I feel like jyp is good in some respects like that. That they helped them focus so much on song writing and then you had groups like wonder girls where they all trained to actually play instruments and know how to play them well

Day6 has a Golden discography, they don't have bad songs. Songs that get under your skin and into your heart. I highly recommend Cover, You Make Me, What Can I do, days gone by, Where the Sea Sleeps (a subunit song) and Best Song (Young K's solo) 😍
Youngk is the rapper in Congratulations. YoungK is the most accredited songwriter in JYP other than jyp himself. He’s a literal music and brain prodigy. He’s so good at everything. He almost made it to debut with Got7 but the day he went In to tell management he nailed a backflip which was a requirement for Got7 as they do acro, they told him that’s great he nailed it but now he’s in a band🤣🤣 Youngk is also the first and ONLY Kpop idol to enlist in the KATUSA military. He serves both American and S Korea military and is a highly prestigious unit to get into. You have to pass a series of tests basically for geniuses and must be fluent in both English and Korean to even be consider. He also can make a trumpet instrument sound with his mouth and voice, and does it in his Frank Sinatra cover! I know I interact with you a lot on your Twitter with NCT but Day6 and Young K are my ults and they literally have some of the best vocalists in the industry. Their music is so raw, so real, so unique, all self written (YoungK with the lead in the songwriting department lol). Man you are in for a roller coaster ride. They do have happy songs too 😜

And the Demon album 2020 is a no skip, soul healing but heartbreaking album as it was the album they announced a group hiatus. I promise though it’s amazing. yes Dowoon, the drummer sings, it's just that he's shy and not confident with his singing voice. He's a crucial member in harmonization because of his deep voice, try listening to their I'll Try Live Video and their I loved You instrument switch version. Day6 is so freaking good! I recommend pretty much every one of their MVs, they do have a lot of them because of the "Every Day 6" project! And if you want to check more k-bands I'd definitely recommend N.Flying. Their main vocalist (Yoo Hweseung) has some crazy vocals and they have a really nice mix of rock and rap on their songs.
Day6 concerts are the only ones I’ve been too where everyone is dancing and just having the time of their lives and not recording the whole thing. Also their the only group for me who does not have one bad song and their vocals are so Incredible and their voices are so distinct, I love it.
I toally agree. Their voice live is just golden. We went to their Gravity concert in Manila in 2019, it was epic!! Everyone was just having fun and was singing along. ThAt was the last concert I went to before pandemic. I miss them!!

Originally, when they were 6, Junhyuk was the keyboard player, and Wonpil did synths (as in Congratulations). Nowadays, Wonpil does both in combination. Interestingly, that gravelly kick that Sungjin has in his voice _isn't_ natural. He actually has a much smoother tone, but learned how to add the effect to help give him that rocky edge. I Need Somebody remains my favourite Day6 song (despite serious opposition), and never fails to make me well up (yes, even while I'm typing this). And yes, this _is_ what they sound like live; I saw them in London just before everything locked down, and this song in person is just... You still _have_ to scream along through the tears. Drummer Dowoon _wasn't_ a singer, but he's always had a stunning, if untrained voice when he does. So Day6 debuted with 6 members, at the time Wonpil's position was Synthesizer/Main Vocal. But not long after debut their Keyboardist, Junhyeok, left the band so Wonpil took over as Keyboardist since then. Bands in Kpop are hugely underrated, most of the time, they seem to be independent artists but you do see a few pop up from time to time in the "mainstream" Kpop scene and produced by known companies. Not many companies seem to produce bands often since they don't seem to do as well compared to groups. But good news is, they do seem to be gaining some traction in recent years with more an more starting to gain recognition. Day6 is arguable one of the better known K-bands and they have so many great songs.
22:55 you are right, this is Jae, the one who wore glasses before, you were probably a little confused at 22:29 because Jae starts a lot of song but this time it's YoungK/Brian. You said you liked Jae's voice, so you'd probably like his solo stuff he puts out under the name Eaj, paceman, for example. Sungjin is the one with the raspy voice and he's an outstanding vocalist (tbh, Day6 is full go those). Not surprised you've fallen for Wonpil, that's basically all of us. The cute drummer is Dowoon, the maknae (1996) and he does sing sometimes, but he's not really a vocalist (he's training tho). His drum skills are very impressive! Junhyeok was there in congratulations, but left before their first comeback. Happy to see you're discovering day6 more! They usually do write and produce their own music, and have from the beginning, and they don’t have a bad song, they’re all so good, my personal favorite song from them is called Blood, a b-side from their debut mini album, but you really can’t go wrong with any of their songs…they also have a subunit group called Even of Day, and I’m sure you’ll love them since Wonpil is one of the 3 members in it as well

Nice reaction. Sungjin, the leader, guitarist, is one of my favourite vocalist, there’s something about his voice, a bit of raspiness. The second keyboardist in Congratualtions is no longer in the group. FYI the actor in Congratulations played in Parasite; from MV to Oscar winning movie.

Yess DAY6. I've seen them twice 2017 in NY and 2019 in LA. Young K is one of my ults and Dowoon is my 2nd bias. But I must say, Wonpil in real life is such a bias wrecker!!!! 😭😭 He's so soft and such an amazing vocalist it's insane. I can't wait until they're all done with military service miss them so much :c Also: They have a Japanese album (New material) that is just *chef's kiss. It's more rock than pop. I'd die to hear them play any of those songs live 😭

Day6 have some of the best songs I've heard and they do have a hand in writing the lyrics and sometimes the music for their songs. Oooh Sir Austin, you marathon Day6! Key really, really love them! And I am too (proud Shawolday here!). Their songs are reaaaaaallly good. If you enjoy alt/pop rock from early 2000s like Hoobastank or Seether, you would really enjoy their discography. It's. Really. Good. Their Entropy album is my all-time best kpop albums! And yeah, they write the music themselves! YoungK (the rapper you said you like in Congratulations) wrote most of Day6's discography, along with Jae (the guitarist with glasses) and Wonpil! If you're up to more alt rock, I suggest their Japanese tracks. Stop The Rain, If Mata Aetara, and Breaking Down is shoo good.

Zombie is one of the songs that just slapped me in the face when it was release during the height of covid in 2020, if you keep that in mind while you watch it you'll be really blown away. If you want a good listen of Dowoon (the drummer)'s vocals, he sing a part of the song "Wanna go back" which every My Day had to listen on repeat. And honestly, i could listen to that part all day long. It's THAT good.
I don't know if anyone else said that, but Dowoon (the drummer) does sing. At first he didn't, tho. He started taking singing lessons so he could do it and eventually got a few lines. In September he released a duet single called Out Of The Blue with Song Heejin. You should listen to it, it's such a pleasant and cute song and his deep voice goes really well with the female singer's sweet one! I think you'll like it!

Day6 has a top tier discography . They also called as the "No Bad Song Band" and "No Skip Playlist." If you want to feel brokenhearted eventhough you're not, Day6 is so perfect for you. hahaha... And don't be fooled by their uplifting songs because the lyrics of it is the exact opposite. YOUNG K (the rapper in Congratulations) is the lyricist of most of their songs and the quote of "WHO HURT YOUNG K ?" yeah the i need somebody performance is 100% live. I don’t know what is it with them but they always sing better live than in the studio version to the point where they sometimes get extra with the runs and all which is what i love about them lololol. the thing with day6 is that they’re not trained to be singers, but they’re already singers that are formed by the company to be a band. they have their own division in jype which is studio j where they are free to produce their own tracks. one of the members, young k, composes and writes every song from their discography. I recommend you to react to ‘days gone by’, it’s unlike any other retro that’s from kpop.

yess, wonpil has his macbook to change the source when he's playing the synth. junhyeok was the keyboardist of the group, but he left really early. so wonpil took over that role alongside the synth. wonpil said so himself they're all main vocalists !! :D yes! they have great lyrics and their main lyricist is young k but everyone has contributed lyrics a LOT too. they even have credits in other artists' songs. that's why reading the lyrics in day6 songs is a must :) our baby drummer just released his first single !!!! he has a gorgeous lower vocal tone, and he really did his best in trying something new and to provide fans with his own music after being just the drummer (and occasional vocalist) in day6. "it's titled out of the blue" and he has said he has plans to release more music

You'll love Day6 and it's not even an overstatement that they have no bad songs. Like AT ALL. And even non-fans acknowledge that. They write all of their music! It was actually one of the conditions for them to debut, JYP wanted them to debut with their own music since they're a band. Young K is their main lyricist but everyone is involve in composition and writes lyrics too. Oh and Wonpil plays both the keyboard and synthesizers. Day6 has one of the best discographies I’ve ever come across. I highly recommend the Demon album, it has nothing but top tier songs. My two favorites are Zombie and Afraid off that album. You should also check out dance, dance if you like the up beat type of songs “You make me” is amazing and a Japanese song called “stop the rain” are a must watch too!
Dowoon is the drummer and maknae. He has such a deep voice. It would sound so good in their harmonies but he didn’t sing on their earlier songs, he barely does even now but we do get some parts from him sometimes and you can see his tone then. It’s so nice. He’s actually my bias I love him so much. When people react to guides after listening to day6 they’re always shocked to hear his voice because there’s no deep voice like his in their songs and they generally don’t recognise him either so it’s always fun to watch. You should watch a guide to them too. And listen to some of the songs he’s in. They did a performance where they switched parts and he sang one of the parts and someone didn’t sing at all since dowoon doesn’t sing it was so precious to hear him. The song is called I love you so it would be good if you could watch the original song and then that video. It’s not a official video the swapped vocals so you should just click on the top one. Jae is the one with glasses, he’s actually the oldest but doesn’t look like it. At all.

yes Dowoon, the drummer sings, it's just that he's shy and not confident with his singing voice. He's a crucial member in harmonization because of his deep voice, try listening to their I'll Try Live Video and their I loved You instrument switch version. He also recently released his solo song "Out of the Blue". You'll love him as much you love Wonpil

I need somebody is my favorite day6 song actually whenever i feel so down or sad, i go back to this song. It makes me feel that i'm not alone and i'm not the only one feeling this way.
Just a fun fact, Jae (one of the guitarists) is one of the writers of My Love from Kyungsoo's solo album 😌
Day6 is so freaking good! I recommend pretty much every one of their MVs, they do have a lot of them because of the "Every Day 6" project!
And if you want to check more k-bands I'd definitely recommend N.Flying. Their main vocalist (Yoo Hweseung) has some crazy vocals and they have a really nice mix of rock and rap on their songs.
Also Onewe, Lucy and FTIsland are great k-bands

Day6 concerts are the only ones I’ve been too where everyone is dancing and just having the time of their lives and not recording the whole thing. Also their the only group for me who does not have one bad song and their vocals are so Incredible and their voices are so distinct, I love it.
I toally agree. Their voice live is just golden. We went to their Gravity concert in Manila in 2019, it was epic!! Everyone was just having fun and was singing along. ThAt was the last concert I went to before pandemic. I miss them!!

Originally, when they were 6, Junhyuk was the keyboard player, and Wonpil did synths (as in Congratulations). Nowadays, Wonpil does both in combination.
Interestingly, that gravelly kick that Sungjin has in his voice _isn't_ natural. He actually has a much smoother tone, but learned how to add the effect to help give him that rocky edge.

They're an all-female five-piece band, and while they only have one official single yet, their debut Blaze, they do also have several other self-composed demos, and a whole bunch of covers. So Day6 debuted with 6 members, at the time Wonpil's position was Synthesizer/Main Vocal. But not long after debut their Keyboardist, Junhyeok, left the band so Wonpil took over as Keyboardist since then.
Bands in Kpop are hugely underrated, most of the time, they seem to be independent artists but you do see a few pop up from time to time in the "mainstream" Kpop scene and produced by known companies. Not many companies seem to produce bands often since they don't seem to do as well compared to groups. But good news is, they do seem to be gaining some traction in recent years with more an more starting to gain recognition. Day6 is arguable one of the better known K-bands and they have so many great songs.
22:55 you are right, this is Jae, the one who wore glasses before, you were probably a little confused at 22:29 because Jae starts a lot of song but this time it's YoungK/Brian. You said you liked Jae's voice, so you'd probably like his solo stuff he puts out under the name Eaj, paceman, for example. Sungjin is the one with the raspy voice and he's an outstanding vocalist (tbh, Day6 is full go those). Not surprised you've fallen for Wonpil, that's basically all of us. The cute drummer is Dowoon, the maknae (1996) and he does sing sometimes, but he's not really a vocalist (he's training tho). His drum skills are very impressive! Junhyeok was there in congratulations, but left before their first comeback. Happy to see you're discovering day6 more! I need somebody is probably still my fav song by them, but they have A LOT of great songs.
Even though Day6 aren't technically my ult group, I think I listen to their music the most out of all Korean artists. I haven't heard a bad Day6 song ever

I adore Day6, their musicality is no joke, their duality is no joke. From the most beautiful ballads (I'll Try) to fricking hard rock (Rescue Me and their Japanese releases which you'd love) to 80's synth pop and everything in between, they're brilliant. They usually do write and produce their own music, and have from the beginning, and they don’t have a bad song, they’re all so good, my personal favorite song from them is called Blood, a b-side from their debut mini album, but you really can’t go wrong with any of their songs…they also have a subunit group called Even of Day, and I’m sure you’ll love them since Wonpil is one of the 3 members in it as well

Nice reaction. Sungjin, the leader, guitarist, is one of my favourite vocalist, there’s something about his voice, a bit of raspiness. The second keyboardist in Congratualtions is no longer in the group. FYI the actor in Congratulations played in Parasite; from MV to Oscar winning movie.
I love them. Especially Zombie. It’s such a sad and beautiful song. They really have something special 💜
One thing I've noticed with Day6 is that they really do love sad bops lol, they make beautiful music! 💕but damn do they HURT!!!

Yess DAY6. I've seen them twice 2017 in NY and 2019 in LA. Young K is one of my ults and Dowoon is my 2nd bias. But I must say, Wonpil in real life is such a bias wrecker!!!! 😭😭 He's so soft and such an amazing vocalist it's insane. I can't wait until they're all done with military service miss them so much :c
Also: They have a Japanese album (New material) that is just *chef's kiss. It's more rock than pop. I'd die to hear them play any of those songs live 😭

Oooh Sir Austin, you marathon Day6! Key really, really love them! And I am too (proud Shawolday here!). Their songs are reaaaaaallly good. If you enjoy alt/pop rock from early 2000s like Hoobastank or Seether, you would really enjoy their discography. It's. Really. Good. Their Entropy album is my all-time best kpop albums!

Zombie is one of the songs that just slapped me in the face when it was release during the height of covid in 2020, if you keep that in mind while you watch it you'll be really blown away.
I also love and recommend Letting Go, I Like You (Young Ks voice is crazy on this song), Hunt, and I'm Serious
If you want a good listen of Dowoon (the drummer)'s vocals, he sing a part of the song "Wanna go back" which every My Day had to listen on repeat. And honestly, i could listen to that part all day long. It's THAT good.
I don't know if anyone else said that, but Dowoon (the drummer) does sing. At first he didn't, tho. He started taking singing lessons so he could do it and eventually got a few lines. In September he released a duet single called Out Of The Blue with Song Heejin. You should listen to it, it's such a pleasant and cute song and his deep voice goes really well with the female singer's sweet one! I think you'll like it!

if u liked DAY6 music, i higgly recomend that you listen to YoungK's first solo album (the guy who rapped in congratulations, he's really such a great singer). He released it before going to the military this year and it's truly a masterpiece.
Btw they all write their own music since debut till now hehe! day6 are known for their awesome b-sides that has a quality near, same, even more than their title track. We usually play to their whole discography like on each album just to see how versatile their music are..

Day6 has a top tier discography . They also called as the "No Bad Song Band" and "No Skip Playlist." If you want to feel brokenhearted eventhough you're not, Day6 is so perfect for you. hahaha... And don't be fooled by their uplifting songs because the lyrics of it is the exact opposite. YOUNG K (the rapper in Congratulations) is the lyricist of most of their songs and the quote of "WHO HURT YOUNG K ?" Became known because almost of the DAY6 lyrics are heartbreaking and mostly wrote by Young K.

yeah the i need somebody performance is 100% live. I don’t know what is it with them but they always sing better live than in the studio version to the point where they sometimes get extra with the runs and all which is what i love about them lololol. the thing with day6 is that they’re not trained to be singers, but they’re already singers that are formed by the company to be a band. they have their own division in jype which is studio j where they are free to produce their own tracks. one of the members, young k, composes and writes every song from their discography. I recommend you to react to ‘days gone by’, it’s unlike any other retro that’s from kpop.

yess, wonpil has his macbook to change the source when he's playing the synth.
junhyeok was the keyboardist of the group, but he left really early. so wonpil took over that role alongside the synth.

yes! they have great lyrics and their main lyricist is young k but everyone has contributed lyrics a LOT too. they even have credits in other artists' songs. that's why reading the lyrics in day6 songs is a must :)
our baby drummer just released his first single !!!! he has a gorgeous lower vocal tone, and he really did his best in trying something new and to provide fans with his own music after being just the drummer (and occasional vocalist) in day6. "it's titled out of the blue" and he has said he has plans to release more music

Day6 again too?!?!? Dang I literally just woke up but I immediately grabbed my earphones and tapped the notification lol. You'll love Day6 and it's not even an overstatement that they have no bad songs. Like AT ALL. And even non-fans acknowledge that.
They write all of their music! It was actually one of the conditions for them to debut, JYP wanted them to debut with their own music since they're a band. Young K is their main lyricist but everyone is involve in composition and writes lyrics too.
Oh and Wonpil plays both the keyboard and synthesizers. They started as 6 members and Junhyeok originally played the keyboard but he left the group due to some "controversy"(aka dating rumours). He still makes music thou!

Day6 has one of the best discographies I’ve ever come across. I highly recommend the Demon album, it has nothing but top tier songs. My two favorites are Zombie and Afraid off that album.

Dowoon is the drummer and maknae. He has such a deep voice. It would sound so good in their harmonies but he didn’t sing on their earlier songs, he barely does even now but we do get some parts from him sometimes and you can see his tone then. It’s so nice. He’s actually my bias I love him so much. When people react to guides after listening to day6 they’re always shocked to hear his voice because there’s no deep voice like his in their songs and they generally don’t recognise him either so it’s always fun to watch. You should watch a guide to them too. And listen to some of the songs he’s in.
They did a performance where they switched parts and he sang one of the parts and someone didn’t sing at all since dowoon doesn’t sing it was so precious to hear him. The song is called I love you so it would be good if you could watch the original song and then that video. It’s not a official video the swapped vocals so you should just click on the top one.
