Thanks for the update, Chris. I’m on my second time through Ulysses with your help and with whomever and whatever else provides a scaffolded view into the labyrinth. There’s a younger RUclipsr called Adam Savage who’s doing a similar series but is stuck part way through Laestragonians! Worth checking out if you haven’t yet. He throws in some maps which help. Looking fwd to your opera series - a good segue way from the Joyce could be “Don Giovanni” - just a suggestion. Homespun humanities brands it well, keeping it fun and unstuffy. Congrats on getting fiber lines for faster uploads!

That is fantastic. I hope that not only do you have more understanding of the book, but that you get pleasure from it. I have ideas for the next videos if I can get the time...take care and thank you so much for your support and suggestions.

Thank you so much for your support. It means a lot to me. I have run at Finnegans Wake a few times. It is fun and interesting but not a linear novel. Start on any page and read it in a circle.

Gee, Chris, so pleased your still among the living. For newcomers, the ULYSSES series is gold and will pay you back multifold (probably not a word, but should be) for your time invested in the novel and Chris’ take on it.
I struck out trying to convince him to tackle FINNEGANS WAKE with me a couple of years ago. Assuming doing more Joyce isn’t on the menu, how about Nabokov? LOLITA, PALE FIRE, even a sort of pre-attempt at LOLITA, LAUGHTER IN THE DARK, is really good, though not as rich as the two I already named.
Any other ideas? I hope so. For something new and American, David Foster Wallace’s INFINITE JEST is on my list. John Irving?

Chris, I am part of a long list of fans waiting with bated breath for the upcoming material.
I stumbled upon your Ulysses series a mere 2 days ago. I failed miserably at my first attempt to read it about 4 or 5 years ago but now? Well, I'm already on episode 3! I'm going for an episode a day. The videos are super! I took your advice - to watch each video then read the corresponding episode. In addition to the insight being marvelous, doing so makes me feel like I am lowkey hunting for easter eggs which makes the reading experience more fun. Thank you for taking the time to put this together. Your enthusiasm and humor are the fuel that is carrying me along the odyssey that is this intimidating yet delightful piece of literary genius.
A request for the future: would you be so kind as to consider creating a series with Joseph Heller's Catch 22 as its focal point?
Lots of love from Nairobi, Kenya. 😊
