#TIM30 No giveaway this time? :( either way, Please keep these coming, the info that you provide in these videos is unlike any other resource. Thank you!
What monster gave this a downvote? I wasn't sold on this channel at first but I'd argue that the content here is the most valuable that I consume on a regular basis. For example, everything in this video is so thoughtful and every question you could have is already addressed. That's not easy to do. It also makes an extremely compelling case to spending $50 per post (or video, or podcast) to market them.
wow! thanks a lot, Brendan! It means a lot coming from you! :) I'm glad you noticed how much time is being spent answering potential questions/arguments. I must say Sam Oh helps a lot with challenging my ideas and being my first critic :)
Great video, Tim. I got all the way to the end - that's the best feedback I've given anyone in weeks! I found this via a Twitter ad from your personal account, so looks like your guys are doubling down. Nice work.
I think I remember Neil Patel saying something like, "When you hit Publish, your work is 20% done". Paid promotion is great, but the middle ground of how to promote content without just spending on ads... it feels like there is a lot of gold there.
Cool video, useful as always. Will definitely try the personal account for twitter ads. Can you tell a little bit more about the ads targeting you use?
thanks, Pshemislav! Glad you enjoyed this episode! As for targeting - we only used "cold traffic." So no form of retargeting was used in this experiment.
Hey Tim, Thanks for this video. I have a question wrt User retention. How do you identify which users are not using Ahrefs to its fullest potential? and how do you reach them out? The touchpoints. And also, what kind of information do you share with those people to read so that they start using the other features in Ahrefs. Curious to know more about this. TIA
we don't try to identify those users :) Our content helps all groups of users: unfamiliar with Ahrefs, new to Ahrefs, experienced with Ahrefs. From the same article each group of users can discover something useful. So we don't try to identify each group of users and tailor our articles to them specifically. Hope it makes sense :)

Cool video. What's the targeting for the ads? People who touch your site/profile + email list? Or do you go cold as well?
afaik it was all cold :) But let me summon SQ to this comment just in case
Hey Gael! It was all cold 🙂

hah :) Glad our Twitter ad brought you here, Shane! And thanks for your kind words about the video :)
Thank you for your support, Tim. Here in PRNEWS.Io, we keep repeating that investing only in content is not enough. You need to spend X2 on promo
glad to see you here, Alex! :) And yes, if you put money & efforts to create content, you HAVE to put some more money & efforts to promote it.
