I mean Lumen isnt insane by any means. His hps is amazing but compared to other insane medics? Not by much.
@kyarumomochi5146 he has (iirc) the 3rd or 4th highest HPS with mod Y and basically removes the risk of status effects entirely
Lumen is "mid-high Gacha operator" strong, which kinda is insane for a welfare
@@Konpekikaminari I mean high HPS isnt that useful as it sounds. Arknights isnt much of a defensive orianted game and 99% of the content has 4 star medics being enough already on their own.
More offensive utility is always better, overhealing operators isnt much of a extreme trait. He is definitely not bad but nowhere the best welfare we have.
@@kyarumomochi5146 if we are talking about utility, he does remove statuses, the ability to do so from other ops is i dare say quite rare and is a very good utility when the enemy uses them.
is he the "best/strongest" welfare op? no. but he is a damn good medic, with similar healing and utility as other 6* gacha medics.
@@kyarumomochi5146Nowhere near the best? The only welfare I could see an argument for being better is Gladiia who's only full power in Abyssal Hunters. Some might say Kroos Alter but she's worse than many busted ranged units in the game. Lumen has a great niche that he's best at.
Brute forcing isnt enough for some bosses before they walk through you and into your goal zone. Sometimes you DO need stalling and sustain. Lumen having one of the highest hps in the game is very relevant. To argue Lumens healing isnt good is to argue against the entire existence of Medics.
Some Medics offer more than healing and Lumen is one of them. His anti status effect abilities are even more important than his healing. Some challenge stages FORCE brutal statuses on you. Status effect based stages are some of the hardest when you dont have an operator that counters it and no operator can cleanse status effects and heal like Lumen can.
Once you've a developed roster of generic powerhouse units you're looking for the strong operators that fill niches. Lumen has a niche that's common, hard to overcome without counters, and that he's irreplaceable at. The game isn't just "dont read or think just do more damage" despite the memes.
Who ever said that Lumen is weak? He's one of the best medics in the game. He's like the thorns version of a medic but also heals stuns, which is a real pain in the ass in missions where it happens.

@@sundoll3710 I always feel bad for the artist who lovingly drew the character and then the art just gets wasted on a bad kit. Just like Aroma in the new Babel Event in CN Server.

lessing is pretty bad too. on top of that, he's super boring.
i always liked vigil on release, yet his kit just doesnt cut it for later content. but he his cool so when i have space (and dont need my executors for emergencies) i put him in cos why not. lessing also might get the "pet operator" treatment with vigil once he comes to en

People underestimate Lessing S2 hard. Maxed Lessing has 2450 attacks with translate into 4900 because of double hit. For comparision Maxed S2 Nearl has 3854 attack. Which means until 1k def he outdps her.
If only he had Skadi faster redeploy... The more ops they release the more I believe Lumen is a happy accident more than anything.
But she has DEF ignore, so it’d be less than 1k
@@slonik0002 That's the point of the original commenter commenting, until 1000 def cause after a certain point her def ignore will beat out his raw damage, but until a certain threshold he does indeed do better damage

Vigil is an invaluable part of R.I. operations.

All of his trust is from being in that room, I have not leveled or deployed mine once, but he is great for clues.

I dont' recall seeing any1 calling Lumen bad, in fact Lumen is accepted as quite good healer from many people. I accept Lessing as bad tho, prob because im Nearl alter main (m9 lv 90 p1)

tbh I've been using Vigil a lot in Chapter 13, and Astgenne too
I've been having him solo-holding one lane (usually a low-pressure one, but also he really helps the bomb move along) while having Siege+Astgenne hold the one with the most blood slugs (it really helps because I've got Siege's SP-share module to help Vigil have even more uptime)
but, yeah, Vigil and Astgenne are really effective against these enemies for some reason.

Vigil was a real help to me in CC#11, holding the top spawn area for me while I could focus on the stronger enemies. Unfortunately he got easily overshadowed by Muelsyse when she came out. Having a multiblock summon with "extra lives" still has some good uses though. For example, like diverting the satellite cannon in Main Story Chapter 10, and the summon can still remain active since the blast can only take one of those "lives" which can then regenerate. Vigil clearly is not the best Vanguard as he is very niche, but he really isn't as bad or useless as people say he is.

Lumen is a really good medic though. He can still remove freeze, stun, bind and burn which is something Eyjaberry can't. Lumen trivializes Talulah and Yeti Frost stages. Saying that Eyjaberry powercrept Lumen is a bit of a stretch, because they do completely different things besides healing. Vigil on the other hand deserves to be here NGL.
Man i cant wait for vigil module as see how much the dmg reduction on the dogs is gonna affect all the possible uses for him , great clear as always keep it up 👌🏻
I have worked on the same map for days now, I nearly cleared it and got stumped by a single mastery in the end that had me leak 1 .... will post my clear once I get that mastery..... hopefully.
Lumen is undoubtedly good but ... This hunt has dragged on for too long.
Dude even had an in game counter to tell you that it took way too long. Just count how many times you heard the cringe that was "they have no way to advance"

Ive had Lumen tank hits that mudrock can take, then heal someone else, he certainly isnt weak!
Vigil is not bad as operator its just there is much better options than him, simple as
true, he just has an unfortunately underwhelming kit with better options, but definitely not as bad as pre-buffed passenger
If he didn't make me want to scream from how bafflingly off his entire kit works with itself, I'd agree with you. I rarely use him because his use cases require me to think of how and when to actually use him so he actually does his job properly, instead of floundering and accidentally leaking because his wolves died too fast and lost block count.
I still need to raise Lessing but I hope to use all of them. I've already been using Vigil more then expected in some harder content despite my main reason for originally raising him being for annihilations. Lessing I hope assists Lumen in making some bosses less annoying for me because of their niches.

Seriously, I'm waiting for Vigil second module, and it better be something cool, creative, and pretty strong. Something like Ebenholtz 3rd module, or Skadi 30 seconds less on redeploy. Like I so freakin' want to use more of this baby-gangsta.
But knowing my luck it's gonna be something like Hellagood 2nd module, or none at all.
Honestly I’ve had success using vigil on the chapter 12 maps he’s a 3 block vanguard. My problem is that his best skill is his S1 the other 2 don’t feel as viable
No idea about lessing. However, pretty sure lumen isn't weak imo.
Kinda hoping the tactician module will help vigil maybe give sp regen buff or his wolves get shelter
Tactician modules were added with Ascalon event. Base effect is 15% damage reduction for summons when they block enemies and talent upgrade is that wolves gain 50% physical dodge for 10 seconds everytime they die.
@januszpolak254 ah, i didn't see that, but that does help the survival when blocking quite a bit, but still not that great when hit by ranged arts

I’m not gonna say that Vigil is weak, exactly, but I do only use him in situations where I somehow need 2 tacticians and Muelsyse isn’t enough. (He is good for IS tho)

At release I actually saw negative reception for him but raised him anyways. Now of course you can't find anything about him being bad outside of "Versus Eyjaberry" stuff.
people are not playing him properly, simply skill issue. he's still a solid operator nevertheless

I only know of 4 healers in this game: Shining, Nightingale, Kal'sit and Lumen. So no, I don't think he is bad.
Ptilopsis is better than Nightingale in most stages. Ejya alter is better than everyone. I'm really sorry you don't have Reed Alter, she is really fun. Perfumer is fantastic for ops that cant be healed. Sussurro has quite possibly the strongest heal in the game. Warfarin has a great healing skill and one of the best atk buffs in the game.

@@Raptchur those are all great, sadly most of the time I don't need healers and when I do I literally just go with Shining and Nightingale AKA the Arts and Armor healers, like literally, just those two since launch, and with their modules amping their traits it's just over for any other healer to stand up from the bench at RI xD
Well, I do use my maxed Lumen when I'm doing Abyss Hunter squad clears.
Personal Opinion but Ejya Alter and Reed Alter get dwarfed by Kal'sit any day of the week, she is just that "Healer".

I think Silence Alter are the only recent Welfare that doesn't have the "bad welfare" syndrome i suppose
Gladiia wasn't amazing by six-star standards, only like above average with AH. As for Lumen, he's also average by six-star standards but by welfare standards he should be at least as good as Gladiia, if not then slightly lower in my opinion.
