    I don't know if the commentary was AI generated but some of it grates. Of course early MK1 Lotus Cortinas had coil spring rear suspension with an A frame. Plus many areas of weight saving which were not mentioned at all.

    Also, from the video description: "...and equipping it with Henry Ford's twin camshafts..." It wasn't Henry Ford's camsafts. Henry Ford had been dead for 15 years when the Lotus Twin Cam was designed. The whole twin cam head was, of course, Lotus' design.

      ​ When Harry Mundy agreed to design the twin cam Lotus engine, he was offered either £1000 or £1 per engine built. He took the £1k up front. They built something like 26k engines....

    Interesting presentation. If you had 105hp you were good for racing in those fine days. If you have 105 hp today you are not very good for normal roads. As for the super cars, no one could imagine where their horsepower and speed would reach. We got away, I'd say.

      The race version had about 140bhp to begin with..later on..with TECALMET JACKSON mechanical fuel injection that rose to around 170+bhp...
