Not bad for the final song of the night after about 2 hours of singing. Talk about leaving the audience on an energy high!
Not to mention the look on the conductor's face says it all!
(Contrary to popular belief, this was the last song that night, not Help!)

One night gigs, with a lot of travel and low fees, was what he was saying in one night stands. AC/DC may have meant what you thought, when they wrote it John didn't. Bon scott in an interview, said boyfriends tried to beat him up, regularly. Jealous 'cause their girls gushed over him. Earlier lead singer of AD/DC.

Woah mate this is over 30years ago, times were so different and John is very happily married to his wife for 50 years. It’s was just a simple kiss on the cheek don’t make more than what it was.. it was done a lot back in the 70s 80s etc before everyone got so nuts.. he’s our icon and a Legend here in Australia. So many hits you need to react too.. enjoy your drive into this phenomenal artist simply known as THE VOICE John Farnham!! 🧐😊🇦🇺

John is the greatest and most versatile male vocalist of all time. I love AC/DC but I’ve got to say I like John’s version better. So much energy and theatrics and with a full orchestra. John has seemingly unlimited vocal range and everyone on that stage is having an absolute ball. This was I think the 3rd encore after a 21/2 hour concert and they still have so much energy and John’s voice still epic.

What I would have given to attend one of his concert. Just like many other
Aussie talent RUclips brought him to light.

The woman was most likely a plant in the audience ( family friend / family). Same person in a couple of concerts . He has been happily married for about 50 years

How to take an iconic Aussie Rock song and make it even better....just give it a little twist of John Farnham ❤ throw in a symphony orchestra, some of the best backing Vocalists in Aus, a ripping good Farnham Band and the Voice himself.
That was so much fun. ❤❤

A One Night Stand is a gig at a location for one night ! Who hurt you ? This is about being on the Pub Circuit playing Rock & Roll and nothing else. It is an AC/DC song that John does.

Hi new subscriber from Australia 🇦🇺 John Farnham is a legend in Australia. I don’t think people from other countries understand how huge of a following
John has as well as cold chisel and Jimmy barnes.
John and cold chisel usually rate higher than other Australian bands like AC/DC and INXS.
Jimmy does a good duet with INXS called goodtimes and another duet with Tina Turner called ‘simply the best’ and of course his duet with john Farnham called ‘when something is wrong with my baby’
If you want to look at INXS it’s best to watch them live at Wembley.. they are phenomenal their lead singer Michael (RIP) is a excellent front man

Thanks for the reaction. John Farnham, is Aussie Music Royalty. He started in 1967 and was still performing into his 70s until Covid shut the country down. He won "King of Pop" 5 consecutive years 69 -73, then faded a bit in the late 70s (due to poor management). John is the only Australian artist to have a number-one record (album or single) in five consecutive decades. They put out a doco last year called "John Farnham - Finding The Voice" (that's what he is affectionately known as here "The Voice), he can sing anything and make it sound great. He has received the admiration of many international artists, such as Richard Marx, Celine Dion, Robbie Williams, Tom Jones, Freddie Mercury. Brian May, Sammy Davis Jnr, Ray Charles, just to name a few. I'll drop a link or two to give you a taste and warn you if you start reacting to John, the Aussie Army will flood your channel. LOL if you decide to go exploring, make sure you only watch "Live" performances, he loves his fans and they love him back, and always keep an eye out for his "mic & stand" tricks He is the most down to earth loveable person, humble, funny and extremely talented. He even was the frontman for LRB for a time in the early eighties. First the trailer...ruclips.net/video/LocCfc5PKrE/видео.html the next is one of the encores at the end of a 2+ hour concert 1986, a John Lennon number but John's version (JL heard it before he passed and said that was the way the song was meant to sound)...ruclips.net/video/dv54giOSRKs/видео.html 1994 "You'll Never Walk Alone" (while chewing gum LOL).. ruclips.net/video/dWTEesb7FrY/видео.html 1999 With Human Nature doing a Jackson Five number ruclips.net/video/AK9uhGmvo6U/видео.html 2000 ruclips.net/video/AK9uhGmvo6U/видео.html So many to choose from, hope you like them. 💞

How could you pull all.that noise together and make it soundlike fire? I'm obviously not an arranger

Not many people get the chance to do arrangements for a rock band with a symphony orchestra thrown in! The arranger/orchestrator was John’s music director David Hirschfelder, who played keyboards and keytar and accordion in John’s band.
He’s won two academy awards for movie scores since his John Farnham days. Brilliant musician!

@@rickandersen2284 I envy what you have done. I’ve only been to one rock concert and I’m so glad it was John Farnham! When I was at uni I had the opportunity to play in a backing orchestra for Bob Dylan, but I was a long way from home and wanted to be there for Christmas so one of the other bassists did it. I’d have loved to be behind the scenes for a concert or a recording.

You got everything wrong. At that stage he had been very happily married for about 15 years. Back then it was quite common to kiss people. The keytar thing was all part of the act.
