THANK YOU SO MUCH. I am altering wedding dress for friends' daughter and thought I knew how to do the bustle. But it is double layer illusion train as well as 2 layers of underskirt which needs bustle too. SO YOU HAVE BEEN A TOTAL LEGEND. Couldn't have done this with out you. Elisa ( from Australia)
Thanks so much. I just bustled my granddaughters wedding gown and it was a heavy skirt. Be sure to say that you had to add the hooks etc yourself. This had nothing except the loop on the innermost layer. Thanks for sharing!!
I didn't like the style of bustle offered at the alteration place and I found your video and this is perfect. THANK YOU I will be altering my dress this weekend.
You can do it one of two ways! Sometimes, I like to separate the layers by bustling the heavy underlayers as an under bustle underneath. Then, I will take the softer layers and do an over bustle to create a softer flow. The other way, is you can bustle all the layers together but that can create a heavier look depending on the style of dress.

Your explanation is soooo awesome.
What hooks do you use?
Does this apply to all wedding dresses? Do all tailors put those loops/hooks like that?
Awesome job, ladies. Very helpful and informative. Thank you!
Excellent job.
What about other dress didn’t do that one x
Thank you for sharing! Just saved my life!
What are you using for the loops?
How do you find the perfect pick up points on a tulle ballroom bustle?
Thank you.
Thank you very much, Ladies! Just what I need for my long tulle train!
Did you stitch all the tulle layers together when you added the stitch?
