By the way. I what i found most valuable in this video is being able to make sure im doing everything im supposed to be doing by checking off the steps in this video. Im also not commenting for 100 dollars. Id honestly rather take advice over the money. I feel like im stuck in this situation and will never be able to wiggle out of it and im getting so frustrated with it. Again. Stay up keep going and ill see you at the top. Bless up!

all these points were great. I believe a lot of barbers don't get this. when you mentioned focusing on what your good at that really resonated. I remember starting up I was always trying to focus on what I wasn't good at and when it naturally switched in my mind is when I had more clients. all your points though are very useful and a great reminder even when you know it sometimes a reminder makes you go back to the foundation. great stuff.looking forward to our meeting! god less

So I've been cutting hair professionally for 13 years. The problem I am having is getting clients to book appointments. I just switched from taking walk-ins to only accepting appointments through an app that they go and pay for services All In one. But of course there are a lot of people that come up with excuses not to do it and this is where my problem comes in I don't want to budge or lower my standards I feel as though I have went through all the necessary steps to become the type of Barber that I am which is a pretty damn good one all the stuff that's talked about in this video I'm already on top of and I've been on top of it simply because since day one I've studied my craft on everything she overcome Clipper over comb razor fades and etc. I take my time doing what I do on every cut I make sure my separation lines are very neat and even. So I feel like again I don't need to lower my standards so that people just can walk in when they want to it just messes up the system that I'm trying to have with appointments. I also seen that you've helped people come to or from charging 20 $30 and go to making 60 to $200 a haircut but I just can't see how that's possible for one in general and then for two in the area that I'm in in Sanford North Carolina. I'm wondering if I need to move and go to Atlanta or New York or Florida or maybe even just a bigger city in North Carolina so that my craft is appreciated and I can charge what I'm worth right now I'm charging Max $30 for a full service haircut vets razor line enhancements hot towel feed and haircut with a beard and mustache trim I just don't feel like I'm getting paid enough for what I'm doing and I feel like I need to go elsewhere let me know if you have any advice for this issue I'm having I'm about to watch this 20 minute video to see if I can get any pointers from it thanks for the advice keep going see you at the top.

Got it. First of all, you're making this way more complicated than it needs to. Can you charge $400 a cut in your area? That might be a stretch. But we can get someone like yourself up to $75/$100 in any city due to the fact that at that level, it comes down to can you generate new clients in your business. If you can't, you'll have all the issues listed above. If you can, none of the above would be an issue at all

@@dlucs_ yes i definitely can generate new clientele. Im going to vista print some cards and start at $50 for walk ins. Once i get more tools.better clippers a hot later machine etc for extra services then i will raise the price again. I figurer that was the answer to this equation, throwing away the complaining non appreciative clients and gaining new clients.

    TAKEAWAYS: 🔥🔥🔥
Time is your biggest weapon as a business owner when trying to grow/scale your business. Trying to focus on/improve the weakest points of the business will ultimately do more harm than good. Instead, barbers should double down on their strongest points to build momentum and progress/scale faster.
Spend time focusing/obsessing over one thing long enough, you'll know how to attack it better than anyone else.
