i dont understand why people say that bare ghulam ali is from kasur patiala......kasur patiala is nothing...it is not a ghrana....bare ghulam ali learned patiala style and made little improvisations.....but this doesnt change his basic ghrana from which he learned and made his name famous....by making a little improvisations does not mean that u belong to another ghrana ?
True sir. Improvisation is the key of development and those who sticked to the same style vanished quickly. Examples are many. Hardly people here such repeats. Thank you.

Secondly this has been recorded long time ago thats why the quality of this record is so poor. Back in the days Ashiq ali khan was the best classical singer.

Rafi had a flawless voice, but when it comes to real classical singing and understanding of vocal harmonics, there were no other people than Ustad Aashiq Ali Khan saheb and Ustad Salamat Ali khan

Faqeer Ahmed is absolutely right . Million ustads like this ashiq Ali khan Sahab, can never sound as pure and clean as Rafi Sahab. Never . Rafi was holy and it shows through his voice . Sooooo beautiful and pure was Rafi sahabs voice . Mashallah
