A Maus is a giant cartoon robot that squishy humans crawl around inside and never get out of again, while a PzH 2000 is a comfy rolling shack where soldiers have their coffee while plotting to blow stuff up in the next state.
Well the fire rate on the PzH2000 is a bit tricky, since it was conceptualised for 6 round mrsi bursts. officially it is 6 rounds in 20 seconds (actually however fast you can load the thing), 10 rounds/minute for up to two minutes of ongoing fire, 8 rounds/minute for up to 3 minutes, or 3 rounds/minute for continuous fire. Superceeding these fire rates comes with the risk of overheating/melting the barrel. But these are only the public numbers.
This is great. A: it's my B'Day (yay I'm getting old) B: The PzH2000 is my favourite vehicle this update C: I just love how Stick still hates on the Mauses, even though they won't harm anybody
What I love about these guys is that while in reality they are an elite team, they still manage to occasionally come across as a collection of confused locals recently released from the county jail for disturbing the peace!

To everyone saying the pzh2000 looks like a modern maus your correct. This is because after the fall of the soviet union the maus Russia captured and an old Object 120 had a baby and migrated to Germany. That baby was the Pzh2000. Said this last night on discord playing WT and got lots of confused laughter.
Ayyyy if you want a laugh about the shell velocities changing, it's because they cheaped out on the shells it had.... they literally copy-pasted them from the M44 Howitzer into the PzH.......... for reference (before buffing yesterday) PzH 2000 stock shell M107 563m/s M44 stock shell M107 563m/s (for reference of how utterly nonsensical that velocity was) M109G (shortbarrel) stock shell 684m/s yes.... a shortbarrel M109G had 20% more velocity than a 155mm 52 caliber (28-foot) barrel artillery piece. (also fun fact; with the buff its shells got, the rank 4 mod is now literally useless lmao.... it's now SLOWER than the M107 round it gets stock (M107 is now 945m/s vs 155 OE F3 doing 935m/s)
I actually really dislike having so many Maus's in a team. It just means the enemies are getting all the caps while the Maus players aren't even out of spawn yet.
This thing gets Autoloader, LRF AND Stabilizer on 7.7. While the sholef still only has the Autoloader. Gaijin really either regrets making the sholef or really doesn't care at all anymore.
it isn't a fully stabilized gun... I dearly wish it was. it's more of an "can elevate so fast that it's basically stabilized" situation as it driving above 20kph makes moving shots very hard/impossible

However I played some time now on this tier and imo 7.7 is far to low for this one. It literally is too powerful and with this range it just kills everything at any distance with ease. It should be bumped up at least on 8.3 since these things are just dominating the battlefield on 7.7 right now.
The funniest thing is you think they care, they think that the centurion mk 10 is a better tank then this overpowered no skill howitzer, the 2000 being 7.7 and the centurion mk 10 being 8.0 with worse EVERYTHING.
Unfortunately Gaijin messed it up. 10 seconds for reload is BS when IRL it reloads in 6 seconds and has a 3 round salvo mode which launches 3 rounds in 9 seconds.
I've seen from a youtuber(I forget wich one) the time fuse when set to impact is seemingly a good bit less effective than a regular he They tested that in protection analasis. I think thats a bug. If true I think bringing normal he is still usefull until they patch that.
The frustrating things about the shell fuze switching mechanic is it was only for ground, not for naval, being able to disable airbursting on timed fuse shells would be incredibly useful for defending against PT boat torpedo runs
@The_Zuit I found the training manual for the US 5 inch/38 gun (the most relevant weapon) online, and basically there was no physical station in the ammunition train system of US wartime destroyers to switch between fuses (it's unclear if this was even doable in the ship's magazine).
@@petergray2712 proxy fuses work fine against ships, they don't air burst like they do against tanks, it's just timed fuzes which are set right before firing that would be beneficial to disable

Irl the 8.8 cm Flak ammo couldn't swap between timed and impact fuses in an instantaneous manner, as rhey had to be physically unscrewed and replaced. But they had to make it more playable. The US 5 inch AAC Mk.32 had both a time fuse and a base detonation fuse. If used against surface targets the time fuse would be set to safe in the fuse pot, and the base detonation fuse would explode on impact. But as I don't play naval I'm assuming this round doesn't work as an AA round (AAC is abbreviation for "Anti-Aircraft Common.")
I feel like another change might be inbound for the m107 round. Its by too big a margin the fastest version out there. I would guess that in time it gets the velocity found on the vidar as its the most comparable also sharing the 155 mm OE F3 round which is supposed to be the high velocity round compared to m107
And they still think that something like this belongs at 7.7, the idea that BR balances tanks is a lie. The entire 8.0 line up for Britain is worse than this thing.
Idk if this is still the case or if it's been fixed, but ik that when the proxy toggle was first added, a bunch of proxy shells were just worse than they should be. Like you could go into a test drive, fire M107 point blank, kill em. Switch to the proxy M107, which aside from proxy should be identical, fire in the exact same spot, and it doesn't kill
Unrelated I notice that new tor aa system seems almost broken when it come to takin out the crew. It you don't hit the hull it don't matter how many rockets or amgs u hit it with. Looks like it could be fun
The reload is so weird, I was 50 sp from a nuke when it had the 13 second reload, the I didn't pay attention to the reload buff and had another incredible game when it was 5 seconds, then it was changed again(?) so only the first 3-4 shots are 5 second reload but every shot after is 7.5? Oh and the velocity change? yeah now there's no reason to take out the OE F3 because its just slower and less explosive mass, it's definitely like the definitely had complete and ready vehicles for this update lmfao

I watched Dollar talk about this thing. The thing can get the first 2 -3 rounds send within 8 seconds. So now there is a staggered reload. 1st 2 - 3 rounds, 5 seconds and the remainder looses HE babies at a rate of about 7.5 seconds I think Or something like that. Apparently it is also missing a heap of composite armour.

I wonder why War Thunder doesn't have any actual artillery mode? Like maybe add targets like they have for bombers and ground-attackers in air battles? It would add an interesting new game-mechanic with AI AT guns and artillery that have to be knocked out before the tanks can push in and deal with other targets. Or maybe the artillery can be used to soften up AA positions first to clear a way for the airforce? It would also add some depth and open the way for things like recon planes

It clearly isn't stabilized when you watch the video, although it says STAB in the bottom left corner, but it does have a very stable chasis.

It might just be a feature for modern VT rounds. WW2 ships didn't have that fuzing option for a variety of technical reasons.
