My summer vacations are over, which means it's time to get back to work. I'm rather behind on a few recent PLEs but I'll do what I can to get back on track. But at the same time, I have some other video ideas in progress that I'm excited to share with y'all. Hope your summer was enjoyable!
The Drew Mcintyre cycle: 1) Attack CM Punk 2) Forget about CM Punk 3) Challenge for the World Heavyweight Title 4) Get screwed by CM Punk 5) Assault a GM 6) Repeat
@@stevenjoseph6048 True I would have been fine with either winning it maybe they have bigger plans for Jey Uso I don't see either of them losing their tittles until mania and that ain't even a guarantee
In all fairness, CM Punk did promise to make Drew Mcintyre's life hell. He let Drew get as close as possible to the World title twice only to take it away at the last possible second. In my opinion, even though they did sacrifice the Money Inthe Bank briefcase, it made for even greater storytelling
Drew's failed cash-in furthered the storyline feud and Tiffy's cash-in plans are a bit wonky, so from a distance, I can see how the briefcases didn't really matter this time. Great video though!
@@cody1390 Yeah, in the same year sadly. On June 25, 2024, Sika passed away at the age of 79, and then, on August 16, 2024, Afa passed away at the age of 81.
This video was posted on the 1 year anniversary of edges final match in wwe which just so happened to be in Toronto a show I attended which made up for me not going to money in the bank last month
A bit of a extreme reaction for the cash in moment was it predictable? Yes but did it make sense? Yes it advanced the hottest Raw fued and also given how packed the main event scene is on Raw and SmackDown , there probably isnt room for a new main eventer so they obviously got the breifcase cashin out the way and done it in a impactful way
I could be wrong but, the way that Damian hit that ‘Rose Plant’ was more reminiscent of the original Dirty Deeds that Moxley used to use in the S.H.I.E.L.D days.
I think the difference is they are using house shows, and tag matches for solo while jinder was just straight losing on television over and over and over again. Plus every gimmick jinder had was weak while solo has a strong presentation
To be fair with Drew winning the money in the bank and then Cm punk costing Drew the title match again was not only a bigger nutshot to Drew but also came with serious collateral when he ended also costing Seth the match too, causing the those two to start beef.
Zoey and IYO's ladder spot ,Chelsea's table landing and Tiffany's win are the only things i remember from this event. Best womens mitb match in my opinion
I enjoyed your video Christian 😊 and I agree they totally wasted the Money in the Bank by giving it to Drew they should gave it to somebody else quite honestly.
That wasn't even a rose plant that was a dirty deeds. You could of said "CopyJonhMoxleyfringement or CopyDeanAmbosingfringement" because that was definitely a shield member's move lol
This is basically 2014 again. People were pushing for Daniel Bryan and WWE ignore him and put on focus on guy that has been gone for 4 years, Batista. Same thing here. Everyone wanted Jey Uso to win and everyone was going in Yeet mode. What do they do, they ignore him and put on focus on a guy that had won the World title 3 times, Drew. WWE isn't in touch with what fans want.
You should've done the gag you did at backlash with AJ being called the phenomenal, and call damien priest drew after Michaels botch, and then later call drew Damien priest to create a full circle moment.
Speaking of green shirt guy, he is in the exact same spot every single time we see him. What does that man do for a living to consistently get the front row at these events?
I was at the Summerslam in Cleveland because I got a call from my aunt saying my cousin was sick I enjoyed every minute of it even though it was a big awkward sit I was with my cousins 5 friends I ended up losing my voice for 2 nearly 3 days
Men's MITB definitely wasted by having Drew win and cash in the same night he won to have Punk cost him during an already great feud and we have to wait until next year's event for another MITB holder 😒
Not when this is exactly how they fold Seth back into his feud with Punk. It would've been a waste IF it was *just* Punk screwing Drew again but Punk screwed both Drew and Seth. Giving Seth the motivation to get involved. Plus, Cody and Gunther are now champions. MITB ends up being a waste cause they can't cash it in on the world titles (unless they went a similar route to Theory's cash in and cash it in on a mid card title). So, either way, in hindsight, Drew winning and failing to cash in on the Damien-Seth match was the RIGHT decision. This is also why the ref botch happened cause the finish of the match NEEDED Priest to retain.
I wanted to go but my mom had to work and because I moved in April it was pretty expensive so we couldn’t afford it and while nxt heatwave was a good show it honestly would’ve been disingenuous for me to go since I didn’t know who half the dudes were outside of trick Williams and Shawn spears. Oh well at least I attended Nxt takeover Toronto in 2019 and 1 year ago today I saw edges last match in wwe before he broke his legs seeing edges last match made up for me not going to this show but with them doing more international shows as opposed to American shows hopefully they’ll bring a ppv to either Toronto or Ottawa (since Ottawa hasn’t hosted a ppv yet they’ve hosted raw and smackdown but not a ppv) Edit: I hate typing on a keyboard
I feel like John Cena's retirement announcement killed any chance of this being a great PLE. Because literally NOBODY in their right mind wants or is going to attempt to upstage John Cena! And if they try to, nobody is going to pay attention or care due to Cena being on their mind.
I appreciate the videos and I agree with alot of them, in fact I've been binge watching them but I gotta ask, why do you say so much is a botch, like some of them are but when people aren't close enough, they aren't close enough , not a botch
3:29 I don't know why people are saying that when it is really Drew Mcintyre 6th Money in the Bank ladder match apparance. Heres the list. Wrestlemania 26, 2010 Smackdown Money in the Bank, 2019, 2021, 2022, and now 2024.
17:38 While I do believe that this did absolutely nothing to progress the story, I'm gonna have to disagree with you on the Money In The Bank thing. Clearly Cody Rhodes and Gunther are being planned to hold the belt up until Next Year's WrestleMania and probably beyond even that. WWE doesn't seem to have a Jey Uso World Title Reign on their radar at the current moment.
I agree with you *except* for how it did nothing to progress the story. It actually did progress the story cause Punk inadvertently screwed Seth as well as Drew. Seth got folded back into his feud with Punk by giving him the motivation to get involved with Punk and Drew's feud.
They could've done something where after mania one of the two can cash in and steal the belt from someone or cash in on mid card belt or the nxt title. Chad would've been best for winning imo. Could've cashed on sami or waited till after mania to steal the world title
@@SteveM7Nexus I don't know why it didn't send my first response to you but regardless... Fine. It added Seth Rollins to the mix. That doesn't change the fact that it did absolutely nothing for Drew McIntyre in this and made him look weak and idiotic. Not to mention the fact that Clash At The Castle was literally POINTLESS for the whole story.
Money in the Bank was in Canada this year and WWE made a great decision in holding the event at Scotiabank Arena, which is located on Bay Street in Toronto, the centre of finance in Canada. I just don’t understand why you used a background of American money bills instead of a background of Canadian money bills for this sins video given the event’s location.
It would've been considered SO much more of a waste to not have the cash in on the world titles (Cody and Gunther). In hindsight, Drew winning and losing his cash in was the RIGHT decision (Seth now has motivation to continue his Punk feud when he's ready cause of it).
Drew was the wrong guy to win but then again anyone besides Jet uso would have been correct thus jey should have not been in the match to begin with, they need to Yeet him from the company already.
I will like to thank Drew McIntyre's MITB win for making me feel a combination of distress and dread I've never felt in my life (true story). God what a bad PPV but at least the Women's match was cool
Yet, it would've been so much more of a waste to not cash in on a world title (Cody and Gunther ain't losing till at the very earliest Mania season). At the very least with Drew's failed cash in, it gave Seth the motive to get involved with the Drew-Punk feud (which furthers his feud with Punk (his originally planned Mania 40 feud)). I'm more *sick* of folk constantly whining that it's a waste for no bloody reason (it's not a waste when it actually PROGRESSES THE STORY). Any way you slice it, youse would be whining about it either way. Whether it's constant failed attempts at a cash in (like what happened with Priest), a failed cash in that progresses the story (like with Drew), a non-world title cash in (like with Theory), or just the holder not cashing it in for several months at least cause it's too early for the world champion to lose the belt (which would've happened if anyone other than Drew won the MITB). At this point, they should just get rid of it for a bit cause the only option that youse don't consider a "waste" goes against their long term plans for their current world title holders (Cody and Gunther).
My summer vacations are over, which means it's time to get back to work. I'm rather behind on a few recent PLEs but I'll do what I can to get back on track. But at the same time, I have some other video ideas in progress that I'm excited to share with y'all. Hope your summer was enjoyable!

The Drew Mcintyre cycle:
1) Attack CM Punk

The fact that Jey Uso hadn't won a single PPV main event is criminal.
Because he really isn't a main event guy
You mean a one on one PPV main event win? Cause he did win the Bloodline Civil War last year's MITB in the main event.
He should have won money in the bank but instead they gave it to drew mcintyre who did nothing with it
