Thank you for this video. I've been playing the game for years and recently bought the DLCs. This was so helpful after suffering through both new content lol
I recently got into this game. It was interesting looking at a high completion account and seeing the kinds of things you are doing. I think you went a bit overboard with the mods, but like you said it is all personal preference. Thank you for the video.
For archeology it tells you (in the video you had to give 8 more items to the museum for your next gift) also pro tip turn on toggle cat. But great video man
Hey, thanks for chiming in. Thing is i know when the next gift is coming. But i don't know what it is! So, i guess it's a mystery until revealed (or modded) xD
I bought the game with all dlc a month ago, cartography and archeology is fine but i feel like its a late game thing with all the money and inventory spaces you need
I think Atlas of Discovery is still a great addition to the early-mid game. It gives plenty of free bank slots and items to sell for gold. Throne of the Herald however, is indeed quite late game. But my advise for any game would always be: Finish the base game first. Then if you enjoyed it, support the game by buying new content. Also better to get 1 DLC at a time to properly digest the contents. But it might still be a unique experience having all at once. Haha.
@@CaptainRuban finished 120 arch and all hexes on cart, i was on the god dungeons when i finished arch so i might be biased. they created a new store which you can get important atlas upgrades. so i think that makes cart and arch not good enough early game with the amount of effort it takes, since youre incentivized to donate instead of selling and if you cant sell, you wont be able to get enough gold to travel on cart. i think its suited to player skill 60+ or when you have like 20% town interest
I figured out the pokemon clues for the Missing No however, it hasn't seemed to trigger. Do the stacks need to just be one? I tried their own tab, then moved it to the first one, only leaving them in it. Been trying to figure it out lol
Basically I would be very interested in using one or the other mod (for example infinite offline mod), but I am unsure whether the use of mods in Melvor Idle in any way disables the Steam achievements. Especially the Pokeworld mod with its passive values and the multitasking mod already feel like cheating. That's why I'm not sure whether mods have an influence on achievements. Does anyone know anything about this?
hey, from what i read on reddit, it should not affect your character. you can try creating one character with mods and see if it triggers some unique achievement to confirm before starting a new un-modded character just in case.
So basically cheat. The mods you are running completely change the game and make it easier. They are not just UI improvements but huge buffs to your resource gathering. How can this be a guide for new players?
Because it's a part of the game. In case you are new to video games, some can have features like Mods or a Sandbox mode or spawn/difficulty rate modifiers or even Aim-assist. We can't simply say console players can't make guides because of aim-assist in their FPS games. And also there are games with stuff like Honor Mode or Permadeath as options to those who want more of a challenge. These are all options. Pick yours and have fun gaming.
These mods are a part of the game. So I'm covering them. I believe people are able to decide for themselves if they want to play a game with add-ons approved and provided by the game itself. Lol.
This is really underrated. All the guides I could find were from 3-4 years ago, and this updated one really helped me. thanks
TYSM for your time and all the info you added to the video. im new to this game and its been a great time so far.
It's the best feeling to know the guide you make actually helps. Thanks! xD
No, Thank you!@@CaptainRuban

Good guide but a little confusing at the start u kept calling cartography and archeology new 'game modes'. They are just new skills

try sorting the stacks in numerical order in a single tab? i can't remember exactly since it's been a while.

7 videos watched, finally see a map screen, was thinking this was all text
To be fair, until Cartography showed up, it is mostly just text and images.
I hate that I purchased the game after this video. I bought an idle game...what is wrong with me.
Give it a try. Justify the insanity.

You want to teach new players how to play game but uses cheat mods to change how the game should be played. nice... not...
