Hi I’m looking to get a hoop in my room. Do you have any info I would need like how much room I need, what I need to put it up, how to put it up and stuff like that? It will help a lot thanks! Btw you are really good
Hi, thank you! Yes I wrote this blog post about thing you need when you buy a hoop www.uniqueaerialists.com/getting-aerial-hoop/ and the "shop" page on my website has links to all the equipment you should need :)
great video - please put safety mat/crash mat down in next video though or just don't show the floor.....dread to think how many would try this at home without thinking about safety after seeing it
aayy11300 My thoughts exactly. If you don’t have any safety standards in Aerial work, you do not belong on you tube. A person should be setting a good example
Thank you! You're completely right! In the description box of every youtube video like this, on every tutorial on my academy site, in blog posts talking about safety and whenever anyone asks me about setting up a hoop, I talk about safety and advise to use a mat. I ALWAYS teach and ALWAYS train with a mat. I sometimes don't use a mat in these videos if for example the hoop is fairly close to the floor. (I know you can get injured close to the floor, I would never train without a mat regardless of height but I'm experienced enough to know what I can film without needing to use a mat and be safe.) To be honest, I kind of assume that if someone is training hoop without an instructor then they have spent time researching what they need/how to be safe etc or at least will just read the description box of the video they're trying to copy from. If someone is attempting to learn aerial and hasn't researched what they need to be safe then they should not be doing aerial alone. But I do take your point that there will be people who will blindly copy, I'm not able to change videos already on here or ones scheduled but in future videos I film I will use a mat where I can :) thank you for bringing it up in a kind way!
Thanks! I was looking for this for my routine!
I hope it helps!
I love the angel and mermaid 😩😩😩 I can’t wait till I learn
Thanks! That's cool🔥

Unique Aerialists
I read about taping a hoop on your website. Aerial Essentials makes a bar tape that does not get sticky. I swear by it.

@@UniqueAerialists yes and I go tomorrow!!
I got my climb on the silks and did some tricks and I did lots of things on the hoop its so fun
Is a Lyra a special type of hoop or just a normal hoop?
Lyra and aerial hoop are different names for the same thing :)
Please do a trapeze video!
I've never done trapeze before :) I'd love to try though!
Is it possible to go into a back balance from a front balance in an elegant way? ;D
Yes you can roll over, I haven't perfected that yet!
What is the size of the ring ?
This hoop is 90cm :)

let’s just let natural selection take its course
На чисто русском можно изъясняться???Как можно так????😟😟😟
Show off
At least pretend there is a mat or don’t video the floor.
are you able to show a clean transition from front balance to elbow hang if possible? i figured it out kinda but it’s sloppy looking lol
