My feelings were hurt when I got home with two CRN Almond Jai butter half full from a target to far away from home. I check all products to make sure they smell good and weren't open. But I never bring home the open one. I keep in mind if it's opened and I don't use it right away my 12 month count down has already started.
I’m not a fan of how all of the Carol’s Daughter products I’ve ever tried smelled. They all had really strong floral scents. So it’s nice to know they have a product with a different scent as well

I've been using it with wetline gel, because I don't trust it to hold up alone. With the wetline, I can go 5+ days without refreshing or restyling. But maybe I'll try it by itself next time! I've never used a product that left my hair feeling so moisturized for so long! Definitely a great winter styler 👍🏼

Beautiful results. I like to buy thick and heavy products because I can apply minimal product on soaking wet hair and stretch my jars, aka save money. I even like to use deep conditioners as leave ins because I have to buy a deep conditioner anyways and I use 1/4 to 1/2 the amount compared to my go-to leave ins

Vanessa Bristow The butter is very thick. We recommend textures 3b on up to be specific. But of course anyone is welcome to try it if they think their hair can handle this thick butter styler. Our hair loved it, but our hair is 3b. 🤓🦁💕
I must have used too much because my (dried) hair feels heavy and tacky and I'm not liking it at all. I used water only to try to get some of it out of my bangs but I think I need some sort of soap to break it down. I would say I have 3B hair.

Heavy creams and butters work GREAT on my hair if it's something I'm rinsing out before styling. Everyone raved about the SM Curl Enhancing Soufflee so I tried it and it felt awful and tacky in my hair. I thought I was doing something wrong! i wish i could do a one and done with my hair but i still cant even achieve a good wash and go 😩😩, i wont give up though. i think its because my hair has no shape but i refuse to cut my hair again, i seem to keep snipping it off. are there any tips on how to make your hair look like it has a shape?
dee c Other than a professional cut, not really. But, I definitely would stop snipping it on my own, Dee😂 you snip a little here, then a little there then you have to even this and then that 😂 I wouldn’t put a pair of scissors to my hair. Now, with all my lecturing 😂 I sometimes “cheat” the look of a shaped cut by using a pomade or a thick styling paste and strategically place longer pieces where I want and scrunch into place. The thick paste holds the shape. You can take some paste and a piece of hair and and tuck that piece where you want it. Try it and tell me how it works out for you. 🤓-LoriAnne

Hey curlfriends! Does this have isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol in it? I’ve noticed that some of their conditioners have it in there. Sometimes I don’t mind sulfates and silicones, but with carols daughter I bought the rhassoul clay shampoo which claimed to be sulfate free & wasn’t ( and it wasn’t the lathering sulfate either) and conditioner had the isopropyl alcohol which would explain why my hair would dry out so quickly.
Kaynificent To the best of our very limited knowledge about ingredients we read that this product has isopropyl myristate which is the Esther of isopropyl alcohol. Whatever that means. I googled it. That is my limited knowledge. But google has plenty of information on this ingredient. If I were you and your concerned about this ingredient and it’s effects on your hair I would research it a little more. Thank you for your comment and watching us 🤓🦁💕➰

Sending love from Atlanta. I love the way Carol's Daughter smell, but since Loreal bought the company the products doesn't work for me anymore. I use to use the Black Vanilla line. It ended up causing my hair to feel Brillo pad dry and hard. Loreal, sent me a refund. I don't have curly hair like you ladies, but I enjoy your videos. My texture is dry and course. I wonder since Loreal, bought the company if they changed the ingredients . I noticed after Loreal bought the company I saw more women that look like you two in commercials. You two are dolls. You make me want to keep searching for something for my hair. Hugs~
It's My Life Wow! Good info to know. We didn’t know L’Oréal bought the company. L’Oréal got bank they buying up all these companies, smh😂 I wasn’t all that big of a fan of CD so I don’t know if formulas changed or not. I used the Black Vanilla years ago when I first went natural and I wasn’t a fan of the smell. I returned when CD came out with the Manoi line....left again😂 wasn’t a fan. Came back recently for the Pracaxi line LOVED ❤️❤️❤️ that then started buying her masks, love those! Now of course I am a fan of this product. As with all things it’s trial and error. Carol's daughter has some products that smell good initially but then your left with this sought of oily chemical smell. I can't stand it. I bought that Clay wash you mentioned. That was me trying to give them another go. My curls felt to soft, I guess the same if you over conditioned. Every curl was so limp. I reached to aphogee to get my curls back to life. I pass it on to my son. However, the ingredients were irritating to his skin. So I guess I just not wowed by anything by Carol's Daughter. I do take your word on this one. New owners = they could have got this one right. In the past I use to always say anyone who likes Carol's Daughter couldn't possibly know about Camille Rose. I stand corrected. Vanessa Bristow The butter is very thick. We recommend textures 3b on up to be specific. But of course anyone is welcome to try it if they think their hair can handle this thick butter styler. Our hair loved it, but our hair is 3b. 🤓🦁💕

I must have used too much because my (dried) hair feels heavy and tacky and I'm not liking it at all. I used water only to try to get some of it out of my bangs but I think I need some sort of soap to break it down. I would say I have 3B hair.

Heavy creams and butters work GREAT on my hair if it's something I'm rinsing out before styling. Everyone raved about the SM Curl Enhancing Soufflee so I tried it and it felt awful and tacky in my hair. I thought I was doing something wrong! So I'm glad you said these texture of products are not for all hair types Duh!! but I needed that reinforcement Lol Great video as always ladies but short! i wish i could do a one and done with my hair but i still cant even achieve a good wash and go 😩😩, i wont give up though. i think its because my hair has no shape but i refuse to cut my hair again, i seem to keep snipping it off. are there any tips on how to make your hair look like it has a shape?
dee c Other than a professional cut, not really. But, I definitely would stop snipping it on my own, Dee😂 you snip a little here, then a little there then you have to even this and then that 😂 I wouldn’t put a pair of scissors to my hair. Now, with all my lecturing 😂 I sometimes “cheat” the look of a shaped cut by using a pomade or a thick styling paste and strategically place longer pieces where I want and scrunch into place. The thick paste holds the shape. You can take some paste and a piece of hair and and tuck that piece where you want it. Try it and tell me how it works out for you. 🤓-LoriAnne

Hey curlfriends! Does this have isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol in it? I’ve noticed that some of their conditioners have it in there. Sometimes I don’t mind sulfates and silicones, but with carols daughter I bought the rhassoul clay shampoo which claimed to be sulfate free & wasn’t ( and it wasn’t the lathering sulfate either) and conditioner had the isopropyl alcohol which would explain why my hair would dry out so quickly.
Kaynificent To the best of our very limited knowledge about ingredients we read that this product has isopropyl myristate which is the Esther of isopropyl alcohol. Whatever that means. I googled it. That is my limited knowledge. But google has plenty of information on this ingredient. If I were you and your concerned about this ingredient and it’s effects on your hair I would research it a little more. Thank you for your comment and watching us 🤓🦁💕➰

Sending love from Atlanta. I love the way Carol's Daughter smell, but since Loreal bought the company the products doesn't work for me anymore. I use to use the Black Vanilla line. It ended up causing my hair to feel Brillo pad dry and hard. Loreal, sent me a refund. I don't have curly hair like you ladies, but I enjoy your videos. My texture is dry and course. I wonder since Loreal, bought the company if they changed the ingredients . I noticed after Loreal bought the company I saw more women that look like you two in commercials. You two are dolls. You make me want to keep searching for something for my hair. Hugs~
It's My Life Wow! Good info to know. We didn’t know L’Oréal bought the company. L’Oréal got bank they buying up all these companies, smh😂 I wasn’t all that big of a fan of CD so I don’t know if formulas changed or not. I used the Black Vanilla years ago when I first went natural and I wasn’t a fan of the smell. I returned when CD came out with the Manoi line....left again😂 wasn’t a fan. Came back recently for the Pracaxi line LOVED ❤️❤️❤️ that then started buying her masks, love those! Now of course I am a fan of this product. As with all things it’s trial and error. LoriAnne, I'm LOL. I'm right there with you, I must smell all products before I make my purchase. I need that delicious cake batter, and cookies smell. Carol's daughter has some products that smell good initially but then your left with this sought of oily chemical smell. I can't stand it. I bought that Clay wash you mentioned. That was me trying to give them another go. My curls felt to soft, I guess the same if you over conditioned. Every curl was so limp. I reached to aphogee to get my curls back to life. I pass it on to my son. However, the ingredients were irritating to his skin. So I guess I just not wowed by anything by Carol's Daughter. I do take your word on this one. New owners = they could have got this one right. In the past I use to always say anyone who likes Carol's Daughter couldn't possibly know about Camille Rose. I stand corrected.
