jump force's prequel called "j stars victory vs" is actually incredible! it has a great roster with a lot of variety, clunky but FUN gameplay and a banger opening intro. it is overall a really good and fun game that i highly recommend!
Victory VS arguably has the better rooster since it features a lot of unique characters instead of using the same templates on multiple chars
Also i'm biased with my love for Tsuna ❤

Victory VS, although worse than Jump Ultimate Stars it's prequel, is WAY way better than Jump Force.
That game has actual character specific combos and team combos, and shit. Pretty technical.
Plus, actual custom BGM you can just....put your playlist.
I actually enjoyed that game
Genuinely insane to think Jump Force and Sparking Zero are made by the same team
(I ain't saying it's a bad thing, I actually liked jump force, so tbh it's making me more hyped to see the glow up)

I swear, jump force is genuinely fun until you meet the super sweaty playerbase that spams the best moves and uses cheese to win
Same thing as mortal kombat spammers just gotta learn to counter or do the same
(I wouldn't let anyone charge just keep rushing them and they can't spam supers)

There is something impressive when Jack didnt see Boa blocking his attacks as Sasuke

I miss this game I don't care about how bad it was or trash but having blue Goku and stuff was cool in 2019 I loved this game I had fun and online with this there is so much character to be added in
For Goku and Vegeta, if you use their ultimates while a super saiyan, you go super saiyan blue

It's ass the balancing was nonexistent it took over a year for them to add a rematch button (yes it did not have a rematch button at launch) the story is ridiculously bad and by bad I mean boring
The loading times for everything we're plain horrible
So yeah pretty much everything outside of the characters were trash in every perspective
The story was kinda interesting, I did like the Light plot that was going on in the game, I really like how Aizen was able to see Ryuk. I was hoping they added Light as a character somehow but sadly it never happened. I liked the Final boss who had kinda extreme version of Alchemy (the looks of his moves) and i did like Kane, an original character created by Akira Toriyama. The Lore was and still is very intriguing to me.
For me the weirdest part is the art direction of trying a more "realistic" approach to the rendering but insist on having the artstyle of each franchise intact. It's uncanny. I wish they stick to anime aesthetic so it can mask the bad model/animation. Not to mention, the motion capture is so bad because they don't adjust the proportion of the rig, so like Goku or Blackbeard looks broken when moving.

They lost licenses for some characters and had to shut the game down. Even with all that the game went through it was still one of the best selling anime games right up there with storm 4 and fighterz.
16:10 you can actually just crack a full version of the game, its simply a .exe file so no emulators or anything needed, and it comes with the full base game AND DLC. would love to see you play it jack!

I love that when I first watch Jack he wasn’t even familiar with Dragon Ball Z that much. Now he’s like such a huge fan and it’s like so adorable
People who say its unbalanced didnt know how to play because pretty much everything was counterable.
Counter super spamming, with the rush smash teleport or character switch rushing.
Counter guard break, by letting go of block and sidestepping.
The one actual annoying thing(hard to counter) is aizen and that black box.
It’s crazy. I remember when the trailer for this game dropped. No one knew what it was or expected it. But then Goku appeared, so people were like oh it’s a Dragon Ball game 😂. Then Naruto and Luffy appeared, and people were like WHAAAAA!?
I have like 600 hours in Jump Force. Mind you its not a polished game at all, but the roster is just so fun to play around with. I love just playing against the ai in fun matchups with my fav characters. Considering how bad the game is, it's definitely a guilty pleasure of mine

Every crew has 1 smart person on the team lol. Goku has Piccolo, Naruto has Kakashi, and Luffy has Sanji
When I was in college we had tournaments on our floor playing this game. I was top of the heap for a while there. Was great fun

My experience with Jump Force is pretty much only couch VS and I gotta say, me and my friends had a LOT of fun playing against each other for hours
You should react to all of the Ultimate moves. This games has its flaws, but when it worked it was really fun to see.
I find it sad this game died, it was actually pretty fun. Yea the balancing was not the best and the story was mid but that’s pretty much the only complaints I had. Though that didn’t matter since at the end of the day everyone was just focused on the models and how “ugly” they were. People were just straight up hellbent on hating the visual part of the game. If the devs would have chosen a more classic anime style like most other anime games, it would have gotten WAY less hate. People would still have complained about other issues but it would not have been nearly as bad.
Exactly this. The game is not great by any means, but the amount of hate it gets is overblown.A lot of mid anime games get a pass provided they look anime and I think it is obvious that the look of this game is what causes people to be harsher.

Seiya and Shiryu are from Saint Seiya (Knights of the Zodiac). That was THE shounen hotness before Dragon Ball rolled up and is still MAJOR in Hispanic countries.

there is a bar around your character, if u press RS or use your ult as Vegeta or Goku when this bar its on 50% you go SS. and if use this again or when its 100% you go SSB. some characters like naruto can also use transformations

I got this when it came out and all the DLC for PS4. I love this game! But the game failed because it was running concurrently with Xenoverse 2 and the monster it was until DB FIghterZ
The game looked and felt good when playing, they truly cared about the online experience as they tried to listen and patched as much as they could.
However! The game had issues, armored attacks, broken characters, special abilities being plus on block, the vanishing guard break, insanely quick assist refill time, terrible story mode, janky animations, and so on, the online was as frustrating as Storm 4 and connections.
The game did not fail, it sold a lot of copies and DLCs did well.... the reason it got removed is due to licensing issues, just like J-Stars Victory VS+ and other anime crossover games.
This game could have been the best, but I guess the issue is that people wanted it to be competitive (understandable) but the devs themselves said the game is just supposed to "look cool" it was just a visual casual spectacle.
I personally enjoyed the fighting despite its hiccups, but everything else about the game was terrible.

The game could have been so much more but felt underdeveloped. Feel like the game had a bias toward dragon ball(love dragon ball btw) by adding so many of their characters. Also, story mode is trash and the dialogues between the characters felt lazy. We could have gotten much cooler dialogues toward characters we would want to meet
One of my favorite features in this game was the ability to transform Goku (and Vegeta I think) into either Super Saiyan or SS Blue depending on how full your awakening meter was, and I’m not even a big DBZ fan like that.
Why the game failed was spam, abilities having super armor and infinite block. You'd have to center your playstyle around countering abilities because spamming had no downside to it and 90% of people would do it; abilities couldn't be interrupted so they had to be blocked. Also, block made no sense as it only broke with a charged attack so you could essentially block infinitely and run away if you wanted to. Supports made it extremely difficult frustrating and approaching these kinds of players.
I generally love this game but sad I didn’t get the 2nd dlc pack
This game was so fun to play bwck then, such a shame it lost its support if they fixed its issues it could have probably been bigger

Edit: Online is one heck of an experience. Definitely not for the faint of heart, coming from a player with over 6,000 hours as of writing this, you'll want some practice with your mains before getting your hands dirty. xD

Bro if I’m being honest Jump Force isn’t even that bad. Like sure the story isn’t the best but to be honest 3v3 matches are actually fun. And the game mechanics are easy (to me) to get use to. Sure the power scaling is true. But clearly they can’t just make a crossover game without verse equalization. Also the game is really hype especially when it’s a close match.
But you cant beat hisoka with luffy! His bungee gum has the properties of both rubber AND gum!

I feel jump. Force had a really good story. The thought of it was really cool could’ve brought in so much more characters.
The story mode is bad but the multiplayer fighting is really fun
I loved this game so much I was so sad when it got shut down. I even bought some dlc and still play it just for fun. Game could’ve been the best if it fixed the balancing and added more iconic characters

Everytime I watch jack the bus play a game that has custom charecter I always play a game with myself can he make a good looking character. Then not only I lose every time but somehow I'm surprised on how he can make his character worse the previous one. I'm genuinely surprised he can make ugly looking character consistently it's amazing.

I love this game and it is worth playing, people just hate this game for no reason, this game literally made me leave my anxiety and people still hate it have never seen a game so realist and replayable. Easily the best anime game i've ever played, like idk why people just straight up hate this game or try to say this game is bad without TRUE hate
Games not nearly as bad as people pretend. Its just a button mashy areana fighter, not really mean for any kind of competitive play. I still prefer J-Stars over it tho
