    That's a lot of horses behind that boat. We have a keywest 225 bluewater with a 225 e tech and Wide open throttle is right on 50 mph. Love the e techs!

    It's pretty sad when a feller shows his amazing boat and engine for people like me who is about to buy a new boat with a 250 HO Evinrude, and all you see is idiots running their mouths and spewing about stuff they don't know anything about. Let's see YOUR boats people. His engine sounds fine, especially considering the facts he listed 20 times above and people still ask the same stupid questions thats been answered 20 times. Nice boat pal....VERY nice rig. ANY one should feel lucky to own this.

      Got a 2010 etec 200ho ran on tcw3 oil but been running pennzoil premium plus all summer long ran thousands of hours no hiccup ive notice from every manufacturer those who rarely use there motor are the ones having issues. Yukon is a tough rugged place to put a motor to its paces you got silt, tough currents, vasy range of weather changes. But when i fire up my etec i rest assure it will bring me home everytime. Theres a huge crowd of fourstroke here like 90% so that makes me part of the 10%. Running on a 20ft Alumaweld seadory rigged for commercial fishing and subsistence use.

    Those etecs are great motors but man they sure don't sound like the older 2 strokes like the Johnson gt and fast strike and rude xp and intruder. What would be really cool is if they brought the 2 stroke v8 back.

    • @exoticcreature3059
      @exoticcreature3059 8 лет назад

      Never heard of them. Who made 2 stroke V8 outboards?

    • @mattbrattensborg7785
      @mattbrattensborg7785 8 лет назад

      +Bone Drone Omc. They were Johnson and Evinrude motors

    • @exoticcreature3059
      @exoticcreature3059 8 лет назад

      Matt Brattensborg I don't know all my history with outboards. But thanks for reminding me. I do remember seeing some videos of those V8 outboards in action. They were huge!

    • @mattbrattensborg7785
      @mattbrattensborg7785 8 лет назад +1

      +Bone Drone Definitely bad ass engines! With a little tuning 400+hp and loads of torque!

    • @exoticcreature3059
      @exoticcreature3059 8 лет назад +4

      Matt Brattensborg All without the weight of Yamaha'a 5.3 L V8 outboard. It's has it's role in the boating world, but damn is it heavy. I'd also like to say that with 4 stroke outboards on the rise you would think there would be more aftermarket support for them. The SHO's from Yamaha are the only ones I know of currently to see this. But since those older two strokes are still out there it may be awhile.

    Evinrude ETEC AKA BEAST, mine is the same way, but i only use non ethanol and i use stabilizer. no matter how long it sits, turn the key and bam. sounds like it starts up mad and ready to fight! nice ranger bro!

  • @THEFERMANATOR

    @kddcc Fuel begins to break down in as little as 2 weeks with ethanol blended fuels. once phase seperation occurs breakdown is right around the corner from the moisture that will begin to accumulate from the seperated ethanol. Injected engines don't seem to have teh problems taht carbed engines experience from it though.

    @superhawkn gas is fine, these ear muffs are being used properly. I know because we have a water pressure gauge on the console and it reads normal PSI.

  • @kddcc
    @kddcc  12 лет назад

    @fishingGator01 only have to get a new one every year. the lower unit was starting to peel alittle when we bought the boat used so we had a local marine shop paint it. he did a terrible job cause its worse. we hardly run a ground in this boat.

    @2bns08 on this e-tec there is no direct water hose hookup thats why i used the ear muffs. but both ways work just the same and do equally fine.

  • @kddcc
    @kddcc  13 лет назад

    @marshjb we had someone repaint the lower unit to stop it from peeling...but it only made it peel worse. so we just dont care anymore. lol but we havnt been running in the sand.

    Dalton don't for get to tape off front intake water hole on leaning edge of your m2 lower unit I forgot to and melted impeller on my 300 etec was only pushing 11psi at 5500 normally pushes 20psi what does your push at high rpm so going to put in new water pump kit an go get some mahi this week I have a 08 300 down here you don't have to fog for winter also do you run xd 100 evinrude oil so a learner burn if U get a injector problem you wipe out cylinder run evinrude tcw3 oil on computer setting so it runs a little richer on oil just saying JT sounds good as always happy tecing

      I would highly recommend this engine. we have had this 250 since 2005 and have close to 1,000 hours on it and have only had to change spark plugs and water pumps. torquey engine and super reliable, starts up first time after 5+ months of storage. my only complaint is the E-tecs are thirsty

      Scott M still do! Running strong! Overall it’s been fairly maintenance free, had some corrosion issues in the frame that had to be replaced but other than that it’s been regular maintenance! We estimate it’s got roughly 1,500 hours at least

    NEVER, EVER remove the outflow fitting when running with the flush boot on. It creates pressure in the cooling system the engine needs. Maybe stick to farming?

    • @kddcc
      @kddcc  8 лет назад +9

      maybe you didn't see the part where i removed some dirt from blocking the tell-tail. It being off for 10 seconds isn't going to hurt anything
      don't get so bent out of shape bro

    • @SoFloCamejo
      @SoFloCamejo 8 лет назад +6

      As long as there's a water supply and the impeller is pumping water, it's not going to hurt anything. That motor isn't being ran to the point of it getting extremely hot.
