Weighing in as an American - I am seeing a few comments indicating that MFer isn’t insulting, but I wanna emphasize that it’s only in specific areas/age groups/settings where calling someone an MFer might not be considered rude. That’s not the context of this faceoff so I would interpret MFer in this faceoff as definitely insulting and used in an aggressive way.

Poirier is one of my all-time favourite MMA fighters and I'm really praying for a miracle on June 1. Along with millions of his fans, I hope he achieves his life-long dream to finally win the undisputed UFC lightweight championship. There's no denying the fact that he has a huge mountain to climb and only destiny will decide his fate. No outcome can ever be guaranteed and anything is possible inside the octagon. I have never seen Dustin appear so tense and so full of nervous energy during any of his prior press conferences. I suppose it's only because he is aware that this is most likely his last opportunity to win the belt. I hope to see a relaxed, calm and focused Warrior on fight night. LFG! AND NEW...

Beating all other big names has nothing to do with being a weakling against current competitor. When you let emotions and rage get to your head and your body language starts manifesting it clearly you become a weakling. Mentally strong people are not raging and show stiff body language before a fight. It was absolutely evident through the press conference and weigh in that rage and emotions got better of him. There is a term composed and all big fighters stay composed pre fight so as not to lose focus from the target. Being an underdog and start showing tense body language will turn you into a weakling in upcoming fight. DP was and still is probably the best boxer in division but look at the fight he got significantly outstruck by Islam who is known for his grappling and wrestling. Conor used to be a different fighter his prefight trash talk used to be all fun. Comes khabib fight and khabib kind of made him mentally enraged. He just wanted to kill khabib now, what happened then? did poorly against khabib and all his skills went down flush because rage got better of him. In subsequent fights again DP he again brought that body language to bouts, got demolished again. Charles against Islam in the lead upto the game got seriously wound up, he wasn’t that bad in reality but succumbed to his own anger and rage. Dustin did right thing to meet Islam before fight and clear the confusion Which made for a reasonably good display in fight. The best striker arguably in division right now got outstruck today. I love Dustin probably as much as you do but I will speak truth.
