- Oh great, another beach episode featuring a boring story... or so we thought. Will this year's "Summer" event save us from the chilling cold?

Arknights has an amazing setting, great characters, but constantly fucking suffers by having to push them both through the coffee filter that is. "For this essay, your wordcount must reach 1000 words."
What an accurate description. I love Arknights because of the stories and characters, but I have a hard time following all the stories because they are super long. Some event stories made me feel like I had read an entire book with 300 pages /lol.
Near Light and Chapter 8 have a higher wordcount than the fucking Portrait of Dorean Grey, and while I'm sure that I'd enjoy reading Dorean Grey, it's a bit out of place when I need to finish the event before it's over lmao

I personally won't forget ending of Pon story. Finally arriving to Siesta after long journey...
Except she is Pon so she arrive to Siesta which got destroyed by Volcano 4 years ago (but because she arrived just after another eruption from her PoV city probably got destroyed just as she got there) and completely unaware everyone moved to whatever place on horizon (it never specified how far "Siesta 2.0, now with less Volcano" is, but it mentions you could see Volcano/Siesta from harbor area)

for me, i don't like Eyja part and don't think she should have been the focus of this event. i like the sheep wacky shenanigans trying to get Eyja to enjoy life, but because it doesn't really leads to anywhere, kinda make me regret trying to fight off the boredom to get through Eyja and the sheep part.
Swire, Ceylon and Enis should have been the focus of the story instead. i would rather have some semi serious story line as a main point(Siesta change, infected, business struggle/venture) and deescalate the tension with shenanigans at the end of the story(sheep shenanigans).
as for Enis, i don't know man, he's on that grind and probably doesn't want to have anything to do with ladies until he is financially ready to take care of his partner.

Haha, I agree with your points here. The story of "So Long Adele" is fun to read (and much shorter and easier to understand than Lone Trail. Yikes, I skipped half of the chapters of that event). The story this time is heartwarming and wholesome with funny moments. Those rascal sheep did give me a good laugh with all the mess they created. Still, yes, you can skip some parts, such as the business battle between Swire and Bison. Man, I only understand half of it, but I'm glad to see our Bison shine. It's cliche and somewhat cringing, but I'm also happy to see that everything went well in this story. Ceylon showed her determination to help her homeland and reconcile with her father (maybe?). Adele got her answer and learned more about her parents. Costa finished his task and continued with his life, building his family (good for him). Enis finally agreed to get Oripathy treatment. How I love the happy ending.
