I’ve had my Max for over a year, run it each weekend, so put around 110 packs through it as I have two sets . I run mine hard, with only a few breaks considering. I did put a hobbywing esc though as the stock generally fails....I got a good price so replaced before it failed. Yes, the Xmaxx is expensive.... but to be honest, I think it has actually saved me money in the long run as I have liked it so much that I have not had the desire to buy anything else since I got it. I also have really upgraded much except the esc . Stock is just fine! Even the tires are good. Tread is almost worn down completely ( great for power slides now) I’m no Traxxas fan boy, but I would recommend this rig !

Yeah after my RC retirement of 15years I bought a Losi Baja Rey 1/10 king shocks and loved it to pieces (literally 😐) and bought another to build as a showy parts shelf queen. Then bought myself the Mojave for bashing and then another green V2 rtr version with over $900 in aluminum and carbon fiber hop ups to create another show truck to stare at after bashing it's twin brother. I am now certainly over the shock😱 of how much this hobby cost. So just like you it's time to go to the top of the mountain with the Xmaxx in Orange of course 😁🤙🍻
Enjoyed this video and I sure like my X-Maxx too! Big and bad. I still run mine on stock gearing and it's a beast. I try to keep mine in close proximity, but it's hard LOL! Your paint job is awesome looking! I messed the back of my stock body up from tumbles and such so I got a Russian Unbreakable body in silver color. Looks cool with window stickers and some new X-Maxx stickers off Ebay. I still run stock ESC and motor too. Have had great luck. Have lasted through a couple diff tear downs and trying different weight fluids. Keep making the vids bro!!!
One of the most supported parts Rig out there I gotta say. Durable for it's size. Tons of speed on stock system. Massive size! 8th scale trucks is a Sweet Spot for the kind of driving that I do and like. But I'm no alien when it comes to Big Rigs. Everyone should have one on their fleet. It is certainly not perfect - needs an ESC, needs an unbreakable body, rear hub bearings are junk... But I still highly recommend it depending on how and where someone will run it! Just found your channel - Subscribed!
I have a Kraken VEKTA.5.. The X-maxx is an absolute bargain! lol I got an X-maxx cause I was airing out my VEKTA too much and it's like throwing 50 dollar bills in the air with any bad landing. The X-maxx, is much cheaper to bash up. WARNING: DON'T Get into RC unless you are prepared to fix stuff and fix stuff often.
I mean it really depends, to me I believe it's worth it! It does 55-60mph with the high gearing 22T/46 spur...ive done a few runs already with it in straight aways but don't have GPS. I may get one soon though, when i do, MOST DEFINITELY👊👊👍🙏
Hi buddy I would definitely suggest buying one.. i have brought one recently, I love it.. its fast got loads of torque.. I'm running 18/46 and that's fast enough to be honest its built for bashing. I have an arrma outcast.and typhon But this is my favourite Rc at mo.. if you want a rc for speed I suggest something differentl like a trax slash. They are fast as f**k twigged up..

I'm curious. I've been eyeing an XMAXX for a couple months now. After having it for some time now other then price do you have any other cons? I See several people wanting to sell their XMaxx shortly after purchasing. Some seem frustrated while others may be selling out of necessity. Your input is appreciated. How has it held up over time?
It's held up great and tough as nails. Pretty much my favorite RC hands down. The biggest con and pro IMO is the size/weight/jumping ability. To each their own. Some hate it, others love it. I love it! ....so it's not as easy to control in the air as the ARRMA kraton of course. But it's a MT not truggy so it drives that way for a reason. It does break, but tons of upgrades and it's so satisfying to do them. To others it's like a nuisance, so you can see how perspectives can change....also now with the 5th-7th scale lineups arrmas releasing, that may be a big reason people are selling their XMAXX's...I'LL NEVER SELL MINE💯🔥. ...thanks for valuing my input. Expensive battery technology for it.Lipo not the way forward.You need quick charge around of about 10 minutes on 6 and 8 cell at 5000 mah rate.And low cost battery of about $30 each instead of $100 each.

I paid $900 for my xmaxx and i thought that was a good price for it especially for what it is right out of the box. I normally run 2 stroke 1/5 scale and i've paid up to $1500 for a rig befor so to me $900 wasnt that bad of a price for it. I think paying $100 for a better esc is worth way more then spending a ton of money on upgrades cuz with the xmaxx you really dont need to upgrade anything.
Got mine since December 2019 and problems already occurred, original servo replaced it with 2x 2085X died after a week no bashing now don’t know where the problem comes from, differential very poor quality!
Its all on the user sure some people get a "bad one" this is why traxxas have a warranty department, peoples trucks last longer when for example you maintain it regularly, the bearings can seize quickly if you dont, also though it is a truck that begs to be abused and this is when all the "weaknesses" float to the service & upgrading is a reality of that.
proline trenchers fix the sluggishness in the air, geared ~20/50 the are not good on the road though. they also demand more out of the servo, the 2085X seems to be just enough, once you stiffen the saver i havent found much on youtube to show their ability so i made one. ruclips.net/video/IvcwSza4RCA/видео.html the reason why people go to the hobbywing max systems is cause overtime the stock ESC WILL fail... ps liked and subbed to you
ok traxxas could make the ESC better, could make the the steering servo better, could lower it more to the ground with different tyres to improve handling turning it into a Truggy to shut all the arma kraton owners up & call it the traxxas twaxx abuse version.

They're TRX to dean's adapters. But i wouldn't recommend them because they're really loose...especially if your gonna jump or bash hard
