Much like the wrestling business in the mainstream, the media is trying to figure out how it fits into industry. Every form of entertainment has "fan bloggers" and people covering it as a journalist. I think you guys are helping usher in more journalism and hopefully we get more of it

No one in wrestling journalism has built a big enough platform.
"The industry leader" Dave Meltzer has been in the game long enough to become the villain. (just check the dislikes on HIS videos on YT)
SRS is too much of a smug wrestler buddy. That flips on people when it becomes covienvent.
Brandon Thurston disables comments on his videos. what kind of message does that send?
Everyone is more concerned with making themselves appear to be credible but crumbles for wrestling SWAG
The other problem is in order to build credibility to you need to make sure wrestling fans know you're a REAL fan as a child which them kind of sets you up to fail.
People putting their logos in the beginning of their videos...how about start with value instead.
People go independant and put up their value on Patreon which does nothing to build their own platform.
AEW media scrums are the biggest jokes where multiples of Conrad producers attend. "Hi this is dominic Dangelo "kliq this podcasts", "Matt Hardy's Question Asker, ...Where are they reporting their interviews to?
WrestleJOY? That YouTUbe channel is EMBARRASSING!
The biggest in wrestling media is WRESTLeLAMIA as wild as that is.

the world has become incredibly fragmented. Think about how twenty years ago everyone watched like the same shows on TV like Friends or way back like "Happy Days"...now with so many options its all about finding your tribe and using them to re-enforce your beliefs. Feelings over Truth is todays society.

its kind of ironic how Stephanie chase is questioning these pop-up pandemic wrestling media journalist when she started her RUclips channel in April of 2020. lol. Thought that was kinda funny.

Wrestling is not special in terms of tribalism. Every person in entertainment is 50% hated as to keep your popularity you need to be polarizing. There are no universally loved people or thoughts. I just wish wrestling had an Ariel Helwani. What makes me really sad is seeing that AEW DON2024 press conference and how Rene demanded the media clap for the arrival of the young bucks or how when they offered a free pair of shoes people went running for them in that scrum. Its horrible.
