I found myself shaking my head as u turned the pages-wow-I have never seen such detail for night scenes-the way he captures the reflections and the lighting are... ... And as an extra bonus he shows us how it did it at the end. I will definitely buy this book :)
Holy Cow Teoh! To think that those are Watercolours is just astonishing!!! Being able to control the blends and separations of color is INCREDIBLY difficult so those paintings are amazing!
Finally! I love this book. I bought it to observe and learn how to paint night time scenes as well because I find it really difficult to do. He's the only artist I know that can draw these types of scenes with much detail and clarity. Looking forward to see more of his fantastic works in the future. Just bought both his books these past two weeks while I'm in Japan. They're still sealed so I'll open them when I'm back home, but I already know they're great, so looking forward to chilling out with his books later this week.
It's so interesting to me that he chose to paint the most adorable small shops and houses for his daylight book but went with tall buildings, skylines and such for the night themed book. The same with the angle: closeups for daytime, wide angle for night. Makes for an interesting feeling, no?
