This video was posted 3 years ago, but watching it now is very helpful. Im about to sit my half yearlys in less than a week and this has helped an insane amount. Thank you.
7:29 Is it perhaps that he is uncomfortable being surrounded by technology. Is ambiguity (justified through evidence) in response tolerated by the markers or are they expecting a single view?
Yes, uncomfortable being surrounded by technology is a good answer also (provided you have at least one piece of evidence to back it up, as discussed in the video). There are many possible interpretations so as long as you support your explanation with evidence, you're all good!
I'd let them answer this, but they ideally should have 3 features for a 4 marker. 1 mark for the topic sentence, one mark per evidence/effect is the way it is marked if I recall correctly
3 concise sentences which satisfy these 3 elements is enough. It will take about 5-6 lines to do 3 sentences of analysis (including a topic sentence). If you are smashing it for time, you can always add another point (a third piece of evidence) but this is NOT necessary.
Thank you! Also, some questions ask for a specific technique such as imagery. So would i not mention a imagery again or would i specify the type of imagery for each single piece of evidence. Eg, the nostalgic imagery, the whimsical imagery and so forth?

Hi, just a last minute question.
For Tim Winton's 'The Boy Behind The Curtain', do you think it's possible that they can specify one of his essays?
If it were a 4 mark question would you still only look for 2 features in the text/visual?
I'd let them answer this, but they ideally should have 3 features for a 4 marker. 1 mark for the topic sentence, one mark per evidence/effect is the way it is marked if I recall correctly
@@notdroidbot2348 Thank you!
@@Nicole-ss9zl 1 topic sentence + 3 pieces of evidence for a 4 marker!

I have seen 3 marker questions that offer like 7 lines. How would I structure it then? More evidence?
