@Maisha Samiha Yeah, having heard his voice so much, I can now recognize it almost immediately when he uses that particular voice. Still have yet to recognize it quickly when he uses his other voice ranges, like in games and animation.
OMG, I did not know that Bian Jiang dubbed Ye Hua (another one of my favourite character in 3L3W...) So he dubbed three of my favourite characters then, Lan Zhan, Ye Hua and Tuoba Jun?! Amazed!!!
I like his voice for Ye Hua so much even thought I know it wasn’t Mark Chao’s own voice. After that, it took me awhile to get used to Mark Chao’s voice, almost felt like Mark’s own voice was a letdown... then I watched a few Mark Chao movies with his own voice and eventually warmed up to his voice as well. As brilliant as Bian Jiang is, I still prefer the actors use their own voice because we form an attachment to that voice if we like it.
I always joked with my mom when she watches Chinese drama that are viet dubbed bc you're stealing away from the real acting if you can't hear their voices. Well, JOKES ON ME, it's all dubbed with someone else's voice anyway.....
not all.. depends on the drama ... but most yea.. Avenue X explained it all to us . Its all about that Mandarin accent because literally for Chinese people in China the actors have a lot of dialects and accents because they come from all over so it would be like a deep southern accented person playing a native new Yorker using their home accent...
I will never be able to watch my favourite dramas the same way ever again ;___; I mean the guy is awesome, being able to dub all this characters, and I do understand why they don't really have other choice than to rely on dubbing, but it.. removes some of the magic. I love William and Wallace's true voices so it's sad to know that they were not the one actually speaking when I watched the dramas. Anyway, he does an amazing job, because he manage to make them all sound different.
It is a bit strange but there are reasons for dubbing in Chinese dramas, the primary reason is that often the actors are from different regions of china and have very different accents when speaking Mandarin, dubbing is a way to make sure they all have the same "broadcast accent" so to speak. Lol if you watch behind the scenes its actually more shocking sometimes when a handsome guy or beautiful girl has a really strong regional accent.
What's really creepy is that Bian Jiang is 'tested' on his dubbing skills later in the episode and one of the ones he dubs over is Yibo playing Zhai Zhi Wei from love actually. Then almost two years later he dubs Lan Zhan who is played by Yibo.
Can you tell me what dramas and movies you been acting in as a voice maker - Can it be told in wiklocypedia under the description of the dramas as well,
China is huge and there are many different accents. And a lot of them don’t even speak standard mandarin or even mandarin at all (one time I saw a Chinese drama and the lead is Korean who didn’t even speak Chinese 😂). Also, an American film that is 2 hour long takes 9 months to film. A Chinese drama with 60 episodes takes 4 months. This makes the filming process a lot faster because they don’t have to worry about the background noises. How do you think they keep pumping out new dramas every day 😂 Also *most* of the actors are just pretty faces and not really that great at acting let alone do the voices right to fit the characters.
@@kellyt8836 all actors are just pretty faces? Bitch not you discrediting hardworking actors over something that they don't have a control. Most of them do stunts themselves.
One reason is because the chinese actors are from all over China. China is very big. Actors from different parts of China have very different accents. Imagine actors from every country in Europe acting in English in a movie. It would be very weird if a family in a drama speaks with different accents. Professional voice actors are trained so they speak without those accents and with better pronunciation.
Lizy Liz I don’t buy that excuse. Most dramas are already captioned anyway so why the dubbing? I think being an actor, you should at least try to act with a presentable accent 🙄
@@disappearintothesea You are right. In the past, China has produced extremely good actors who can handle the voice themselves amazingly well . But nowadays these young actors are just "stars" and "idols" who actually don't even know how to act but their fans just blindly worship them lol. TBH they no more put their heart into polishing their skills and they are not on par with their predecessors.
That's my reaction. I feel very strange now and will probably look at Chinese dramas differently upon learning this information. I wish I never found out
It is not ridiculous if you've the slightest knowledge about China's Geography and languages. Imagine actors from all European countries acting together in English. Everyone will have very different accents because of very different first languages. It would be extremely weird.
I think Wang yibo would have never thought Bian Jiang will be dubbing for his role as Lan wangji 😂 This day day show brings many people together 😅
His work on Ye Hua's voice is particularly good. Filled with emotion 👏
Ye Hua and Lan Zhan's voices were my favorite, and I am so surprised, that it was the same CV ^_^
Same here, I'm surprised he dubbed Ye Hua as well (and Tuoba Jun too waaah)
Ye Hua and Lan Zhan sound exactly the same to me haha. Recognized his voice right away.

Bian Jiang, your voice is a miracle gift.. The drama was nothing without you.
