I have the utmost respect for Valentina. After she was told she sucked and that her English was poor, she held her head high, didn't go off into a temper tantrum and insult anybody. She went home, collected her thoughts, managed to learn much more English and performed at a level higher than the original. That is a woman with integrity and for that alone she deserves more than her fifteen minutes of fame.
Heard a non-English cover of this over the weekend and my mind wandered to Ms Hasan. What a champ she is. I hope she's living her best life possible.

This is so beautiful. All that the audience saw was courage and strength and bravery and admiration, and they had nothing but respect for her. She may not have been in tune for everything, but that doesn't matter in the end. This woman is a powerful representation of what it means to stand up for yourself and doing what you want to do. She showed us that trying is worth it, no matter how humiliating people may try to be, and that you can learn anything you set your mind to. Thank you Valentina for being an inspiration. Thank you to the people that saw her and appreciated her bravery, and helped make her more famous than the people that put her down.

She seems to understand that we love her unique spin on the Mariah Carey classic. We didn't come for Without You; we wanted Ken Lee...and Valentina delivered.
I think she is a great sport, she gets up, holds her head high and sings from the heart. She even sings the Ken Lee dibu douchoo bit on purpose toward the end. I admire greatly anyone who can recover and learn from their embarrassing moments, EVERYONE makes mistakes, only those who can admit it can then improve themselves.

"Tulibu dibu douchoo" that's the toughest part for her to get over,she already sang out "if living is without you" prior,but when it got to that part,it took over...but then again,she doesn't need to change that,this version is hers exclusively,and she got more views than a lot of English speaking contestants singing the same song.
