At first I thought this was like a beautiful romantic tophat because of the black base lol but I googled the artist and understand the concept now 😌 .. sidenote- I'm so glad that you rarely, if ever, use fondant for your creations.. I've not met a fondant yet that didn't taste like a dentist's office 🤢

Having made a black iced cake in the past, I received multiple complaints about the icing staining the teeth, dentures, lips, tongues and even gums of several people. Though beautiful and artistic, be aware of any dark food coloring and it's effects when eaten. This cake is gorgeous! ( I tried airbrushing black over white icing and had fewer complaints and the cake looked deep black. The biggest problem was "running", so the cake had to be refrigerated to prevent the "weeping".)
