My children went to public elementary schools but then private. Public schools are politically attached, afraid to discipline; don’t adhere to dress codes, they also censor books, morality, and don’t allow teachers to teach their individual talent of inspiring kids to learn. Private schools focus on behavior and character, manners and decorum. You don’t see students making out, hear them cussing or disrespecting teachers or dressing offensively. Parents expect more from private schools and teachers expect parent involvement and discipline to back up teachers. When private schools go on field trips they are treated to more privileges because they behave better. Private schools can pray say the pledge of allegiance teach morals and Bible studies.

I live in Australia, but a brit, they do the same here. Government run schools are called 'public' schools. Probably will never get used to it.

Irrelevant. Private schools are still better. Too much garbage taught in public schools. My husband has taught in both.

Just because someone is certified, that doesn't mean they are good at what they are doing.
Teaching is about passion; not every certified teacher has the passion.

Do you feel you will be better educated there? My kids attended Christian schools as well. The rules are stricter but the faculty control the school. Worth every penny just to avoid the expected bad behavior of students.
