Yes and especially as a dancer, that is absolutely heartbreaking to hear. Being a teen and senior is so difficult because your body is going through changes and it can make it seem like you “regress”. 😔
alexa’s choreography is very popular in the competition world and she is a really great teacher, my best friend has a solo by alexa and is training with her all the time. she wins everywhere she goes, enough said.
Kalani use to be an extremely good technical dancer, she was very flexible her lines were perfect she use to be amazing, however I think that she should of stayed in her old studio because after, Abby basically ruined her I feel like of she would of stayed on her old studio she would of had a more brilliant future. Just my opinion.
If she had stayed at her studio she would an unknown (but talented) dancer. What Abby Lee company does for the kids is not only to teach them dance it also promotes them for jobs. Kalani is now a host and model asides being touring with the dance show. I think she made the right decision.

To be fair Kira signed a contract with lifetime. She's said previously that they didn't actually sign an ALDC contract. That's mind of why Kira go to do whatever she wanted. Because as long as the producers liked them and the drama Kalanis spot was safe regardless of how Abby felt.
They should have kept Alexa and her amazing teaching/choreo and got rid of Abby and Gia. Imagine how good all the girls could be dancing with her as their teacher!! Her critiques are so spot on and she is strict not rude and demeaning like Abby.

However, they did grab substantial worldwide fame, by coming to the show for a few seasons. Life is about balance & trade offs, so It's all good in the end. They're BOTH happy w/ their decision to join the show, they now say. And life is like a box of chocolates.....You never know what you're gonna get. :-) Have a WONDERFUL 2019, everyone!

That's one of the biggest problems with Dance Moms, Wayyyyyyyyy over the top with scripted drama. They have Abby acting like she doesn't have a clue who Alexa is. Alexa is among the top choreographers in the dance world and anyone at that level of dance knows who Alexa is. Thanks to RUclips we can keep up with the dance world and fast forward through the fake scripted drama.
I love love Love this piece. Alexa was spot on about Kalani. It’s so sad to have seen her and the Club Dance girls regress. They are still amazing dancers but if they stayed at Club or Project 21 with Alexa they’d be untouchable. I just wish dancers realized that going on a tv show like dance moms isn’t exactly the best idea for their career.

You could tell Alexa didn’t want any part of the drama or the TV shooting and she just wanted to teach her student. I also feel that they had shot that scene a couple times and the producers had been making suggestions you can hear it in her voice when she says “just here to teach my student.”
I’m a dancer and I have worked with Alexa Moffett and she is hard and challenging, but she is the most uplifting supportive choreographer I’ve ever met and I feel like this wasn’t showed off in the episode. Kalani definitely should’ve gone back to her home studio. At the end of the day yes the show gives her good exposure but Alexa’s studio gives her A better environment to learn better technique and better choreography.
