Fast - To abstain from all or some kinds of food and drink
Dry/ absolute fast - No food or drink
Partial - Some food or drink
I do a 72 hour partial fast every quarter. I go 72 hours abstaining from food only. I drink water. This is commonly referred to as the Esther fast or 3 day water fast.
At the end of the day, how you incorporate prayer and fasting into your life is between you and God. I encourage you to read your bible and what scripture says about prayer and fasting. Please read the book of Esther if you are wanting to do a 72 hour fast.

Hello! I absolutely love that you are encouraged to pray and fast. While I understand the conflict between doing a spiritual fast and being an adolescent, this is ultimately something you would have to talk to your parents about! I would allow my son to do a 72 hour fast because we are Christians, but if your parents are not that can also create conflict. Ultimately, your sacrifice and obedience is between you and God so let the Holy Spirit guide you as well. What is God telling you to do?

What if I run a dropshipping business where I work on my computer, is it okay if I can still work on my business while doing a 3 day praying and fasting ?
Great question!
I would ask God and go with how your spirit leads you. When I was in corporate environment I never called off work, I continued to do my job as normal. However, since doing social media full time I was led to stay off the internet in all ways during my fast. (If I am doing a corporate fast I will only go on live for the purpose of the corporate fast )
