Looks like a winner. Godin makes great guitars.
A lot of semi-hollows are sonically closer to solid bodies than to archtops. Love when guitar builders deviate from the 335 template like this.
Godin makes fantastic instruments. Nice to see you feature them!
Great instruments; they also make Seagull acoustics which are great as well. Kudos to John; great interviewer and player!
I have a Norman 00-style acoustic that I really cherish. It wasn't expensive at the time but it plays like some of the best factory guitars I tried.
I am loving all of the recent Godin love here on PG Plays. Thx for another great demo Mr Bolinger.
Outstanding
been a while since I last saw a Godin....Not what I expected, Very nice though
Love that piece
Designed & appointed as a Coronado II or Starcaster. Elegant & girthy
Nice take on the "1983" riff. Looks like a great axe!
Nice playing. Where did you get that backing track in the intro?
Awesome guitar! There is also a red version with Seymour Dunca P-rails pickups.
godin are so cool thanks for the veiw think they will have a gk montreal i know they did it on a few of there guitars?
Take Five Cool .
When you going do an update of Warren Haynes Gov't Mule rig rundown?
I've noticed that the Bad Cat has stuck around a long time after the first look and review. I wonder if it's permanent?
How is the higher fret access in this? I have an ES-175 which has a similar cut, but obviously thicker and I much prefer a ES-335 type of double cut to play higher up. But I have never played a single cut thinline ES-135 type like this guitar. I have been thinking about getting a Montreal. But not sure I can get along with that shape. I play lead. Another thing I don't like is the 2 knobs system. Never understood why companies do this to 2 pickups guitars. Can't be to save money as it probably saves them 2 dollars. But one can modify it to 4 knobs and this is what I must do if I get one. By the way, is it ES-339 sized? it doesn't look ES-335 sized.
First thing I do when I run across a 2 pickup guitar with only 2 knobs, is do a stacked knob conversion on it. I'm also one of those players that is always playing with the volume and tone knobs when I play, so that's my reasoning.
Hell, my wife even jokes with me that she wished that I'd dial her knobs as much as I do the ones on my guitars. I usually shoot back some remark about if I could get her to react like my guitars do, that I might do it more often... I appreciate that my dog lets me use his house when I'm once again locked out of the house. Of course, he doesn't care, he's usually sleeping on my portion of the bed, anyway. 😂
That outro sounded like a Joe Beam tune?
I think that outro was Lady from Empanima (spelling) I'm not sure who originally wrote or performed the song though...😳
Ipanima
If I hear someone over 40 demo something by playing blues one more time I might neck myself.
Go ahead, do us all a favor
@@Maxaipa777 nah I gotta keep you boring, has been blues dad's on your toes.
Not very Christian of you to support someone unliving themselves. Something in the bible along the lines of "killing them in your heart" or something?
Terrible music taste and fake conviction. I know exactly the type of pathetic animal you are.
@@Maxaipa777Ha ha
It's Hendrix, SRV and mindless chugging that do it for me - immediate shutdown. Blues is a wide genre though...
@@Maxaipa777 wearing the number of God and goading someone into self termination. How big of you.
I think I'd rather stick around knowing I'm a better guitarist than you as you meander around the fretboard still trying to figure out what notes you are playing 😉
