Ah yes, so it begins. The incoming renaissance of Xenoblade X appreciation, currently the most underappreciated of the series. It's going to be incredible seeing a whole new crowd come to love this game and its music.
Maybe they will make the remake more accessible but the original version has 2 issues (1) It was on Wii U which no one bought (2) It had very obtuse systems. Not to mention that the biggest chunk of the story wasn't in the main story quests but the side quests. I enjoy those elements. I enjoy the exploration and how the game tries to create more of a world than a game even moreso than the mainline Xenoblade entries. However, most JRPG fans really just want a simple linear experience.

I love Xenoblade X's entire soundtrack, its all incredible work. This song has a sort of companion piece called "The Way" that's a primarily acoustic guitar and vocal focused song that follows the same melodies as this song. The remaster of X is coming out in March as well, I'm hoping more people will listen to its OST as its release approaches
Still one of my favourite pieces of music in any game and I‘m very excited for the Switch version of X! I also recommend giving the day- and nighttime themes of Sylvalum a listen. It‘s a continent in the game, that’s more or less „asleep“ during the day, but wakes during the night, and the difference in the two themes reflects that perfectly.
What I love about this piece even though it's relatively simple in construction is the unique soundscape it builds from the mix of symphonic, electronic, rock and acoustic guitar sounds. Each of them stand out so much in the mix not because it's mixed poorly but because these sounds are so traditionally separate that they are incongruous in the ear when listening. But, I can tell you for certain that I didn't even notice the first time I heard the piece when I played the game. Maybe because the sound was so confident and bombastic that I couldn't imagine any of the choices made being a mistake on the composer's part. At this point, the sound isn't foreign to me anymore, so I couldn't tell you if the instrumentation actually blends well together or I've just become accustomed to it. So, I really appreciate the video giving some perspective on what it's like to listen to it with fresher ears.
This game was my introduction to Sawano, and I still very much appreciate it for doing so. My life has been significantly changed by this franchise, and this song is partially what led me to giving Xenoblade on the Wii a second chance. I’m so glad that this game gets a second life on a much better and more popular console.

I absolutely ADORE Sawano's work as him and Yoko Shimomura are genuinely my favorite composers out of Japan. Also Sawano mentioned that his work on X is some of his favorite because it helped him solidify the sound he wanted. Next to Gundam Unicorn and Promare's ost X is probably my other favorite set of works he's produced.

Opinions about the soundtrack for Xenoblade X when it originally came out was quite polarised, and I would say leaned more towards the negative among the general fanbase. As someone who loved it from the start (the OST has stayed a part of my driving playlist since 2015), I'm extremely happy that it's aged like fine wine, and that even more people will soon get to experience the game and its soundtrack for the first time.
I feel like it would be cool if you reacted to "All Stars" and "Unbeatable" from Friday Night Funkin' Mario's Madness, they are two very cool songs with a lot of intricacies. Also, in All Stars, Pay attention to the enemy's voice and icon during the fourth part.

Thumbs rule, checking Xeno X, needs to look into NLA (Day and Light) and Raokimeraterasia, which are fantastic soundtracks of this game.
