taking my request. Your version was so unique and awesome. I can imagine everyone dancing to this theme in a club on the boat during the level haha. The beat and energy are fantastic! I really like the other songs, too, and you made everything transition really well. Really nice job with the different genres, too. Great job, and congrats again on passing 200 subscribers. You're getting closer to 300!
Well first of all, congratulations on reaching over 200 Subs... by a fair margin at this point given you're at 242. Gosh, we're almost equal here. 0:30 - There we go; there's the Banjo Kazooie charm of the original Rusty Bucket Bay. I see you decided to create a greater bit of build up to this charming jingle, now having a rather circus/carnival feel to it's tune, despite the heavier beet backdrop. 0:43 - Now this bit of build up I much prefer. The brief moment the tune quietens down and then booms back to life is great. The tempo picks up like in the original tune but in a more exciting manner. 1:30 - Rusty Bucket Bay takes a breather here but I see you opted out of that, though slowing down still to the original beat's speed. It still flows very smoothly, despite the removal of the gap. 1:56 - You also spice up the music a lot more than in the original. Rusty Bucket Bay feels like it's played it's course within a single minute and then loops with the same rhythm but you've expanded the instrument, volume, and energy for a more varied 2 and a half minutes here. 2:49 - Love the segue into the next track here. Again, wonderfully smooth despite the difference between your style of Rusty Bucket Bay and Targitzan's theme. 3:35 - I was looking forward to seeing what you'd do with the background chorus and I love it! The chanting is a stellar touch. In a strange way if I were to compare the original vs your remix here, I'd say the first one has a style akin to A Link To The Past and your version has more of an Ocarina of Time vibe to it. Rather odd that (the first 30 seconds of Targtizan's theme really made think I was listening to A Link To The Past ost). 4:00 - The different in tone are less stark here compared to the prior Banjo remix... but you are upping the sinister aura of Targitzan well here. Guy's aiming for final boss spot role here. 4:46 - Targitzan's on low health and getting serious is the vibe I'm getting here. Not quite a new phase, but he's increasing his attack speed and amount. 6:00 - The tone is all over the place in Armydillo's Jungle Japes tune, switching between comical, sinister and triumphant trumpets, but you've much better consistency with the rocking guitar here. 6:26 - I see some of that triumphant mid-point tune still remains though but it feels like an early conclusion like the original and more of a mid-way ramp up of adrenaline. 8:29 - The instruments may have changed but the relaxing and pleasant vibes still shine through. The tempo is well kept like the original, as is the zing of new instruments and sharper strums. 9:02 - Okay, quite a pivot in style. The former sounded like a tune that would play if Delfino Plaza had a science lab you could visit. This straight up sounds like you were a musician for the original game. Great replication of the style. 11:15 - So far, so subdued... which works for the museum setting. The original Oceanic Museum is a lovely theme but feels a bit too bombastic for a museum (I believe it's a remix of the SS Anne theme, where it was more appropriate). 11:37 - So soft and soothing. Now this is what I expect to hear from a museum.
Thank you very much for your thoughts! I really wanted to aim for different sounds and feels for each remix to make each of them stand out from one another! Thanks for checking it out!!
Wanted to wait till I could fully listen to this to comment first of all congrats on 200!!!🎉🎉🎉🎉 and now I can say all the songs are amazing!!!❤🔥🔥 ps:love the Transitions❤
@@HEKProductions Success is measured differently by everyone. To me at least this is a nice occasion and something I want to celebrate even slightly. Even if it isn't hard to get 200 subs I just appreciate that that many people want to stick around for a hobby channel 🙂
