My brother committed suicide 43 years ago. My son is 8 months clean from drugs. What you are doing to raise awareness ( and laughter! ) about men’s health illustrates all the heart there is. I adore you both and thank you from the bottom of my heart.
I understand…my father committed suicide in the early 80’s (I’m 63) he was an alcoholic and had been discharged from the Marines due to “acute anxiety”, which I’ve always thought was the early way to say PTSD. My son also got involved in drugs and had to go to prison for a couple of years. At least my son finally got some help and is out and doing well!
It is so rare to find men who in addition to their attractiveness, have a good work ethic, have integrity, honesty, compassion, a good moral compass and terrific senses of humor. I, personally, have never met a man of quality like yourselves. I'm sending my deepest respect and love to you both. I pray you are both insanely successful in all areas of your life with good health and happiness in concert with it. Also Dan, "BRAVO" , for giving your sons such a shining example of manhood. God bless you, including Annaliese, Natalie, and the boys too.
What a BRILLIANT vlog! Not just the fun at the beginning, but the whole talking about the problems. I am a terminal prostate cancer patient, just about to head off to Paris for clinical trials. SO MUCH positivity and strength to your campaign. I promise to donate this weekend. Keep it going and never give up, a motto I try to live my life by, everyday.
My husband is a US Vietnam War Vet. Has survived prostate cancer heart failure now neuropathy . He was a former athlete. I am his psych. I love him no matter what. Love your friendship and the video is spectacular!
You two are such great friends, it is very moving to witness 🙏❤️ My dad, 79, was very depressed and didn't want to go on. He committed a very slow and long suicide and all I could do, was support his decision. It was heart wrenching to witness him wither away. He was beyond help sadly and earlier in his life, he didn't know how to reach out to anyone or to get tools to handle his life circumstances. His friend was the bottle... Thank you for raising awareness to men's health. In all their facets ❤️🙏
I lost a close male friend to suicide in May, and a male relative in September. I appreciate you guys doing this and encouraging men to help each other (and themselves). Happy to have donated to the cause.
Dan and Amuary two blokes who have a heart in the right place. Thank you from a cancer survivor and for bringing this wonderful charity to our notice. I hope you hit your target God bless you both.
Hi Guys. Even though this is a very serious subject, you are so funny working together to bring awareness of male problems. I will be donating this year. Prostrate cancer especially in the area I live is prevalent. Thank you, both of you for being great guys. Xx
This was the best that I have seen all year on RUclips. We are so blessed to have men like you living on the face of this troubled planet. My son is now going through an episode of severe depression that scared the daylight out of me. It's is the most painful thing for a parent to see the suffering that a human being goes through when mentally or emotionally drained, and for them to feel hopeless. In turn, those around them may feel helpless and afraid. But we must at all costs avoid feeling helpless or afraid, we must be proactive and turn every stone possible because there is help and hope for those suffering from these illnesses. The problem is doing nothing which is totally unacceptable. I have been following both of you since you started posting on RUclips and admire the tenacity and the willingness that you both have in the face of hard work. Thank you both for showing us that there is joy and satisfaction in being productive and on top of that developing a platform from which you are now doing such great encouraging videos for the health of men. God bless both of you, I'm already blessed for having met you through this media. 🙏 Stay golden!
@PDQ Thank you. I had forgotten about this post, and I'm grateful for people like you that take the time to support people like me. Yes, my son is doing better and receiving the meds and psychological support that he needs. Have a great life.
I’m so sorry for your loss. We are still in the depths of it. We lost my bother on August 6th. He was only 41 and left behind his wife and 5 kids. We were absolutely blindsided.
Thank you for supporting suicide prevention specifically. I lost my husband to suicide when we were 36 years old. I joined a grassroots, suicide prevention organization in the US, in an effort to raise awareness and to urge our law makers to pass legislation to support suicide prevention programs. Love you guys for all you do!❤
I also, lost my dad, father-in-law and a close friend to suicide. Although it was many years ago, I regret not pushing a little harder to find out how they were feeling. I wish information on how to address someone about this issue 45 years ago. 😢
A great initiative guys, well done. I’m 6’4” ex-British forces and a retired cop and 29 years ago I had a breakdown after being involved in a serious incident at work. It took a while but through talking to people and seeking psychiatric treatment (there I said it!), I emerged stronger. Through initiatives like these, you’re breaking down the macho culture that will help many more men get the help they need, easier, earlier and hopefully reducing the numbers of those that slip through the net. 👏👏👏
You should be so proud of yourself for getting through all that has come before you and come through the other side. Keep being Strong and Positive and you'll be able to carry on and help other guys get through to be better and stronger too. 😊😊😊
Thank you Dan and Amaury for raising awareness again and I’m sure a huge amount of money for the deserving charities. We are currently spending 10 hours a day at our local hospice with my father in law as he heads towards his final journey home. My husband is quite shy and doesn’t talk about his feelings, even to me never mind anyone else and his older brother is even worse as he’s single! We lost Mum in 2014 and they struggled then. One of my biggest gripes especially the British, we don’t talk about death or grief and because it’s a taboo subject we don’t learn about the process of death or grief and so people end up in pieces or having breakdowns. It’s so daft, no matter who we are , young, old, rich or poor, we are all going to experience death including our own death at several points in our life. I dearly wish they would teach about death and grief right from primary school age. Maybe if we did that it might help and if it helped stop just one person from taking their own life then it would be worth it.
Yes, we so-called ‘developed nations’ have tended to allow people to separate themselves from the cycle of life, whether that is insulating us from the birth, death, physical and psychological illness and expressing emotions, ‘conquering’ nature and the value of close generational living and community. I don’t believe we are the better for it. We are losing the ability to gauge our emotions and to offer comfort to each other in meaningful ways. So thank you Dan and Amaury for your support of Movember and its charities as well as demonstrating that we all need to contribute to our community and fellow man and to offer support to each other through our journeys through life.
Sarah Yates, I totally understand and agree with you. One way to make conversation about death is to remind people that they might and will be in that situation ( whatever it is) then " people " will be able to express themselves, I know because it happened to me with my father. And then the planning began for that moment and nothing was left to chance. Prayers and blessings for you and the family 🙏.
A lot of people I know don’t like the way we Irish deal with death. Wakes, gathering around the corps, recounting stories, laughing, crying remembering and celebrating a person’s life. I think it is great and so helpful in the grieving process.
You're absolutely right Sarah about us not talking about death and grief. Kathryn Mannix has written a wonderful book about death you (and perhaps your family) may find interesting. I first listened to her on the Grief Cast podcast and have encouraged the older men in my family to listen to lots of episodes since.
You are both such empathetic and lovely guys sending a very important message of support to those who need it … thank you for raising awareness of male suicide rates and the funds to help lower it. You are both a blessing.
Well done Dan and Amaury. I would just like to say to everyone out there: tell a man today how much he is appreciated. Men don't get enough credit for their contributions to the world.
I love watching the two of you together. You have such a seemingly deep friendship. Guys that can have fun and be kooky, then turn around and be great men and fathers are a special breed.
You were both meant to be at Lalande at this time, you were both meant to meet one another and become friends, and you are both able to do what you are doing, which if it helps one person - it's worth it. Thank you to you both.
We have "R u OK " month in Australia, where the emphasis is on checking on your mates, family etc to ask if they are ok as a part of our suicide prevention. I think its great the effort you two guys are making and I wish you every success.
What a brilliant vlog. Humor is sometimes the best way to address serious issues and you guys nailed it. You can’t relate to singing along with a favorite song and losing someone to either cancer, mental health issues or other health issues. Bless you for doing this again and wishing even more success this year with the fund raising. 😍😘
Dan and Amaury, thank you both so much for bringing attention to this extremely serious issue and problem. I hope all your followers can share the word and if they can, also donate to his incredibly important cause
Love you both - you are a great benefit to this world! Thank you for the laughs AND for the support, encouragement and bringing attention to a very hard reality. I nearly lost my son... and after over 10 years the tears flow just thinking about it. He's still on this earth and living his best life because of the help he got and continues to get. Speak the truth! Love each other! And may you be doubly blessed in all you do!!
Dan and Amaury...a very entertaining skit leading to a very important message. Thank you both for helping to raise awareness and funds for a Charity doing such important (and much needed) work. Bravo!
You guys always brighten our day with your light hearted videos and your deep caring for others. Keep doing what your doing. You make a big difference in this world. 🎉❤
Great video and a great cause. My dad died of prostate cancer a few years ago so this is very close to my heart. Thank you both for making people aware, great job, well done.
Bravo! Two intelligent and handsome men opening their hearts (and facial hair) for a great cause. Cheers to you both being such a great representation of Real Men. Thank you for helping me (3X Divorced) reevaluate men in general. Again Bravo!
You two are such outstanding men in so many way. Keep up the good work and the brotherhood that you have created. In so many ways you are admirable. And your humor is infectious. Love you both.
Thank you Dan and Amaury for putting out these videos and raising awareness in a way that brings a smile! You are both so clever and creative! I will be donating.
This is just so important. Thank you for bringing light to this. I lost my brother on August 6th to suicide. We are all trying to cope with the aftermath. If we could make mental health a priority and make it "normal" to talk about maybe we can save someone else's brother.
Big smiles! A big THANK YOU and my deepest respect to you both! I bow down to your goofiness and am forever grateful that you care enough to be silly and yet serious about men's health!
My 78 year old hubby is a 15 year survivor of prostate cancer due to our medical here in Canada. I have donated here at home Bless you both ..keep it up..and the vlog is entertaining and a great reminder!
Two good looking guys are GREAT human beings! I have long admired both of you for your skills, talent, determination, and, of course your outstanding looks. And now I know you both are the best of humans! Thanks for what you are doing. I enjoyed the video!
I love you two together! You guys are good with the lip syncing too!!! What you're doing to help those men who really need it is amazing! We're all proud of you! God bless you all!
You 2 are adorable! Thank you for bringing awareness of men’s health to the forefront. My husband had prostrate cancer and is now cancer free. I have 2 good friends who were precancerous as well as a cousin. I can just imagine how many men are unaware of their condition. If your videos help save one life your hard work is worth the effort! Thanks guys 😘 (And Amaury, lung cancer is absolutely rampart among smokers, please consider quitting. Smoking killed my daddy! I’m just one woman and I know all these men affected by cancers/pre cancers much more than my women friends.)
Agree with you Julia that Amaury should consider quitting smoking, smoking can cause cancer anywhere in your body. Nowadays there are lots of tools to help you stop.
I was a Respiratory Therapist for 41 years. It broke my heart to see people ruin their lungs and their heart from smoking. It killed my dad, bladder cancer, and my brother, heart disease/aneurysms.
Loved the sing-a-long, need to see more of these, Steph with a hairbrush, Phillip with his cutlery and Kirstie with a trowel. Brilliant charity and cause too. Hope you raise loadsa money. 😆
It's a great thing you're doing. Men should never feel they cannot talk, or that they have nowhere to turn, or that they have to 'keep a stiff upper lip', it's wrong. And it's totally ok to cry. Keep up the good work guys ☺️❤️
Thank you guys. I lost my nephew, Michael to suicide four years ago at the age of 20. Forever marking our whole family! It touches everyone at some point unfortunately! Many prayers for you all! 😘🙏🏻 you are a great example for all men and the young men in your lives like Jack and Thomas and Antoine! 🥰
You guys are amazing, I love your inspiration and big hearts. You’re bringing light and funding to an important issue. It’s so true that one never knows what another’s path has been like and the tiniest kindness or insightful gesture can make all the difference. ❤❤
Thank you bringing awareness to men’s health my Dad died of prostate cancer. I was only 30years old my two sons never knew my beloved father. Men need to have annual check up. Thank you again for bringing this awareness ❤❤❤😊. Love from USA. Middle of America Great state of Kansas. Love watching your videos
I am just finishing 2 years of treatment for prostate cancer. Hopefully I am cancer free. I so appreciate all of your efforts. You are great men to do this. I will donate soon. Thanks.
Loved this and good luck with the donations. I lost a brother and cousin to suicide. I also lost both my grandfathers to prostrate cancer. I have a 7 and 3 years old grandsons and I have taught them from when they are young that they can talk about anything and they can cry and be sad.
EPIC song, singing, poses!! You guys rock!! Literally!! Bless you both for raising awareness, money and the need for openness to talk about tough subjects!! 🤗 Love from Mary in Southern California 💗
Lovely to see two cool dudes with big warm hearts... best combination - can't get any better. High time men start talking and open up and support each other in a very different, a new way... we love those so much more, don't we (says a woman ;-)))
You two aren't just good looking. You're wonderful human beings. Thank you for all the people you help through your fund raising.
Well said
I agree 👍
Exactly ❤❤❤❤
Totally agree. Thank you ❤️
Well said !

Congratulations to your son, that’s a really admirable achievement. Best wishes for future achievements too.
God help continue sober and far away this infernal addiction, very happy for you and your son 🙏🏻🥰👍

I’m sure you have shared this with you strong son. I think of his smiles and laughter while watching these weird loveable Englishmen.❤

Thank you guys for raising awareness. Today is one year since losing my sister, so I am in tears hearing the statistics, and thankful for this.
I’m so sorry for your loss. We are still in the depths of it. We lost my bother on August 6th. He was only 41 and left behind his wife and 5 kids. We were absolutely blindsided.

You are both such caring men. The world needs more leaders like you both.
Wonderful men! We women need such men like you to make this world better place to live! Thank you from the bottom of my heart! God bless you!
The Movember Brothers - hoping you raise twice as much this year. Awareness is key! Thank you Dan & Amaury!

Sorry for you and family as this is hard, am sure. No one can always know as often is is done so silently.
Need more people to spread the love. Thank you for helping people be more aware of men's issues.
Big smiles! A big THANK YOU and my deepest respect to you both! I bow down to your goofiness and am forever grateful that you care enough to be silly and yet serious about men's health!
Your both such good people. Bless your kind hearts.

Loved this and good luck with the donations. I lost a brother and cousin to suicide. I also lost both my grandfathers to prostrate cancer. I have a 7 and 3 years old grandsons and I have taught them from when they are young that they can talk about anything and they can cry and be sad.

Lovely to see two cool dudes with big warm hearts... best combination - can't get any better. High time men start talking and open up and support each other in a very different, a new way... we love those so much more, don't we (says a woman ;-)))
A new comic relief duo is born! Comic with an empathic heart. I'm proud of you guys. This is exactly what influencing should be like 👍👍👍👍
