What I love about the races of Arknights is that how much they actually reference the creatures they are based on. Felines can be found everywhere since Cats are known to be highly adaptive animals, Kuranta's run faster and longer like actual horses which are use for long distance travel and many more. But at the same time they also mimic the culture of whatever nation they are in, which are also inspired by real life nations e.g Siracusan Lupo forms gangs and loves thier cuisine like real wolves form a pack and Italians are known to be Culinary enthusiast
I always thought Hypergryth is always releasing a new random operator without much design consideration. but, after watching this i realized there is so much more to this game. Giving me so much more reason to love and support this game than any other gacha game in the market
yeah I used to read every ops files back when I started out, they add so much value to the games world the trivia that the wiki writers figure out and point out are also great to look at

They are just talking animals with immortality but most of them have a big lore on each of them. -Gawain, a lion was part of Foedn Hotlands battle with Lugalzargus, King of King 1000 years ago. -High Priest, a bird live even before first Acahualla great chief. -Zaaro, part lupine beastlord pack that play battle royal to hunt each other proxies for millennia simply because they can't kill each other. - Amma, a mythical deer that protect sami from collapsal threat. -Emperor, a penguin that start his own company, first creator of Rap as well a popular classical musician 3000 years ago along with other beastlord. There also other Beastlord like Dolly the pick sheep and small cat in sargon dessert( I forgot his name)
The Beast Lords, While appearing only as talking and Immortal animals, are really more than undying beings. Rather they are the personification of each nations, race and other aspects. Such examples are The Signori del Lupi who are the personification of Wilderness and the embodiment of Siracusa, Amma is love and the guardian patron of Sami, Gawain the Beast who harness the power of Propechy while also being a guardian Beast Lord of the Aslans just to name a few that I know.

The run down of all the different races was pretty well done, good job. But I do wonder how necessary was the early dive into the deeper lore on these races (elders, ancients, native vs foreign etc)? I feel like a newbie would quickly get overwhelmed with this type of information and especially at the end with the first civilisation, a lot of this stuff could be considered story spoilers. Maybe separating those deeper more spoilery dives into a portion of the video could work better? Keep it up tho!
Thank you so much for this video. I was vaguely interested in the Arknights lore and Endfield game coming at some point. So I decided to take a look at what I might need to know. Let me just say that this scratched an itch I’ve been struggling to deal with for so long. I’ve always loved encyclopedias and specifically that of animals and dinosaurs. Unique races are so interesting. It’s why I love word-building as much as character-building in my favorite genre fantasy. I’ve also been a big anime fan for so long as well, so I’ve been getting into gacha games. Kemonomimi and fantasy races are so interesting and I wish they would be explored more in-depth, and this is that to a t. Honestly, this game has pretty much everything I could ask for. But it’s a little late for me to get into this type of game as far as I’m concerned, and I like tower defense but like to see my full character models. So I’m likely gonna play Endfield. I know it’s gonna be somewhat different with separate characters, timeline, factions, and entire world. That’s honestly really a bummer, but understandable. I can only hope it has an equal level of interesting lore and characters/references to Arknights characters. I know I’ll be keeping up with the lore while I play Endfield. Anyhow, thank you so much for the video and I’ll always be interested in what you post next!
There is one exception to which race will the child be. Sankta. Child of a Sankta and another race cannot be Sankta. The only exception to it is Cecilia who's is part Sankta and part Sarkaz. These are probably the only races which can have mixed child. But there won't be many of them as these races hate each other. Also Sarkaz hated Sankta not because they changed but because they deserted during war with (I think) first civilization. And Durins descended from Sarkaz.

I have a question. When the R6 squad came to terra why do they need to disguise themselves yo have animalistic festures? Why cant they just pretend to be an aegir? Tbh i was kinda confused how thorns doesn't have a physical animal trait so I thought some aegir can manifest like him too.
Suzuran is a very special case for me at least. Not only she is a half in terms of race but also in terms of nationality. Her father is a Kitsune (an elder subrace of Vulpo) Kanuushi from Higashi while her mom is a Siracusan Mafiogsa Vulpo from Siracusa. Making her both half Vulpo/Kitsune and half Higanese/Siracusan. The same case may be applied to Talulah.

i'm just a nobody but a player but, if i remember correctly, 1. There is a theory out there that said the characters with animal traits were an evolution left unchecked by the first civilization. 2. Somebody said that Arknights is both post apocalyptic (oripathy and all) and is in the middle of one (the observer), and its just the perspective of who's talking. i really doubt i made those 2 up because they left something in me, though i don't know when i first read them.
I heard from someone said that the original Terranians was an actual animal or at least their original form but evolved to more humanoid form after doctor race drop the originium into Terran. I dont know if its true or not. Im still learning the lore tho

We don't know exactly why they turned humanoid and other animals did not, but its something to do with originium. The main reason we know this is from Chapter 8 SPOILERS We see this when Mephisto enters into the sarcophogus, and is returned to his species' original form, which is a giant bird.
Apparently after having to look up some sources. Humanity in arknights is a spacefaring race, meaning there are other humans in the galaxy on other planets, as for the animals, it seems like they brought them along with them, which led them to evolve (because of origium?) as beastmen or demi human races. Also One of the events, correct me if I'm wrong, a person named Wright wanted to use a laser beam to blow up the starpod. Which did lead to her blowing it up and having the rest of Terra to see the stars. However she will most likely be the planets downfall since that pod was the sole reason the observer wasn't able to attack them.
Good job on the videos. But I have one complaint. I didn't pint it out in the first one because I wanted to see the second one and get more context: Your style of writing assumes the watcher has some information already, or will be synthetizing it from future content. For example, you were talking about the reaces during the geography video, but a person who has not paid attention at all to the lore in the game will not know that the races are a thing at all. In this video, I see no reason not to mention the origin of the ancient races. In the end, anyone coming to a video such as this one will not care about spoilers. Most people will want them, that's why they come to a lore video, to knwo the lore, even if it's lore they have not yet reached in the game. That's why I would preface the whole thing with an abridged version of the history of the world. That would give most of the context needed to understand why the world is the way it is. But good job nevertheless. It's surprising to me that there was no one doing videos like these for a game as rich in lore as Arknights.

The origin of the Ancient races is pretty improtant to the history of the world itself, and you can't really understand what they are or why they are fundamentally different from the "natives". The only reason I can see not to include it in the video would be to prevent spoilers. But a person who comes seeking a lore video has already commited to getting spoiled, that's the essence of a lore video. Again, I'm very grateful that someone is finally compiling what information we have about the world of Terra. My own knowledge vastly lacking to do so myself. And the time it takes to do the relevant research is admirable. I just would like the information to be presented in a bit more of a coherent way. Among other things, so that I can confirm if my own understanding of the lore is correct.

I have a question. When the R6 squad came to terra why do they need to disguise themselves yo have animalistic festures? Why cant they just pretend to be an aegir? Tbh i was kinda confused how thorns doesn't have a physical animal trait so I thought some aegir can manifest like him too.

If by crossbreeding the child is either race A or race B then how do you explain Suzuran? Both of her parents aren't the same race as hers
Suzuran is a very special case for me at least. Not only she is a half in terms of race but also in terms of nationality. Her father is a Kitsune (an elder subrace of Vulpo) Kanuushi from Higashi while her mom is a Siracusan Mafiogsa Vulpo from Siracusa. Making her both half Vulpo/Kitsune and half Higanese/Siracusan. The same case may be applied to Talulah.

i'm just a nobody but a player but, if i remember correctly,
1. There is a theory out there that said the characters with animal traits were an evolution left unchecked by the first civilization.
2. Somebody said that Arknights is both post apocalyptic (oripathy and all) and is in the middle of one (the observer), and its just the perspective of who's talking.
i really doubt i made those 2 up because they left something in me, though i don't know when i first read them.
I heard from someone said that the original Terranians was an actual animal or at least their original form but evolved to more humanoid form after doctor race drop the originium into Terran. I dont know if its true or not. Im still learning the lore tho

Some theorize that the reason they got ears is because of the oripathy side effects that leads to mutations or evolution which why they got those animal feature.
@@BlackCloud456 yeah that's pretty true. The species in Arknights with animal features originated from animals. We don't know exactly why they turned humanoid and other animals did not, but its something to do with originium. The main reason we know this is from Chapter 8 SPOILERS
We see this when Mephisto enters into the sarcophogus, and is returned to his species' original form, which is a giant bird.
Apparently after having to look up some sources. Humanity in arknights is a spacefaring race, meaning there are other humans in the galaxy on other planets, as for the animals, it seems like they brought them along with them, which led them to evolve (because of origium?) as beastmen or demi human races.
Also One of the events, correct me if I'm wrong, a person named Wright wanted to use a laser beam to blow up the starpod. Which did lead to her blowing it up and having the rest of Terra to see the stars.
However she will most likely be the planets downfall since that pod was the sole reason the observer wasn't able to attack them.

But I have one complaint. I didn't pint it out in the first one because I wanted to see the second one and get more context:
Your style of writing assumes the watcher has some information already, or will be synthetizing it from future content. For example, you were talking about the reaces during the geography video, but a person who has not paid attention at all to the lore in the game will not know that the races are a thing at all. In this video, I see no reason not to mention the origin of the ancient races.
In the end, anyone coming to a video such as this one will not care about spoilers. Most people will want them, that's why they come to a lore video, to knwo the lore, even if it's lore they have not yet reached in the game. That's why I would preface the whole thing with an abridged version of the history of the world. That would give most of the context needed to understand why the world is the way it is.
But good job nevertheless. It's surprising to me that there was no one doing videos like these for a game as rich in lore as Arknights.

@@Navihurricane Yeah, I guess. But then it makes even less sense to leave important information out. The origin of the Ancient races is pretty improtant to the history of the world itself, and you can't really understand what they are or why they are fundamentally different from the "natives". The only reason I can see not to include it in the video would be to prevent spoilers. But a person who comes seeking a lore video has already commited to getting spoiled, that's the essence of a lore video.
Again, I'm very grateful that someone is finally compiling what information we have about the world of Terra. My own knowledge vastly lacking to do so myself. And the time it takes to do the relevant research is admirable. I just would like the information to be presented in a bit more of a coherent way. Among other things, so that I can confirm if my own understanding of the lore is correct.
This was banger just like the previous video. I don't play the game but I am very interested in the lore and world building. It would be nice to make more videos dedicated to important countries and races. Like Victoria, how it started and how it is now. Or how the Teekaz became the many Sarkaz races, or what it means to be the Lord of Fiends.
