What do you clean them with when they’re soaking in the bucket? I found stones in my driveway (much smaller than what you have) and I sat with a bucket of water and a toothbrush to clean most of the grass and gravel dust from them. It was a tedious and painstaking process… 😂😂😂 Still not sure what they are, but they glow too 😀🙌
So, what you are seeing is just my cleaned rocks in a metal bucket full of just plain water. My secret is simple, I buy a product called Iron Out because most of the rocks in South Carolina are stained with red clay mud or soil with a lot of iron in it. I fill my bucket of rocks up with water to cover them and then pour in about a cup of iron out and then let them sit for up to 7 days. It may not take that long, and more iron out is not better. In fact, when they dry they will become chalky looking if you use too much, but that will do the trick.

Thanks for the advice 🤓 I actually have Iron out too.. live in the country.. water gets rusty. 😄 I’ve always been a rock collector, and have piles of them and I’m trying to learn more about them. I appreciate the help!! 😁 Are you planning on cutting some of them? I have an older wet saw.. from back when they made things to last 🙌😊

I’m slowly collecting tools so I can get more involved in rockhounding. I love it so much 😀
