The piano is a backing track, originally played by Pau. She's listed in the credits on piano for tracks 3, 4, 5, 7, 12, 13 It's a truly amazing album, the maturity of their songwriting at this age is Mozart-level
Although all three of them know piano, Dany and Ale say that Pau is the best at it now, likely because she has kept up with the instrument as she uses it for composing their music. I'm sure that even back when this album was recorded that was the case.
Who else has written something this “deep”, and emotionally complex, at these ages? Both musically, and lyrically 😧. They’re special. 🤘⚡️✨ 🕊 ✨ The Warning ✨ 🕊
The presentation of the Queen of the Murder Scene album at Lunario is absolutely fantastic. You can see Dany turn into the maniacal Queen as the concert goes on.
This song is from their 2nd album, Queen of the Murder Scene, a concept album released in 2018 when Ale was 13, Pau was 16, and Dany was 18. This show was on the day that the full album was released. November 24, 2018. Yesterday was the 6th anniversary. The album tells the story of a young woman’s descent into obsession, murder, and madness, exploring her internal battle between light and darkness. The One is the fourth track and the last song in Chapter 1, marking a critical turning point in the story. By this point, the protagonist’s infatuation has transformed into a dangerous fixation. No longer content to admire from afar, she is determined to "be the one" in her love interest’s life, no matter the cost. This resolve sets her on the dark and destructive path that unfolds in the rest of the album.
And they were 12, 15 and 17 when they composed the album if I am not mistaken they could have been younger because I have read that Ale came up with the riff intro to Dust to Dust when she was eleven.
And the entire album was the brainchild of Pau. She already had the lyrics of 4 or 5 songs plus some riffs. What an amazing composer that woman is. In one of the documentaries Dany said "Why is there so much blood.
Yeah, and I'd love it if they rerecorded their old covers, and released a cover album, which should include a full length version of Kickstart My Heart, and, of course, their first Enter Sandman cover, I am very curious how those covers would sound now, with a lot more time, practice and experience under their belts.
Fun fact about this song: they originally recorded one of the lyrics as "that let my heart explode." When they got home their mom had misheard the lyrics and was singing to herself "that left my heart exposed." They looked at each other and said that sounded better - they went back to the studio and rerecorded the lyric the way their mom sang it.
@@gerstelb Unfortunately mom does not have official writing credit on Narcisista. I looked at Spotify and Apple Music. Mom is their Spanish language grammarian; but only got official credit on Qué Más Quieres.

From the tiny Lunario which sits next door to the Auditorio Nacional is going to be a very nostalgic moment for DPA when they go back there in February.
Simple to play?.....maybe Simple to play with the feel and passion of TW?.....near impossible Simple to write a song like this that touches the soul?......1 in a million....:)
You should do this Whole show, in Order as it's the story of QOTMS and they act it out, especially Dany! Even if you've listened to the songs before, its an experience the original TWA went through, and is So Worth it...! Either way, keep em coming.. As always, Rock On DPA & TWA!⚡✌️🤟⚠️⚡
This entire concert is a masterful performance. So young here, but rocking out like a band who've played together for decades. I recommend reacting to each song in order.
They practice, practice, practice, then they go to work and practice some more. Three of the most dedicated, hard working people on the planet in their craft.❤😊
The band's Magnus Opus, released in 2018 when they were 18-16-13. They were so far ahead of the curve at this point that you'll struggle finding a group of similar-aged "kids" who can even play this well, much less compose, arrange and produce such as astounding piece of work. It wasn't long after this that Ale became the youngest Spector Bass Artist, and If you go to their website and click on "Artists" the first thing you see at the top of the page is 14yo Ale rocking out at their January 2019 appearance at the Whisky (2 months after Lunario).
This is one of my absolute favorite The Warning songs of all time I love everything about it! Going to see them live in February and god I wish I could hear all these songs live 😅 if only I discovered them sooner, but at least I have RUclips to enjoy them. Thank you for the reaction!
Sup neighbor, Gotta watch the whole show, and read up on the QOTMS album. 😮 Also, I've watched Dany on stage pretty close, I noticed that she doesn't fully bar her power chords, just the three strings. (I rarely fully bar my chords too 😂 I alternate between three fingers and two depending on the song). The piano is a backing track. 😉
She sings in this record. Dust to Dust is one. Sinister Smiles, and The End come to mind off there. They are worth the listen. Whole record is! What a story!🤘
This is the release show for their second album Queen of the Murder Scene. They played the album front to back and it has multiple songs where Pau sings lead. I really like this show. Probably the best for early years. Definitely recommend watching the whole thing
In my 60 plus years of listening to rock music, I can't recall any performer who comes close to Dany''s combination of powerful vocals, powercord wizardry, stage presence and emotional interpretation of the lyrics.
QOTMS was their punk/goth/angst years. Not complex, but deep beyond their years in a lot of ways. They're influencing new artists all the time, which I think is the true mark of greatness. Screw awards. Let's see how the people coming into the industry see you, and those that have risen to the top view you. So far, they are on top and still rising. ❤️⚡🤘
They themselves consider this to be one of their most underrated songs by their fandom, along with The Sacrifice. I'd like to hear them both again sometime, because obviously the voice of the 18 year old Dany and the one of today have nothing to do with each other. Maybe someday... PS: the intro is one of the most beautiful things in their whole repertoire.
one of my favs from them. The fact that the subject matter is so well described for their age is incredible. If it was written by an older person I would get it. Great expressive song!
Crimson Queen from this concert is worth a look. It is one of Dany's best vocal performances. There is another concert at Foro Didio where the guitar pickup didn't work and she sings acapella until halfway through the song when bass and drums come in. Extremely powerful performance.
What a great song. Please react The End. Actually a lot of the songs from the Queen Of The Murder Scene album are quite complex. They all are trained on classical panio. Paulina is playing the backing track with the Panio on this song.
If you do this concert from start to finish in order the story line is amazing, Dany is 100% in character. Very cool but almost impossible to believe they came up with this as teenagers. it has been said hat people in the front row risked getting kicked by Ale!!
To make a reaction to Queen of The Murder Scene should be an epic journey, deeply immerging in the story itself litically... it's insane, the deepness of the tematic, written at that age! All the album has a 80/90 Old Classic Rock vibes with metal sounds, here and there in the songs! Think about it!
It's funny that you mention Ale's bass sound. This approach to mixing music is very characteristic of Hispanic culture; in Latin music, the bass is brought to the forefront, even in rock. One of my pet peeves with many rock bands from the U.S. is that the bass often gets buried in the mix, treated like a secondary instrument instead of being highlighted where it belongs. Thanks for pointing that out!
Great reaction, but I'm disappointed someone recommend a song from the middle of this story. You should react to the whole Queen of the Murder Scene album live at Lunario. It's a whole story from start to finish and The One is the 4th song out of 13.
4:38 Pau is singing backing vocals on this one; offhand, of the songs on QOTMS, the only songs that I’m 100% sure that she sings lead on are the first and last - “Dust to Dust” and “The End (Stars Always Seem to Fade).” I’m just waiting for you to react to “P.S.Y.C.H.O.T.I.C.”
Pau played the piano on the track, but all three studied classical piano. This entire album is great, but to consider the fact it was written and performed by children is mind boggling.
I believe Dany is 18 here and Pau is 16 and Ale 13. I would like to see you do "Queen of The Murder Scene" from Teatro Metropolitan. It is from the same album as this one. There is a keyboard on stage and they do use it during this show, but that is a backing track for this song.
I have heard that Pau played the recorded backtrack piano parts, which is interesting because Pau and Dany say Ale is the best pianist of the 3 of them.
All the QOTMS songs from LUNARIO CDMX concert are best if done in concert chronology, since they're part of a concept album saga, thus, the songs will have a better lyrical context impact; as pertaining to the story. (Just something to consider.) The story is a masterpiece and following it in order is must, imho. Either way - all the songs on their own - separate from the story are frickin awesome too. 👊⚡️🤘
I don't see how this is simple. Oh, it has a simpler sound, lack of layering and such. When you look at it though; between the cord changes, syncopated bass line, song structure changes, and the piano overlay, it's still not easy, and certainly not something you'd expect to hear from teens. 🤘⚡️
Also I don't know who laid down the piano track but my guess would be Pau, though as a real The Warning nerd, the emphasis of the piano riff sounds more like how Dany would play it.
yea no way could i pick the current TW over the 2017 - 2020 TW, they both just too dang good, TW in character mode like at lunarios or even dakota bar is like nothing else i've seen, Pepsi Center yes yes indeed prob the best sounding show ive heard on here but watching them grow up melting reactors faces is priceless and addictive, for greed purposes i wish i coulda froze them in time and got a few more albums back then. Queen of the Murder Scene, one of the best albums ever. It is just as good or better than Tommy or The Wall when you compare song for song. And yes, I was alive when Tommy came out. This album could easily be made into a movie. albeit a dark one. You should do this concert in order to make it even more impressive.
IMHO, this was their peak in composition. The new stuff is musically simpler, it just has more going on sonically with affects and driving home thr Riff/Hook. Singing is now stronger, but they are locked in with co-writers and producers of big label industry production. No shade. Just sayin'
The whole idea that they could write and compose a whole concept album of this quality, as young teenagers, is still mind-boggling to me. 😎👍
