It is just like Alloying, in which by adding 10% Chromium to Iron it becomes Stainless steel which is corrosion resistant and has much durability, by adding 20-30% Gold to your portfolio it becomes correction resistant and more durable with out sacrificing growth.
Hi Alok! Great video! For me, the key takeaways were, 1. Indeed, Gold ETFs are not backed by physical gold but this is also insured! 2. Fort Knox anyway is a case of " knock knock! Who's there? I had always had 10% in Gold ETFs and SGBs! Now that SGBs are ' sepia tinted nostalgia' and anyway, Digital gold being unregulated and avoiding FoFs again a 'no- brainer' only options are Gold ETFs or Physical gold! After listening to you I'm increasing it to 25%! But as mention of Counter party risk and the risk of a country's financial failure I think atleast half of that should be in the convenient form of Gold bars/coins! This Thursday Tanishq sold me the same at 8850/gm while the IBJA rate was 7956! Retail Investor ki kismat me hi hai lutna! Fortunately I draw solace from the fact that Titan is a significant part of my folio ! 😅
Thank you Sir, The last question was amazing that you have a certificate to show to the investor that you hold this much gold because in usa there 8k tonne of gold but isn't audited from last 15 years. 😂
Ok this is a very hypothetical question. I know this won't happen. What if people stop trading in gold etf. What if there are no buyers and everyone wants to sell. what will happen in that case??
Very clearly it was a sponsored video towards fund of funds. However the guest could not build the traction… good part is that he was very transparent about the negatives of FOF. All in all educational video..
Although best is physical gold in case of sovereign economic disaster.. In your possession, rest can fail.. Some people save capital gains by physical gold transactions..
How many civil wars have you or your parents faced. If in case, India does face such a situation, the prices of paper gold as well physical gold would be in sync. You would not be in a situation to migrate to another country with ur physical gold, unless the quantity of gold you own is insignificant.
I have Goldbees in my portfolio. Everyone should buy Gold ETF to balance out equity portfolio and gold generally beats inflation by 0.5 - 1% in returns over long term.
To be honest I didnt like this podcast. I think when you come alone and do your daily analysis that's the best analysis. You have more knowledge than any of these experts.
Who else needs a new podcast to be released every Sunday evening of around 45 min -1 hr. Duration.
haha

I had the same doubt. Is the ETF price solely determined by the gold rate, or is the supply/demand of the ETF itself a factor?
Very insightful... as always, Thanks Alokji
Awesome podcast!!!
Thanks for listening

Why goldbees price differ from actual Gold price
returns will be same minus costs
Good conversation and great insights about etf’s. By listening this, either we stay with gold bees or should we replace bees with etf's ?
Gold bees are gold etfs only
Nice insight on gold fof and etf
Great interview

SGBs are not backed by physical gold
Can we expect good returns from Gold for next 5 years at least? What about Silver? Greatly helpful video btw!
Gold comes handy when there is some kind of civil war and I feel physical gold is good to hold rather than digital gold.

Which is the best way to have gold in the portfolio?
Gold ETF
@puspendugoswami1671 but what's the expense ratio on it?
@puspendugoswami1671 any particular AMC gold etf you hold that you would recommend! Thanks in advance!

True
@AlokJain Sir how can we do valuation of gold? I want to add gold to my portfolio but at reasonable valuation. Please help 🙏🏻
Not possible imho. If gold is expanding faster than money supply then there may be a case
GOLDBEES was down -0.4% and GOLDCASE was up +0.7%
How to understand this ?
Don't look at short term moves
What percentage of goldbees Is held in physical form and what percentage in futures form?
No futures I think
tier 1 channel
Etf vs bond taxation
Please reply me
Is gold etf invest direct in gold or gold related stocks
And same with gild mf
Into physical gold
