I think geodes are one of wonders of nature. So plain and unassuming on the outside, cut it open and it's "POW! How do you like me now?" One question, what causes the insides to be such different colors from one another? Is it where they are found and what minerals are around them? Will you be slabbing any of these? Those friends who sent all these are keepers, for sure. Thanks for sharing these beauties.

Beautiful autumn colours, leaves and geodes. I think the pair you called lions 🦁 look more like ginger kittens lol. Keep on with the jokes they make me laugh, l tried to pronounce geode your way but I need more practice! Your info about safety really good too.

Beautiful geodes Tyler and Alex sent you. I'm the least lucky guy when it comes to finding them they're always solid all the way through. I even purchased 4 Sonoran amethyst geodes uncut from a place and wouldn't you know it? No caverns in them either lol. Maybe some day

Very cool. Thanks for sharing. Question... Is that the standard, relatively thick, blade that came with the Skil saw, or is it a thinner blade? I bought the saw, but have concerns about the blade thickness and the amount of stone I will lose. Looking for a thinner option. Any thoughts? Thank again. Awesome video...

I hv a question for you though...is there a way to tell if the inside of the geode will hv color or will just be white?? I know you never know what the inside would look like or what color it will be. But is there a way to tell if it had color or not???

What saw do you use? Also, how were the huge ones opened up. Doesn’t look like a saw because they are not perfectly smooth. Either way thank you for this video. My daughter and I just found a bunch of geodes a few hours from our house and we want to open them up but not just shatter them into a million pieces.
