The Philips GC9650/80 steam generator stops generating steam, but when it is unplugged and left for 20 minutes, it works normally again, although the pump may be a bit loud. What could be the cause?

but still it doesn't prove that the pump is ok, sometimes the pump works but cant transfer water into the boiler, hows the temperature of iron and any red light signal?
