I've been playing for almost 2,5 years, and even with a fulltime job I don't get tired of Arknights. Even when I've tried to find a new game in the genre, they all feel weak at best.
I also feel the same way in genshin. Friends introduced me to it but now I'm the only one still playing. Sometimes they ask how I'm still able to play without feeling bored/burnt out, and to that I say I don't see it as a chore, moreso something to look forward to everyday because whatever I'm doing irl is probably not as fun
Fr, it's hard to find a game worth playing for so long. I've been playing arknights for almost 4 years now, and besides bloons TD, I don't find any other game worth that much time.
I've had 3 burnouts, and every time I leave, I end up coming back because I don't wanna miss a cool event. The music, animations, and the community are what truly make me love arknights, I hope you all enjoy your time playing this game and remember that bringing a 6* team to a lvl 20 map and still losing is the only way to play arknights.
Even after going on hiatus from Arknights (and an unsuccessful attempt to get into Reverse:1999), i believe i just can't stop myself from enjoying the games' content and its derivatives. I haven't even been reading the story for last year or so, but just checking the story summaries and hearing about it from other players i can't help but respect Hypergryph for not letting us get the Kal'tsit maid dress skin its been 4 years please
I've started playing Arknights very recently, but am already approaching one year and my interest is still as strong! I've taken a couple breaks sure, but this is the absolute record of me regularly playing one game without getting tired of it which is honestly amazing. Usually games don't even last a month for me.
I often login once, clear dailies and make time for story when there is a new one. It's the story that keeps me engaged and looking forward to more.... ....and then CC happens alongside event re-runs which results in an extremely dry month for a story enjoyer 💀
I'm in the "I love this game too much to give it up" camp, despite it's difficulty and tedium sometimes. The characters, gameplay, story, art, music, etc. is just too good to breakaway from. Not to mention that it's either this game, or Genshin for me, and trust me, the burnout from that game is way worse than Arknights, at least for me
I've been playing Arknights for 11 months already and I just love the game so far. The world building of this game is phenomenal and it's my favorite aspect of it. Most pieces of media these days try to have some kind of big space/multiverse crap and most of them just fail to deliver because they sell you the idea of being big and vast, but turns out, they are just empty, totally simple, not well explored or showed to the player. Arknights was totally different from other games for me, the world in this game is ACTUALLY rich and vast. You have different cultures, character designs, scenario designs, characters/groups/organizations motivations/purposes. Everything is so well detailed, connected, explored and naturally made and doesn't feel like some kind of "nerdy" world building, ya know? It's just incredible, man... The art is also fucking good too. Most part of the time the art is grey and gives you a calm/peaceful sensation. Some other times, tries to be a little more radiant and colorful, but without being something like "MODerN GaMiNG" filled with neon and strong colors like pink and turquoise everyFUCKINGwhere. Believe it or not, one of the reasons why I actually stayed in Arknights was because of the UI. The minimalist style mixed with all that white color + that little futuristic feeling it's awesome. Maybe only Punishing Gray Raven can match that style kkkk. The gameplay is also unique too, at first I thought this game was going to be a Plants vs Zombies mixed with Fire Emblem, but nooooope, Arknights has its own stuff and it's nice 👍! Anyway, not everything is perfect, right? The idea of having two 6 stars in just one banner sucks, and the 300 pulls "pity"(Now 150) also sucks + the store packs and micro transactions are way too expensive 😔 Anyway, overall I'll stay in this game for a loooong time to come, it's been fun and it's entertaining me, that's all that matters. Honestly as much as I want to try understanding how much of a "loss" Box2 and Yii's departure from AK content creation I feel like I've seen more new people doing content creation related to AK... Like some streamers(Georgie), or some music related channels(8bitdrummer, catharsis and marcomeatball)... Heck even the animation peeps are getting officially showcased now.

This and your PGR video are the first videos ive watched of your channel and I really enjoyed them. Funny how the algorithm works, I played arknights on release for a few months but quit for reasons i dont remember. I came back recently and have fallen completely in love w the game and am happy to see the community still alive and content creators like you dping their thing. Now I just need to get back into pgr lol
I'm entering my 3rd year in Arknights, and I'm grateful that I'm reaching this point because this is where everything i feel at best. With the increasing popularity of AFK strats, i can always afk farm the event while doing work on my laptop. And I'm a lore-enthusiastic person so i always read XD i must admit Arknights lore has the depth and i just love it. It is basically good and free reading material than ordinary novels out there which doesn't offer the same depth as AK story. I'm not denying that at some point i did experienced burnout too, but thank god it mostly happened on rerun events so I'm always ready when new events and new lore drops.
Me too, but what got me out of the slump was actually getting into the story. 😂😂 ive been playing since launch and this month is the first time im actually reading the story.
I refuse to believe Arknights is almost for years old. I finished my bachelor's degree since I've started 😂. Sometimes I do feel a slight burn out and to remedy that, I just do one thing only when I log in

ive had 3 burnouts but for each burnout i still keep up with the news and love the characters. even when my ability to play diminishes for a bit, my love for the game never does. i love arknights and i don't see myself leaving for years to come despite almost a year of cumilitive burnout time ive had :)

I tried to read lonetrail but I didn’t care about most of the characters so I went to continue reading chapter 10 instead. Best decision of my life, I finally reached the part where W shows up and I regained motivation to play this game. Idk I just can’t find myself caring about most characters because I barely know anything about them. Arknights has too many characters these days and dividing a little screen time to everyone doesn’t work. For me, I love W because she’s been around since the very beginning, showing up in chapter 1, 3, 4, 8 and 10. Her event, Darknights Memoir, was also the first event I experienced and it was fun trying to beat it as a newbie. I got her in 20 pulls on her banner so I also don’t have a bitter memory of gacha like I do with 80% of the characters I own(my gacha luck dipped into earth’s core soon after getting W). W even got a cheap 15/18(I forgot) OP skin that increased in value after getting L2D, new voice lines, etc. She then proceeds to become the main character during Ambience Synthesia as is I wasn’t eat good enough already. The only bad thing about being a W fan is seeing HG make the biggest financial blunder in Arknights history by not making W’s Ambience Synthesia outfit a skin in-game. TLDR: I invested in W stocks and it was worth it every time.

I've played PGR my fav since 1 day and I'm now on my 4 month break of this game after 2 years. I got used to try out new games and each time there's a little break and burnouts, sometimes I missed the times that I got excited to play new content on PGR, but I can't and won't return after my burnouts, it's better to end your journey rather than lose enjoyment completely and I think I closed a chapter of my former game.
I've had burnouts (mainly just not wanting to read Lingering Echos, Ideal City or Il Sircusano,, not actually step away), sluggish periods (Lone Trail, getting Mumu at the end of 14 days causing me stress the whole time) or moments of doubt (Twilight of Wolumonde, back when Tectone just left the AK community), but I still stick with this game hard each day, and I have since just past the pre-reg reward/Grani event periods; just a touch late to the party, but four years strong! I try to play anything else, but there's so much good about AK that's hard to beat compared to every other mobile game or gacha. It's been my hyperfixation since that February I joined, and I'm enjoying watching the landscape of Terra bloom. It's a dangerous-yet-wonderful beast of a world we sail across, and I can't bear to part with it. Endfield will certainly be filling a spot alongside Arknights itself, and I'm praying for a tabletop-RPG (think Dungeons & Dragons) system at some point.
I've had my burn out one year ago when i hit rock bottom of my life. But i eventually comeback cuz there is no other gacha games as good as arknight. Now i find myself enjoying it more. So if you have burn out its okay, take your time.

Been playing Arknights since launch, and I log in and play every single day, the only game I can say that for. Still excited for the game and to see where it’s going. That said, I can def understand why some get burnout. I’ve been purposefully slow in a lot of areas so I always have something to do, with resources hoarded so I can develop ops as I feel inspired to, instead of going balls to the wall and maxing everything up front. I play a lot when I feel like it, and burn just the excess sanity if I need a break (usually between events).
BRUH. What is this sudden burnout epidemic in the AK community? Base management literally takes 2-3 minutes. Same with recruitment. If you're tired of doing that - it's not the game's fault. Yii leaving the AK community is not even that big of a deal. His videos did have good editing, and his narration was pretty good, but the information he provided in his videos wasn't that valuable tbf. All he did was literally read skill descriptions and say "you can us it in cc or whatever moving on". And Box2 should never have evem gotten the attention of the community. He was just a clown shitposter, and his departure really didn't do anything bad for the community. Stop spreading this panic. Just because Yii left doesn't mean that the game or the community is dying.
2-3 minutes. Bro. Do you clean your teeth 2-3 mintes each day? What about excersises? Drinking enough water may be? And this is only base, you are has to leave your phone wasting its battery and resource just to look at game playing itself for minutes
@@Minedeploydera few minutes for daily is not much of a chore imo, as long you don't care about base efficiency and do stages with the highest sanity cost, as for annihilation, just do it at the weekend since there's auto ticket for that, no need to watch it for minutes to finish
I've been playing this game for almost 4 years now. I feel a bit burnout sometimes But I didn't uninstall the game. I simply don't force myself to play it. I at still make sure to login at least 5 times a week to get annihilation tickets. As for the event story, you can just watch a summary of it on RUclips and skip it during your playtime. The Lone Trail Event's story is really good though! One of my favorite event stories! To minimize the burnout, just don't play when you don't feel like it, it's as simple as that. If you feel like playing again, then just come back. The game is not going anywhere anytime soon.
ive been playing AK for about 3 years now, ive been taking breaks here and there but never got to the point of burnout. Played almost all gacha games but the one ive sticked with was AK. I dont really think of it as a chore, it just became part of my daily routine. kinda like automatic, and I save for limited pulls only so i dont get gacha burnout.
When i'm burnout i play PVZ, then when i'm burnout in PVZ it goes back and forth... I just love the idea of Tower defense with anime girl. I'll keep playing this game till the story end
As someone who doesn't play for more than an hour or 2 a day, I don't think I'll ever get tired of this game (or catch up to the story for that matter, I'm still on ch 8). That being said, I did get burned out on Genshin because of 2 reasons: story quests took too long and I wasn't all that invested in it, and 2, the gameplay / grinding got boring. Arknights doesn't have that because I still have about 3 dozen operators I still need to E2, and about 60 that need masteries done, as well as several side stories and main chapters to catch up to.
Oh I liiiiike this guy. I'm glad I've never heard of him before because now I got something new to discover. Blue balls was never my cup of tea. Had his channel blocked because of how downright pessimistic he came off all the time about one of my favourite games that I have been enjoying this whole time. The only burnout I ever really had was when cc 11 dropped. It was so mind numbingly easy I just took a break for the next stuff. I think I missed finishing the 2nd trials of navigator with that too but that event only being a week long each time is a crime.
Felt the same way with Destiny 2. After helping out a friend going from 1600 to 1810 base level for 4 months straight, dealing with lfg shenanigans and other personal issues, I felt burned out. Completely. Utterly. Didn’t help the fact Ligthfall also sucked to high heaven. Took a month long break. But during that break, out came the layoffs and my spirit to keep going with the game **cracked**. With what you mentioned, idk htf that collab is gonna happen and idk what the future holds for D2. It’s why I focused more on DRG, bouncing back to Azur Lane, Cyberpunk 2077, even getting on OSRS which I haven’t touched in 7 years. But for AK, this event is what’s gonna keep me going; keep me playing this game. It’s got the lore lore junkies, like me, crave. A nostalgic gameplay that reminds me of the old balloons tower days, and characters rich in detail and enough fanservice in more ways than one. So yeah, Arknights. Gotta love it.

i used to have a bur out early in my arknights account and even occasionally forgeet to claim daily reward cause there wasnt a claim all, but because now i pretty much just login farm stuff and bse and out ive never had a burn out, and its probably also cause the future banners is littt. i also play 2 other gacha games besides ak still dont get burn out though
Played since day 1, and yeah, if you're tired just take.a.break. If you don't want to abuse meta operators, just... Don't. THIS IS A GAME MY FELLOW DOKUTAHS, and games are for having fun. Remember that. And I'm not just saying things but doing the opposite, oh no. I still don't have Chalter or Thorns. I haven't done any story stages past chapter 7. I've only done CC once in awhile, definitely less than 5 full completions. I don't spend $$$$ in the game to get rolls. And, of course, I have taken multiple breaks, some lasting for more than half a year. You'll be fine, relax and enjoy.
This if not, the only gacha game that I'd stay for a long time(playing since March 2020) I remember saying I'll quit or retire when I get Nian(which I got recently in Chongyue banner after 4 years)but I said screw it. I'm gonna stay in this game till it shut down(which I hope would not happen). They keep releasing banger contents to the point it makes you forget about quitting.
Advice to all burned out Dokutahs, please read on and see if you've been missing out on doing any of the follow? They might help! Burnout only happens if the many micro dailies amount to nothing and you have nothing to look for to. Then they just become a chore. Every 3 months I do a huge pull extravaganza, and i have a boarding problem so every limited and off banner I get is a huge pay off. In that light, every single daily errand feels fulfilling. Farming 1-7 non-stop in a popup window while i mindlessly browse the web gets me more pulls. Feels like I discovered a hidden gold mine. Recruiting til I run out of tickets means I get at least 5 additional pulls per month MINIMUM, usually much more. Managing the Base (Beta™) is the true end game. When you're 2+ years in and have most of the best Base skill Ops, min-maxing to get the best daily production output is exhilarating, like the final push at the end of the Tour de France. 😅 I view every extra 1k LMD or gold on my daily report with the eyes of a Rhodes Scholar parent; this was me, I creates this. Lmao On top of that, AK dailies are so effortless (R1999 still beats it tho), and there are so many industry un-trends (6 month procognition, generous gachs rates, no weapons/gear to endlessly farm for, etc.) that it's hard get sick of AK.
The only event that burned me out was the fire in the sands event. Too repetitive, didn't care, skipped it. I will keep playing and supporting hypergryph games in general, no matter what they make. More good stuff right around the corner boys.
I'd be less likely to burn out if there's less chore. I don't think I've burn out of the gameplay yet. Especially base management. I'd let the game auto-assign it for me, I don't even care if it gives me nonoptimal setups.

i think that being vontent creators helped with them being burned out of the game, you're basically starting your channel as a dedication for your love for the game but over time you get tired, not just from repetition alone, but also limiting your own time to just this game, I stopped playing ak 3 times now and it's always within the 3-6 month mark where I fekt that I've been taking this too seriously instead of the game serving as relaxation for me

I'm playing since 2021 but sometimes I take some hiatus(s) and only showing up if my current or upcoming favourite characters got a spotlight 🤣. For me, why I should read or play if my favs are not in there?🤣 So after playing at the first time, I cleared the stages until chapter 8, then waited until under tides (Gladia) , went into hiatus until Stultivera (Lumen and Elysium), hiatus again for upcoming chapter 11 (Stainless and Totter) and I go into hiatus again until chapter 13 release bc of Hoerderer. Being the EN player makes me have an advantage to oversee the next event/chapter so I (almost) never get the burnout 🤣.
I'm worried about the time when Endfield will release because then we'll probably have a big cut in player count. To be honest I'm 0% hyped for Endfield for whatever reason. Maybe it's because I already know I won't have enough time to play another game.
the only reason why anyone playing AK would jump to endfield is if they were invested in the game world. the people playing Endfield are going to be the ones who play the other action gacha games or people interested in the AK world but didnt enjoy the gameplay. its more likely to draw more new people in

I've gotten burnt out with many gacha games before, but it's honestly hard to say which stance to take for Arknights. I love this game, nothing out there really feels like it (at least nothing I found). And ive gotten a few people to play, most to almost all left by now. Dropping and picking up Arknights has happened a few times to me already but I can't help but see its slow death. Demoralizing, but not of everyone, I guess. Great game, if you dig deep enough.

AK is the type of game that have alot of ingame contents but not the type of game content that have alot of potential to make alot of videos about it. Most of the time the main video content we get are unit showcase and bully any potential enemies or bosses in new stages. This game is like gbf, gfl and AL. The games have alot and tons of ingame content but the potential to make a game content out of it are limited. I don't think Yii quit the game are the biggest lost because he already gave us videos that some of them eventualy gonna be relevant and we'll see if this game either will still thriving or falling out and become a husk of it's former self like what happen to King's Raid.

While you make some good points, I dare say they are right for the wrong reason. Arknights is a great game. Base is a slog, sure, but you can just ignore it (especially when you played long enough to disregard some extra resources). But the burnout is very much real. It can come for many different reasons in a live service game, and I just came out from a half year long one, but there is another, more substantial reason to quit the game. Most of the content is dogshit. Besides a few cool new operators A YEAR, there are tons of "literal who"s coming out, with neither good visual nor mechanical design. Events have some great moments in them, but these good things are spread out too thinly over time. Instead of quitting you can just check what's good every half a year during the anniversary events. If there is a good event you missed, you can just dig it up when it comes to the archives, and the BEST content - ISes are permanent. We can see what the next half a year has in store thanks to being on global, but I can't call my friend and say "Come play Arknights, the good content is coming"! Anyway. I won't quit the game, but you won't lose much of you do it now. Maybe the content in the far future will be amazing, but until then there are better ways to spend your time.
Arknights isnt the best game to make content of as devs never adressed the content issues creators were facing It doesnt help that games gameplay cycle became linear with no new "jaw dropping" additions At this point unless they make a BTD like challenge/map creation system then it wont take long till most others will quit too. Arknights is a beautiful game to play but not so "creative" game to make videos off of unlike other big titles

i burnt out once, then I came back and realized I like this game more than anything I ever played.
I'm in the "I love this game too much to give it up" camp, despite it's difficulty and tedium sometimes. The characters, gameplay, story, art, music, etc. is just too good to breakaway from. Not to mention that it's either this game, or Genshin for me, and trust me, the burnout from that game is way worse than Arknights, at least for me
Honestly and besides you can always challenge yourself not using meta units.

I've been playing Arknights for 11 months already and I just love the game so far.
The world building of this game is phenomenal and it's my favorite aspect of it.
Most pieces of media these days try to have some kind of big space/multiverse crap and most of them just fail to deliver because they sell you the idea of being big and vast, but turns out, they are just empty, totally simple, not well explored or showed to the player.
Arknights was totally different from other games for me, the world in this game is ACTUALLY rich and vast.
You have different cultures, character designs, scenario designs, characters/groups/organizations motivations/purposes.
Everything is so well detailed, connected, explored and naturally made and doesn't feel like some kind of "nerdy" world building, ya know? It's just incredible, man...
The art is also fucking good too. Most part of the time the art is grey and gives you a calm/peaceful sensation. Some other times, tries to be a little more radiant and colorful, but without being something like "MODerN GaMiNG" filled with neon and strong colors like pink and turquoise everyFUCKINGwhere.
Believe it or not, one of the reasons why I actually stayed in Arknights was because of the UI. The minimalist style mixed with all that white color + that little futuristic feeling it's awesome. Maybe only Punishing Gray Raven can match that style kkkk.
The gameplay is also unique too, at first I thought this game was going to be a Plants vs Zombies mixed with Fire Emblem, but nooooope, Arknights has its own stuff and it's nice 👍!
Anyway, not everything is perfect, right?
The idea of having two 6 stars in just one banner sucks, and the 300 pulls "pity"(Now 150) also sucks + the store packs and micro transactions are way too expensive 😔
Anyway, overall I'll stay in this game for a loooong time to come, it's been fun and it's entertaining me, that's all that matters.

Honestly as much as I want to try understanding how much of a "loss" Box2 and Yii's departure from AK content creation I feel like I've seen more new people doing content creation related to AK... Like some streamers(Georgie), or some music related channels(8bitdrummer, catharsis and marcomeatball)... Heck even the animation peeps are getting officially showcased now.

I'm entering my 3rd year in Arknights, and I'm grateful that I'm reaching this point because this is where everything i feel at best. With the increasing popularity of AFK strats, i can always afk farm the event while doing work on my laptop.
And I'm a lore-enthusiastic person so i always read XD i must admit Arknights lore has the depth and i just love it. It is basically good and free reading material than ordinary novels out there which doesn't offer the same depth as AK story.
I'm not denying that at some point i did experienced burnout too, but thank god it mostly happened on rerun events so I'm always ready when new events and new lore drops.

I tried to read lonetrail but I didn’t care about most of the characters so I went to continue reading chapter 10 instead. Best decision of my life, I finally reached the part where W shows up and I regained motivation to play this game.
Idk I just can’t find myself caring about most characters because I barely know anything about them. Arknights has too many characters these days and dividing a little screen time to everyone doesn’t work. For me, I love W because she’s been around since the very beginning, showing up in chapter 1, 3, 4, 8 and 10. Her event, Darknights Memoir, was also the first event I experienced and it was fun trying to beat it as a newbie. I got her in 20 pulls on her banner so I also don’t have a bitter memory of gacha like I do with 80% of the characters I own(my gacha luck dipped into earth’s core soon after getting W). W even got a cheap 15/18(I forgot) OP skin that increased in value after getting L2D, new voice lines, etc. She then proceeds to become the main character during Ambience Synthesia as is I wasn’t eat good enough already. The only bad thing about being a W fan is seeing HG make the biggest financial blunder in Arknights history by not making W’s Ambience Synthesia outfit a skin in-game.
TLDR: I invested in W stocks and it was worth it every time.

I've only played Arknights for 8 months, but I have been loving it. I've never been this invested in a single game, and i'm gonna be in it for the long haul
I've played PGR my fav since 1 day and I'm now on my 4 month break of this game after 2 years. I got used to try out new games and each time there's a little break and burnouts, sometimes I missed the times that I got excited to play new content on PGR, but I can't and won't return after my burnouts, it's better to end your journey rather than lose enjoyment completely and I think I closed a chapter of my former game.
I've had burnouts (mainly just not wanting to read Lingering Echos, Ideal City or Il Sircusano,, not actually step away), sluggish periods (Lone Trail, getting Mumu at the end of 14 days causing me stress the whole time) or moments of doubt (Twilight of Wolumonde, back when Tectone just left the AK community), but I still stick with this game hard each day, and I have since just past the pre-reg reward/Grani event periods; just a touch late to the party, but four years strong! I try to play anything else, but there's so much good about AK that's hard to beat compared to every other mobile game or gacha. It's been my hyperfixation since that February I joined, and I'm enjoying watching the landscape of Terra bloom. It's a dangerous-yet-wonderful beast of a world we sail across, and I can't bear to part with it.
Endfield will certainly be filling a spot alongside Arknights itself, and I'm praying for a tabletop-RPG (think Dungeons & Dragons) system at some point.
I've had my burn out one year ago when i hit rock bottom of my life. But i eventually comeback cuz there is no other gacha games as good as arknight. Now i find myself enjoying it more. So if you have burn out its okay, take your time.

Been playing Arknights since launch, and I log in and play every single day, the only game I can say that for. Still excited for the game and to see where it’s going.
That said, I can def understand why some get burnout. I’ve been purposefully slow in a lot of areas so I always have something to do, with resources hoarded so I can develop ops as I feel inspired to, instead of going balls to the wall and maxing everything up front. I play a lot when I feel like it, and burn just the excess sanity if I need a break (usually between events).

Yii leaving the AK community is not even that big of a deal. His videos did have good editing, and his narration was pretty good, but the information he provided in his videos wasn't that valuable tbf. All he did was literally read skill descriptions and say "you can us it in cc or whatever moving on". And Box2 should never have evem gotten the attention of the community. He was just a clown shitposter, and his departure really didn't do anything bad for the community.

I've been playing this game for almost 4 years now. I feel a bit burnout sometimes But I didn't uninstall the game. I simply don't force myself to play it. I at still make sure to login at least 5 times a week to get annihilation tickets. As for the event story, you can just watch a summary of it on RUclips and skip it during your playtime. The Lone Trail Event's story is really good though! One of my favorite event stories! To minimize the burnout, just don't play when you don't feel like it, it's as simple as that. If you feel like playing again, then just come back. The game is not going anywhere anytime soon.

ive been playing AK for about 3 years now, ive been taking breaks here and there but never got to the point of burnout. Played almost all gacha games but the one ive sticked with was AK. I dont really think of it as a chore, it just became part of my daily routine. kinda like automatic, and I save for limited pulls only so i dont get gacha burnout.
When i'm burnout i play PVZ, then when i'm burnout in PVZ it goes back and forth... I just love the idea of Tower defense with anime girl. I'll keep playing this game till the story end

As someone who doesn't play for more than an hour or 2 a day, I don't think I'll ever get tired of this game (or catch up to the story for that matter, I'm still on ch 8). That being said, I did get burned out on Genshin because of 2 reasons: story quests took too long and I wasn't all that invested in it, and 2, the gameplay / grinding got boring. Arknights doesn't have that because I still have about 3 dozen operators I still need to E2, and about 60 that need masteries done, as well as several side stories and main chapters to catch up to.

Blue balls was never my cup of tea. Had his channel blocked because of how downright pessimistic he came off all the time about one of my favourite games that I have been enjoying this whole time.
The only burnout I ever really had was when cc 11 dropped. It was so mind numbingly easy I just took a break for the next stuff. I think I missed finishing the 2nd trials of navigator with that too but that event only being a week long each time is a crime.
Felt the same way with Destiny 2. After helping out a friend going from 1600 to 1810 base level for 4 months straight, dealing with lfg shenanigans and other personal issues, I felt burned out. Completely. Utterly. Didn’t help the fact Ligthfall also sucked to high heaven. Took a month long break. But during that break, out came the layoffs and my spirit to keep going with the game **cracked**. With what you mentioned, idk htf that collab is gonna happen and idk what the future holds for D2. It’s why I focused more on DRG, bouncing back to Azur Lane, Cyberpunk 2077, even getting on OSRS which I haven’t touched in 7 years. But for AK, this event is what’s gonna keep me going; keep me playing this game. It’s got the lore lore junkies, like me, crave. A nostalgic gameplay that reminds me of the old balloons tower days, and characters rich in detail and enough fanservice in more ways than one. So yeah, Arknights. Gotta love it.

i used to have a bur out early in my arknights account and even occasionally forgeet to claim daily reward cause there wasnt a claim all, but because now i pretty much just login farm stuff and bse and out ive never had a burn out, and its probably also cause the future banners is littt. i also play 2 other gacha games besides ak still dont get burn out though

I still don't have Chalter or Thorns. I haven't done any story stages past chapter 7. I've only done CC once in awhile, definitely less than 5 full completions. I don't spend $$$$ in the game to get rolls. And, of course, I have taken multiple breaks, some lasting for more than half a year.

This if not, the only gacha game that I'd stay for a long time(playing since March 2020) I remember saying I'll quit or retire when I get Nian(which I got recently in Chongyue banner after 4 years)but I said screw it. Burnout only happens if the many micro dailies amount to nothing and you have nothing to look for to. Then they just become a chore.
Every 3 months I do a huge pull extravaganza, and i have a boarding problem so every limited and off banner I get is a huge pay off.
In that light, every single daily errand feels fulfilling.
Farming 1-7 non-stop in a popup window while i mindlessly browse the web gets me more pulls. Feels like I discovered a hidden gold mine.
Recruiting til I run out of tickets means I get at least 5 additional pulls per month MINIMUM, usually much more.
Managing the Base (Beta™) is the true end game. When you're 2+ years in and have most of the best Base skill Ops, min-maxing to get the best daily production output is exhilarating, like the final push at the end of the Tour de France. 😅 I view every extra 1k LMD or gold on my daily report with the eyes of a Rhodes Scholar parent; this was me, I creates this. Lmao
On top of that, AK dailies are so effortless (R1999 still beats it tho), and there are so many industry un-trends (6 month procognition, generous gachs rates, no weapons/gear to endlessly farm for, etc.) that it's hard get sick of AK.
The only event that burned me out was the fire in the sands event. Too repetitive, didn't care, skipped it. I will keep playing and supporting hypergryph games in general, no matter what they make. More good stuff right around the corner boys.

i think that being vontent creators helped with them being burned out of the game, you're basically starting your channel as a dedication for your love for the game but over time you get tired, not just from repetition alone, but also limiting your own time to just this game, I stopped playing ak 3 times now and it's always within the 3-6 month mark where I fekt that I've been taking this too seriously instead of the game serving as relaxation for me

So after playing at the first time, I cleared the stages until chapter 8, then waited until under tides (Gladia) , went into hiatus until Stultivera (Lumen and Elysium), hiatus again for upcoming chapter 11 (Stainless and Totter) and I go into hiatus again until chapter 13 release bc of Hoerderer. Being the EN player makes me have an advantage to oversee the next event/chapter so I (almost) never get the burnout 🤣.

the only reason why anyone playing AK would jump to endfield is if they were invested in the game world. the people playing Endfield are going to be the ones who play the other action gacha games or people interested in the AK world but didnt enjoy the gameplay. its more likely to draw more new people in

I've gotten burnt out with many gacha games before, but it's honestly hard to say which stance to take for Arknights.
I love this game, nothing out there really feels like it (at least nothing I found). And ive gotten a few people to play, most to almost all left by now. Dropping and picking up Arknights has happened a few times to me already but I can't help but see its slow death.

AK is the type of game that have alot of ingame contents but not the type of game content that have alot of potential to make alot of videos about it. Most of the time the main video content we get are unit showcase and bully any potential enemies or bosses in new stages.
This game is like gbf, gfl and AL. The games have alot and tons of ingame content but the potential to make a game content out of it are limited.
I don't think Yii quit the game are the biggest lost because he already gave us videos that some of them eventualy gonna be relevant and we'll see if this game either will still thriving or falling out and become a husk of it's former self like what happen to King's Raid.

While you make some good points, I dare say they are right for the wrong reason.
Arknights is a great game. Base is a slog, sure, but you can just ignore it (especially when you played long enough to disregard some extra resources). But the burnout is very much real. It can come for many different reasons in a live service game, and I just came out from a half year long one, but there is another, more substantial reason to quit the game.
Most of the content is dogshit. Besides a few cool new operators A YEAR, there are tons of "literal who"s coming out, with neither good visual nor mechanical design. Events have some great moments in them, but these good things are spread out too thinly over time.
Instead of quitting you can just check what's good every half a year during the anniversary events. If there is a good event you missed, you can just dig it up when it comes to the archives, and the BEST content - ISes are permanent.
We can see what the next half a year has in store thanks to being on global, but I can't call my friend and say "Come play Arknights, the good content is coming"!
Anyway. I won't quit the game, but you won't lose much of you do it now. Maybe the content in the far future will be amazing, but until then there are better ways to spend your time.

Arknights is a beautiful game to play but not so "creative" game to make videos off of unlike other big titles
