Harrison Ford created two myths: Indiana Jones and Han Solo. Few actors can say they did the same!

My favorite shot from kingdom of the crystal skull is when he picks up his hat and you just see his silhouette when he puts it back on.

That was moving, though I do like the new film, I can understand people’s disappointment in seeing Indy become a shadow of who he was.

Indiana Jones and the Monkey King
In 1985, Columbus wrote a script for a third Indiana Jones film entitled Indiana Jones and the Monkey King. Columbus' script included Indy taking a trip with his assistant Betsy to a secret city protected by soldier gorillas and governed by the evil Monkey King. According to Columbus, the script was written so that the story didn't appear too similar to the previous film Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. However, at the end, Columbus' script was rejected and the film was finally released in 1989 under the title Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade and directed by Steven Spielberg. In 2017, Columbus' script was adapted into a five-part live reading/audio drama on the Alcohollywood podcast.

Percy Jackson has been played by Walker Scobell and Logan Lerman on screen, Spider-Man by Tom Holland, Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire, Willy Wonka by Timothée Chalamet, Gene Wilder and Johnny Depp, but Indiana Jones is unique knowing he has been played by none other than Harrison Ford, and I want to keep it that way. No other actor can play this legend.

Yes, you're right. I think "Dial of destiny" is nice. Not excellent, but nice. Didn't deserve such a smash after Cannes.
@@Pawel_Mozolewski the opening just needed Spielberg, it was missing that camera framing and pacing.. but the third act absolutely delivers. it doesn't deserve what it's getting, certainly not compared to the laud MI7 is getting which was good but not great as well. they're similar movies.

What are your opinions on Dial of Destiny. I personally enjoyed it.
I enjoyed it too, but it lacked Spielberg magic and fluence, especially in action scenes. Harrison Ford is great tough, and he should win some award for his committment to this role, as a 80 yo.

Ich bin ein alter Fan. Indy lebt, da ist er besser dran als Han. Wenn ich "Harrison" noch mal beim Sterben hätte zusehen sollen, dann wäre ich nicht ins Kino gegangen. Nun gut, ich trauerte schon vorher um Mutt.
All die wunderbaren Bezüge zu den anderen 4 Teilen, die Musik von John Williams, Marion, seine Patentochter 😂 ... die stillen Momente, ich bin 3x zufrieden und glücklich aus dem Kino gegangen.
